MA(Mesh Adaptive)-CBRP Algorithm for Wireless Mesh Network (Wireless Mesh Network를 위한 MA(Mesh Adaptive)-CBRP 알고리즘의 제안)

  • In this paper we propose MA-CBRP, mesh adaptive algorithm for wireless mesh networks. MA-CBRP is a hybrid algorithm based on ad-hoc CBRP protocol. In MA-CBRP, the mesh router periodically sends the ANN message as like Hello-message in CBRP. ANN message allows to all clients periodically store a route towards the mesh-router and renewal information in their routing cache. While CBRP periodically reply Hello-message, MA-CBRP does not reply to achieve less overhead. After receiving ANN message, mesh client send JOIN message to mesh router when the route towards mesh router changed. at the same time Register the entry to mesh router, it can achieve to reduce overhead of control the route and shorten the time to find route. consequently, MA-CBRP shows 7% reduced overhead and shortened time to find route than CBRP with regardless of clients number.

An Improvement of Fault Tolerant for Routing using Secondary Header in CBRP (CBRP에서 보조헤더를 이용한 라우팅 고장 극복 개선)

  • Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a network architecture which has no backborn network and is deployed temporarily and rapidly in emergency or war without fixed mobile infrastructures. All communications between network entities are carried in ad-hoc networks over the wireless medium. Due to the radio communications being extremely vulnerable to propagation impairments, connectivity between network nodes is not guaranteed. Therefore, previously developed routing algorithms in wired networks cannot be used. And many new algorithms have been undergone. This study proposes the Secondary Header approach to the cluster based routing protocol (CBRP). In case, the main header becomes abnormal status so that the main header can not participate the communications between network entities, the secondary header immediately replaces the primary header without selecting process of the new primary header. The performances of proposed algorithm CBRP-SH(Cluster Based Routing Protocol using Secondary Header) are compared with CBRP and results are presented in order to show the effectiveness of the algorithm.

  • Mobile Ad Hoc Network (MANET) is a network architecture, which has no backbone network and is deployed temporarily and rapidly in emergency or war without fixed mobile infrastructures.   • 본 논문에서는 MANET 환경에서 악의적인 노드들로부터 데이터를 보호하고 안전하게 전달하는 방법으로 클러스터 기반의 라우팅 알고리즘인 CBRP를 이용하여 클러스터 헤더간의 데이터 교환처럼 데이터를 캡슐화 하여 데이터의 은닉효과를 주었다. 또한 Diffie-Hellman 키 교환 알고리즘을 이용하여 노드간에 전송되는 데이터를 암호화함으로써 악의적인 노드는 데이터를 습득하더라도 키를 가지고 있지 않기 때문에 어떤 내용인지 알기 어려운 특성을 지니고 있다.

  • 최근 급속하게 성장하고 있는 무선 이동 통신 분야중의 한 분야가 Ad hoc 네트워크 분야일 것이다. Ad hoc 네트워크는 기존의 고정된 네트워크의 한계를 뛰어 넘는 네트워크이다. 본 연구에서는 Ad hoc 네트워크의 클러스터 기반의 라우팅 프로토콜에서의 인증에 대한 프로토콜을 멀티 계층으로 설계하였다. CBRP(Cluster Based Routing Protocol)의 라우팅 프로토콜에서는 클러스터간의 인증을 위하여 CH(Cluster Head)간의 인증을 통하여 인증을 하게 된다. CH간의 신뢰성을 위하여 MCH(Main Cluster Head)를 두어 CH간의 신뢰성을 보장함으로써 상호 클러스터간의 인증을 위한 프로토콜을 설계하였다.

  • In MANET, the frequent movement of nodes causes the dynamic network topology changes. Therefore, it is required that the routing protocol should be very stable to effectively respond the changes of the network changes. Moreover, the existing cluster-based routing protocol, that is the hybrid approach, has routing delay due to the re-electing of the cluster header. In addition, the routing table of CBRP has all only one hop distant neighbor nodes. PCBRP, proposed in this paper, ties two clusters in one paired cluster to make longer radius. Then the headers of the paired cluster manage and operate corresponding member nodes. In the current CBRP, when the cluster header leaves out the cluster, the delay, due to the re-electing a header, should be occurred. However, in PCBRP, another cluster header of the paired cluster plays the role instead of the left cluster header. This method reduces the routing delay. Concurrently, PCBRP reduces the delay when they route nodes in the paired cluster internally.

  • In VANET, frequent movement of nodes causes dynamic changes of the network topology. Therefore the routing protocol, which is stable to effectively respond the changes of the network topology, is required. Moreover, the existing cluster-based routing protocol, that is the hybrid approach, has routing delay due to the frequent re-electing of the cluster header. In addition, the routing table of CBRP has only one hop distant neighbor nodes. PCBRP (Paired CBRP), proposed in this paper, ties two clusters in one pair of clusters to make longer radius. Then the pair of the cluster headers manages and operates corresponding member nodes. In the current CBRP, when the cluster header leaves the cluster the delay, due to the re-electing a header, should be occurred. However, in PCBRP, another cluster header of the paired cluster takes the role instead of the left cluster header. This means that this method reduces the routing delay. Concurrently, PCBRP reduces the delay when routing nodes in the paired cluster internally. Therefore PCBRP shows improved total delay of the network and improved performance due to the reduced routing overhead.

  • In this paper, we propose the DQM - CBRP( Distributed QoS Monitoring - Cluster Based Routing Protocol ) routing protocol to provide Quality of Service guarantee for multimedia service in Ad hoc mobile network. This paper proves the DQM-CBRP can avoid message loss and is suitable to guarantee of QoS thru simulation of COMNET III.
