Total Hip Arthroplasty in the Severely Narrowed Femoral Canal by a Fibular Strut Using Knee Arthroscopic Tools: A Case Report and Technical Note

  • A 58-year-old-male patient presented with worsening pain and restricted movements of his right hip after undergoing multiple procedures for treatment of an inter-trochanteric fracture. Secondary arthrosis and an incorporated intramedullary fibular cortical bone graft which caused severe narrowing of the medullary canal were observed by imaging. Total hip arthroplasty (THA) using knee arthroscopic tools was performed for preparation of the severely narrowed femoral canal. A satisfactory clinical outcome was achieved and stable components were observed on radiographs at the 11-year follow-up. The technique described here may be considered when attempting to perform a conversion THA for preparation of a severely narrowed femoral canal using a fibular strut in order to minimize morbidity and prevent structural destabilization.

경제성평가의 국가간 적용가능성 진단도구를 이용한 류마티스관절염 치료제 사례 연구 (A Case Study using Transferability Diagnosis Tools Between Countries for Economic Evaluations of Rheumatoid Arthritis Drugs)

  • Objectives: With more and more health economic evaluations being performed in many countries, the question of whether the results from the foreign studies can be transferred to other country is becoming important. The objective of this study was to conduct a case study using three transferability diagnosis tools for economic evaluation on rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: Three diagnosis tools were used to assess transferability: Welte's tool, Boulenger's and Urdahl's. Five researchers who have experience on economic evaluation made consensus on the evaluation through the semi-delphi method. Results: With Welte's tool, absolute and relative prices in healthcare, practice variation, health-status preference, productivity and work-loss time were evaluated as biased. The transferability information score by Boulenger's was 85.9%, which means qood quality reporting. In case of Urdahl's, research questions were well defined and reporting was transparent and explicitly stated. However, both the relevance of data inputs to Korea and robustness of model were relatively low. In conclusion the UK study on rheumatoid arthritis could be partially transferable to Korea, and will need modeling-based adjustments.

고주파열처리에 의한 SM45C 경도가 가공 표면 품위에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Surface Roughness Influenced by SM45C Hardness in High Frequency Induction Hardening)

  • In this paper, the surface roughness influenced by Sm45C hardness in high frequency induction hardening and mechanical characteristics for the changed Hv 598 part and the unchanged hardness Hv 223 part by use of cermet and ceramic cutting tools was experimentally examined. Finally, we could be had some important results by processing surface roughness on cutting conditions such as cutting speed, feed rate, depth of cut and changes of tool nose radius. The results are summarized as follows. 1. In case of the same cutting condition, the hardness of workpiece was high and acquired the best processing surface roughness when the radius of the tool nose had 0.8 mm and feed rate was 0.04 mm/rev. 2. In case of the hardness of workpiece, though the cutting speed didn't have an effect on processing surface roughness, the less feed rate and the more processing surface roughness improved. On the other hand, the low inside the hardness of workpiece, the more cutting speed and the more feed rate increase, the processing surface of roughness improved. 3. Regardless of the hardness of workpiece, the change of the cutting depth didn't have great effect on the surface roughness. 4. On cutting the high surface hardness part with cutting tools of cermet and ceramic, it can be acquired the higher processing surface roughness because it hadn't been taken effect on cutting speed, In case of the cutting process of the low inside hardness part the two cutting tools have acquired the similar processing surface roughness.

XML기반 테스트 정보를 공유하는 소프트웨어 테스팅 자동화 프레임워크의 설계 (Design of Software Testing Automation Framework sharing Test Information based on XML)

  • 소프트웨어 테스팅 도구를 이용하여 테스팅 프로세스의 전체 또는 일부를 자동처리 함으로써 테스팅 시간의 단축과 비용을 줄일 수 있다. 현재 상용화된 테스팅 자동화 도구들은 상호 호환성을 고려하지 않고 개발되었기 때문에 특히, 테스트 설계 단계에서 생성되는 테스트 케이스(테스트 프로시저, 테스트 데이터 및 테스트 수행 결과의 예측 등)의 정보 공유와 재사용이 불가능하다. 본 논문에서는 테스트 케이스의 정보 공유와 재사용을 위하여 테스팅 자동화 도구들의 통합화 대신에 테스팅 수행과정에서 생성된 테스트 케이스 정보를 다른 테스팅 도구들에서도 접근, 공유할 수 있는 테스팅 자동화 프레임워크를 제안하였다. 제안한 통합 환경 테스팅 자동화 프레임워크의 유효성과 효과성, 그리고 시스템 성능과 테스트 케이스의 재사용성을 입증하기 위하여 기존 3개의 테스팅 도구들을 테스트 시나리오에 따라 실험하였다. 실험한 결과 통합 환경 테스팅 자동화 프레임워크 상에서 테스트 케이스의 재사용을 통해 테스팅 시간의 단축과 비용을 감소시킬 수 있었다.

  • We experienced an improved case of Jungkijeung assuming an aspect of pseudo seizure with Oriental medical treatment. For diagnosis of Jungkijeung(中氣證), first of all, we must take one's physicals actively using occidental diagnostic machinery and tools, In result, we can diagnose Jungkijeung(中氣證) in case of normal. In treatment of Jungkijeung(中氣證), it is considered that oriental psychotherapy and oriental medical treatment(herb-med, acupuncture, etc.) are more effective than occidental.

  • 실시간 시스템은 시스템의 행동이 입력 값 뿐만이 아니라 입력 값의 시간에도 의존적인 시스템이고, 타임드 오토마타는 실시간 시스템 모델링 및 분석에 대표적으로 쓰이는 모델이다. 모델 기반 테스팅은 소프트웨어의 요구사항을 표현한 모델로부터 생성된 테스트 케이스를 테스트 대상 프로그램에 수행함으로써 테스트 대상 프로그램이 모델에 명세된 대로 작동하는지 여부를 확인하는 기법이다. 본 연구에서는 타임드 오토마타 모델 기반 테스팅 도구인 UPPAAL-TRON, UPPAAL-COVER, SYMBOLRT를 동일한 시스템에 적용하는 사례 연구를 수행하고, 이를 기반으로 테스팅 기법 및 도구를 비교 분석한다.

  • Software linear and exponential acceleration/deceleration algorithms for control of machine axes of motion in industrial robots and CNC machine tools are proposed. Typical hardware systems used to accelerate and decelerate axes of motion are mathematically analyzed. Discrete-time state equations are derived from the mathematical analyses for the development of software acceleration/deceleration algorithms. Synchronous control method of multiple axes of motion in industrial robots and CNC machine tools is shown to be easily obtained on the basis of the proposed acceleration/deceleration algorithms. The path error analyses are carried out for the case where the software linear and exponential acceleration/deceleration algorithms are applied to a circular interpolator. A motion control system based on a floating point digital signal processor (DSP) TMS 320C30 is developed in order to implement the proposed algorithms. Experimental results demonstrate that the developed algorithms and the motion control system are available for control of multiple axes and nonlinear motion composed of a combination of lines and circles which industrial robots and CNC machine tools require.

  • 공공도서관과 대학도서관을 비롯한 우리나라 문헌정보학계에서는 독서치료에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있고 다양한 독서치료 방법도 적용되고 있다. 하지만 그동안 독서치료 영역에서는 단순하고 획일적인 질문을 사용하여 내담자를 이해하고 진단하는 방법이 주로 사용되어 왔다. 그러므로 독서치료에 적합한 심리평가도구에 대한 개발이 필요한 상황이다. 왜냐하면 독서치료에서 심리평가도구는 프로그램에 대한 효과 검증에 앞서 독서치료사가 치료 대상자를 이해할 수 있는 기본적인 정보원으로서의 역할을 한다. 또한 자료 선정 및 관련 활동을 설계하는 기초가 되는 중요한 도구가 된다. 이에 본 연구에서는 독서치료 효과 측정을 위한 질적 심리평가도구로 활용할 수 있는 면담과 행동평가, 종합평가 보고서 양식을 개발하고, 실제 독서치료 프로그램 장면에 적용한 사례들을 제시하였다.

Virtual Assembly Analysis Tool and Architecture for e-Design and Realization Environment

  • Many customers are no longer satisfied with mass-produced goods. They are demanding customization and rapid delivery of innovative products. Many companies are now realizing that the best way to reduce life cycle costs is to evolve a more effective product development paradigm using Internet and web based technologies. Yet there remains a gap between current market demands and product development paradigms. The existing CAD systems require that product developers possess all the design analysis tools in-house making it impractical to employ all the needed and newest tools. Hence, this paper addresses how assembly operation analysis can be embedded transparently and remotely into a service-oriented collaborative assembly design environment. A new assembly operation analysis framework is introduced and a relevant architecture and tools are developed to realize the framework. Instead of the current sequential process for verifying and validating an assembly design, a new Virtual Assembly Analysis (VAA) method is introduced in the paper to predict the various effects of joining during actual collaborative design. As a case study, arc welding and riveting processes are investigated. New service-oriented VAA architecture and its VAA components are proposed and implemented on prototype mechanical assemblies.

국소진동 보호구의 적합성 평가와 진동공구에 적합한 가진 스펙트럼에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Compatibility Evaluation of Hand-arm Adequate Vibration and an Oscillating Spectrum for Vibrating Tools)

  • The aim of this paper is to evaluate the compatibility of anti-vibration gloves, to predict the attenuation of vibration with different types of anti-vibration gloves, to estimate the spectra of the ISO 10819 standard, and to present an oscillating spectrum adequate for vibrating tools. This paper use two ISO standards for the measurement and evaluation of hand-arm vibration. Some anti-vibration gloves can attenuate vibration, but all the anti-vibration gloves in this study do not satisfy the ISO 10819 requirements. In case of equal vibration types, the outside materials are effective in order of leather, fabrics and rubber-coating. Anti-vibration gloves manufactured in the United State satisfy ISO 10819 criteria using United State subjects, but do not satisfy ISO 10819 using Japanese subjects. M-spectrum acceleration exists below 10Hz and H-spectrum exists above 500Hz. Generally vibrating tools have the peak of Z-axis, but generation of vibration differ from each vibrating tools.
