Security Technique using SSH Tunneling for CCTV Remote Access (SSH 터널링을 이용한 CCTV 원격접속 보안기법)

  • Video security has recently emerged as an important issue owing to CCTV video image spill accidents over the Internet. KISA recommends the use of encryption protocols for remote access through its guidelines for CCTV personal video information protection. But still, many products do not adhere to the guidelines, and those products are easily exposed to security threats, such as hacking. To solve these security vulnerabilities, this paper proposes a CCTV system that connects from remote locations, and is implemented by using secure shell (SSH) tunneling techniques. The system enhances security by transmitting encrypted data by using SSH. By using the tunneling technique, it also solves the problem of not being able to access a CCTV recorder located inside a firewall. For evaluation of the system, this paper compares various CCTV remote access schemes and security. Experimental results on the effectiveness of the system show it is possible to obtain remote access without a significant difference in transmission quality and time. Applying the method proposed in this paper, you can configure a system secure from the threats of hacking.

Assessment of Inundation Rainfall Using Past Inundation Records and CCTV Images (CCTV영상과 과거침수기록을 활용한 침수 강우량 평가 - 강남역을 중심으로 -)

  • For the past few years, the video surveillance market has shown a rapid growth due to the increasing demand for Closed Circuit Television(CCTV) by the public sector and the private security industry. While the overall utilization of CCTV in the public and private sectors is expanding, its usage in the field of disaster management is less than sufficient. Therefore, the authors of this study, in an effort to revisit the role of CCTV in disaster situations, have carried out a case analysis in the vicinity of the Gangnam Station which has been designated as a natural disaster-prone area. First, the CCTV images around the target location are collected and the time and depth of inundation are measured through field surveys and image analyses. Next, a rainfall analysis was conducted using the Automatic Weather Station(AWS) data and the past inundation records. Lastly, the authors provide an estimate of rainfall for the areas around the station and suggest viable warning systems and countermeasures. The results from this study are expected to make positive contributions towards a significant reduction of the damages caused by the floods around the Gangnam Station.

Implementation of Integrated Platform of Face Recognition CCTV and Home IOT (안면인식 CCTV와 홈 IOT의 통합 플랫폼 구현)

  • As the existing face recognition CCTV and home IOT have each individual hardware component, they have a disadvantage that the measured results of their sensors and the CCTV can not be viewed on one screen at a time. In order to overcome the above disadvantages of existing CCTV and home IOT, this paper proposes an integrated platform which constitutes the CCTV and home IOT as one hardware component using Raspberry Pi and shows each result on one screen through Smartphone application. The proposed integrated platform CCTV and home IOT system is a system which can run the application as a Smartphone and check the sensor value measured by Raspberry Pi and the picture taken through the Pi camera. The implemented system measures temperature, humidity, gas, and dust, and implements face recognition technology on a screen shot through a Pi camera, allowing it to be seen at a glance with a Smartphone.

  • CCTV(closed-circuit television) 시스템은 현재 도로 교통감시, 아파트 방범, 차량 번호판 인식 등 많은 분야에서 사용되고 있다. 사용되는 여러 분야에서 실제 물체와 감시 영상의 오차를 줄이기 위해 좀 더 향상된 화질의 영상을 필요로 하고 있다. 디지털 카메라가 보편화 되고 또한 급속한 영상 압축 기술의 발전으로 인해 고화질의 영상을 지원하는 카메라가 빠르게 출시되고 있다. 현재 보편화된 영상 압축 기술 중 가장 뛰어난 성능을 발휘하는 H.264를 지원 하는 카메라를 사용한 CCTV 감시 시스템이 늘고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 H.264를 이용하여 고화질의 영상을 지원하는 여러 카메라를 동시에 원격으로 감시할 수 있는 Client Viewer 를 구현 하였다. 구현한 Client Viewer 는 실시간 재생 기능 및 녹화 기능을 지원 하며 녹화된 영상을 검색하고 재생하는 DVR 기능도 지원한다.

  • The CCTV, closed circuit television, system is the most popular method to monitor some specific area. The CCTV-based monitoring system is composed of a lot of cameras installed the areas, and monitors to display the vision through the cameras. However, these systems have limitations to prevent some problems or to cope with the problems promptly, because they can carry out only the function that shows us the analogue images of the cameras. Especially, urban transit service area is the space where many people crowd in all at the same time and the space is not only wide but also distributed sporadically. This paper presents the efficient plan for video-based monitoring system to monitor urban transit service area. To build the efficient monitoring system, it is necessary to devide the monitoring area to appropriate sectors that should be composed to be displayed at a time. If the proposed method is used to construct the video-based monitoring system, the operating officers in the urban transit have the more direct and real images.

  • In this paper, we propose the method of fire detection. A wide distribution of CCTV cameras (Closed Circuit Television) in many public areas can be used not only for video surveillance systems but also for detecting fire occurrence. A proposed approach is based on visual information through a static camera. Video sequences are analyzed to find fire candidates and then spatial analyses procedure for detected fire-like color foreground is carried out. From the simulation results, our method showed the best performance when spatial and temporal fire candidates changes rapidly and close to fire motion.

  • Most surveillance systems of urban transit are based on CCTV(Closed Circuit Television). However, there is limitation that the passive monitoring system using CCTV in urban transit surveillance system to monitor massive environment applies thousands of cameras and it depends on operator's instinctive judgement whether it happens an accident or disaster. Urban transit operation corporations try to introduce the intelligent technology to overcome these problems as mentioned above. The intelligent system can be organized various ways and made configuration for purpose and function. In this paper, we describe the configuration problems of the existing surveillance system and propose the proper intelligent system configuration for urban transit We expect that the proposed configurations are very helpful to introduce the intelligent technology for urban transit surveillance system.

  • 폐쇄회로 텔레비전(CCTV, Closed Circuit Television)은 범죄 예방을 위해서 현재 많이 사용되고 있다. 하지만, CCTV의 경우 주로 영상에 기반하기 때문에 사각지대가 존재할 수 있으며 범죄 발생시 즉각적인 대처보다는 후속 조치에 주로 활용된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 문제점을 해결하기 위해 비명을 탐지할 수 있는 치안 향상을 위한 비명 감지 시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다. 제안하는 시스템은 비명을 감지하면 경보음을 제공해주며, 중앙 시스템에 알림을 주어 관리자가 확인하고 즉각적인 대응이 가능할 수 있도록 할 수 있는 기능을 제공한다.

Setting of the Operating Conditions of Stereo CCTV Cameras by Weather Condition

  • A wide variety of image application methods, such as aerial image, terrestrial image, terrestrial laser, and stereo image point are currently under investigation to develop three-dimensional 3D geospatial information. In this study, matching points, which are needed to build a 3D model, were examined under diverse weather conditions by analyzing the stereo images recorded by closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras installed in the U-City. The tests on illuminance and precipitation conditions showed that the changes in the number of matching points were very sensitively correlated with the changes in the illuminance levels. Based on the performances of the CCTV cameras used in the test, this study was able to identify the optimal values of the shutter speed and iris. As a result, compared to an automatic control mode, improved matching points may be obtained for images filmed using the data obtained through this test in relation to different weather and illuminance conditions.

  • The rapid expansion of unmanned retail stores has raised critical security concerns, thereby necessitating the development and implementation of robust protective measures. The absence of real-time monitoring systems in these environments has heightened the vulnerability to risks such as theft and property damage. Although closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems have been deployed to retrospectively investigate criminal activities, these systems are often insufficient in preventing incidents. This study introduces a Transformer-based intelligent CCTV system designed for the real-time detection of anomalous behaviors within unmanned retail environments. Unlike conventional systems that rely on basic machine learning models, our proposed system leverages human joint position data extracted from CCTV footage to classify a range of anomalous behaviors, including theft, falls, and property damage. Additionally, extensive hyperparameter optimization was performed to maximize the model's effectiveness in these specific environments. Our System enhances the system's usability by enabling real-time identification of anomalous behavior, complete with location data, timestamps, and corresponding video frame sequences.
