In this paper, we introduce a new speech synthesis method for Japanese and Korean arbitrary sentences using the natural speech data-base. Also, application of this method to a CAI system is discussed. In our synthesis method, a basic sentence and basic accent-phrases are selected from the data-base against a target sentence. Factors for those selections are phrase dependency structure (separation degree), number of morae, type of accent and phonemic labels. The target pitch pattern and phonemic parameter series are generated using those selected basic units. As the pitch pattern is generated using patterns which are directly extracted form real speech, it is expected to be more natural than any other pattern which is estimated by any model. Until now, we have examined this method on Japanese sentence speech and affirmed that the synthetic sound preserves human-like features fairly well. Now we extend this method to Korean sentence speech synthesis. Further more, we are trying to apply this synthesis unit to a CAI system.

고도의 정보화 사회로 대부분 반도체 소자로 이루어진 전기전자기기가 널리 보급되었다. 이러한 전자부품은 저전압에서 구동되고 있어 낮은 전압의 서지라도 오동작을 일으키거나 파괴될 수 있다. 이와 같이 정보통신기기는 물론 가전기기를 둘러싼 환경은 뇌 서지에 매우 취약하여 뇌 보호 대책의 필요성이 높아지고 있다. 뇌 보호 관련 규정이 KS C IEC 62305로 개정되면서 선택사항에 불과했던 내부 뇌보호 시스템인 서지보호기(SPD)가 필수사항이 되었다. 그런데 사용자들이 실제 현장에 설치하였을 때 많은 문제점이 발생되고 있다. SPD가 제대로 작동하는지의 동작상태와 경년에 따른 SPD의 특성 변화를 알 수 없다. 현재 SPD 기술은 단순한 LAMP에 의한 SPD의 소손 여부와 낙뢰 유입 횟수만 알 수 있을 뿐이다. 따라서 서지보호기에 유입되는 서지의 특성을 파악하여 대책 마련을 가능케 하여 규격에 적합한 서지보호 및 적용을 실현하고자 한다.

Pre-existing pattern recognition techniques, in the case of character recognition, have limited on the application field. But CAI character learning system and writer's recognition system are very important parts. The application field of pre-existing system can be expanded in the content that the learning of characters and the recognition of writers in the proposed paper. In order to achieve these goals, the development contents are the following: Firstly, pre-processing method by understanding the image structure is proposed, secondly, recognition of characters are accomplished b the histogram distribution characteristics. Finally, similarity measure functions are defined from standard character pattern for matching of the input character pattern. Also the effectiveness of this system is demonstrated by experimenting the standard primitive image.

The task for chromosome analysis and diagnosis by experienced cytogenetists are being concerned as repetitive, time consuming job and expensive. FOr that reason, chromosome analysis system based on knowledge base for CAI had been established to be able to analyze chromosomes and obtain necessary advises from the knowledge base instead of human experts. That s to say, knowledge base by IF THEN production rule was implemented to a knowledge domain with normal and abnormal chromosomes, and then the inference results by knowledge base could enter the inference data into the database. Experimental data were composed of normal chromosome of 2,736 patients'cases and abnormal chromosomes of 259 patients'cases that have been obtained from GTG-banding metaphase peripheral blood and amniotic fluid samples. The complete system provides variously morphological information by analysis of normal or abnormal chromosomes and it also has the advantage of being able to consult with user on chromosome analysis and diagnosis.

정보화 시대에 도달하면서 대량의 정보 홍수 속에서 교육은 LAN 및 인터넷 환경 보급으로 급속히 발전하고 있다 .그런데 교육 현장에서의 필요한 소프트웨어 개발은 매우 미흡하다. 그나마 많이 진척된 부분은 웹 환경 분야와 CAI 프로그램이라 볼 수 있다. 그러나 웹 환경은 실시간의 교육의 학습환경에 문제점을 가지고 있고, 보안성 측면에서 취약점을 가지고 있고 더욱 어려운 것은 시설준비에 막대한 시설투자가 이루어져야한다는 것이다. 그리고 CAI 프로그램은 상호 작용이 필요한 교육환경에서 단방향이 면서 정해진 틀에서만이 학습이 이루어지는 단조로움으로 다소 현장과는 멀어지는 결과를 가져오고 있다. 이러한 상황에서 실시간의 학습과 외부로부터의 보안성이 있고 상호작용성의 수업환경을 구축하는 프로그램이 제작이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 Winsock의 네트워크 프로그램을 이용하여 클라이언트/서버 환경에서 다중 텍스트전송, 이미지전송, 동영상전송, 기타 응용문서 전송, 데이터 베이스 저장활용 및 학습평가 활용 등을 교사와 학생들간의 다중 실시간 상호작용성의 수업에 활용하는 지원도구를 구현하였다.

The Chinese Bronze Epigraphy is based on the study of the Ancient Bronze, which is excavated from the ground and it is also related to Archeology and Historical Science as well. From the Han dynasty, to the Song dynasty and to the Qing dynasty. Chinese Graphonomy had a splendid development. Including ShuoWenJieZi in the Chinese Graphonomy and the study of Bronze got a shining improvement. ShuoWenJieZi as a key for deciphering ancient Chinese characters. With constant reference to the ShuoWenJieZi, Qing scholars pioneered the earliest large scale interpretations of bronze inscriptions. Several Qing Dynasty ShuoWen scholars such as a WangYun and DuanYuCai have made research in the Bronze Epigraphy. Through this research, we can figure out whether there is any relevance between the traditional study of Epigraphy and the Qing dynasty's.

Spiradiclis hainanensis H.S. Lo and S. purpureocaerulea H.S. Lo (Rubiaceae) are reported as new additions to the flora of Vietnam. In Vietnam, the genus Spiradiclis has been represented by only two species, S. leptobotrya (Drake) Pit. and S. caespitosa Blume. During our field investigations in the Lao Cai and Ninh Binh Provinces of northern Vietnam, we collected two interesting specimens of Spiradiclis that were earlier known only from China and unknown in Vietnam. Here, we report S. hainanensis and S. purpureocaerulea as previously unrecorded species from Vietnam. Detailed descriptions and color photographs are provided along with a taxonomic key for Spiradiclis species in Vietnam.

Two species of Leycesteria, L. gracilis (Kurz) Airy Shaw and L. formosa Wall. (Caprifoliaceae), from the Lao Cai and Yen Bai Provinces are reported here as a new generic record for the flora of Vietnam. During floristic surveys of northern Vietnam, L. gracilis and L. Formosa were encountered. A critical morphological study of all the collected specimens and the type of materials consulting the relevant literature led us to confirm the identity of our collected specimens as L. gracilis and L. formosa. The genus differs from other Vietnamese genera of Caprifoliaceae by the presence of a spike inflorescence or flowers in sessile whorls of 6. Taxonomic notes, description, and photographs are provided, together with short notes on the distribution, ecology and phenology of the two species.
