비구면 설계를 위한 자동설계프로그램 활용 (Application of Automatic Design Program for Aspheric Lens Design)

  • This study is for aspheric lens that is one of a core technology in the optical industry. The feature of a aspheric lens is not to have the spheric aberration. So in optical industry, aspheric lens are essential element to miniaturization, high effectiveness and light weight. In this study we applied a lay back-tracer method using the index of refraction to design aspheric lens. We developed the automatic design program for aspheric lens by user interfacing program VisualLISP in AutoCAD. And we manufactured aspheric lens and measured it.

  • As consumer's desire becomes various, agility of mold manufacturing is most important factor for competence of manufacturer. In common works to use commercial CAM system to generate tool path, some decision making process is required to produce optimal result of CAM systems. We propose tool selection procedures to aid the decision making process. The system provides available tool size for machining of design model part of injection mold die by analyzing sliced CAD model of die cavity and core. Also, the tool size information is used to calculate machining time. The system is developed with commercial CAM using API. This module will be used for optimization of tool selection and planning process.

  • For the most part of machine design, assembly drawing isaffected byits inserted parts. When a part is inserted in assembly, alreadyd stablished parting line is modified for reasonable representation. for example, break or trim fuction between the lines gives more recognizable drqwing. Most of parts is composed of such that point, line, arc, circle and block. If the part is composed of block, it is very difficult to operate because its attribution is unknown before exploding, but, It is very easy to operate except block. In this paper, it is required that basic feature recognition rules are caused by knowledge-based. This system which shows a good modify tool using AutoCAD system and ADS (Autocad Development System).

A Study on the Development of Multi-pilotting-type Progressive Die for U-bending Part Process

  • The multi-piloting type progressive die for U-bending sheet metal production part is a very specific division. This study reveals the sheet metal forming process with multi-forming die by center carrier type feeding system. Through the FEM simulation by DEFORM, it was accepted to u-bending process as the first performance to design of strip process layout. The next process of die development was studied according to sequence of die development, i.e die structure, machining condition for die making, die materials, heat treatment of partially die components, know-how and so on. The feature of this study is the die development of scrapless progressive die of multi-stage through the modeling on the I-DEAS program, components drawing on the Auto-LISP, CAD/CAM application, ordinary machine tool operating and revision by tryout.

  • 선박의 초기 설계 단계에서는 작업의 용이성과 설계자의 관습 둥으로 인해 선박모델은 통상 2차원 모델로서 표현된다. 하지만 제품의 상세 설계 단계로 넘어가면 부품의 가공정보 도출, 부품간의 간섭확인, 제품의 성능해석의 용이성 등의 이유로 인해 제품 정보는 3차원 디지털 모델로서 표현되어야 한다. 그러나 현재까지 이러한 과정은 설계자에 의해 수작업으로 진행되고 있고 이 과정에서 공기의 지연, 설계자에 의한 해석 및 입력 오류 둥 많은 문제점이 야기되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 문제의 해결을 위해, Fuzzy 추론 기법을 이용한 2차원 선박 모델의 3차원 디지털 모델로의 자동 변환 기술을 검토한다.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish an effective featured based inspection planning system for OMM(On-Machine Measurement) process. In this system, an effective inspection process planning is accomplished by determining the number of measuring points, their locations and probing paths using fuzzy logic, Hammersley method and TSP problem. Also, an effective collision-free algorithm Is proposed based on the EZ-map analysis. All the inspection planning processes are performed based on the defined inspection features those are derived from the CAD database. Proposed inspection planning method is simulated for the given sample wrokpieces, and the results are analyzed. The results show that the proposed method can be successfully implemented in real OMM process.

최단거리 최소제곱법을 이용한 측정점군으로부터의 곡면 자동탐색 (Surface Type Detection and Parameter Estimation in Point Cloud by Using Orthogonal Distance Fitting)

  • Surface detection and parameter estimation in point cloud is a relevant subject in CAD/CAM, reverse engineering, computer vision, coordinate metrology and digital factory. In this paper we present a software for a fully automatic surface detection and parameter estimation in unordered, incomplete and error-contaminated point cloud with a large number of data points. The software consists of three algorithmic modules each for object identification, point segmentation, and model fitting, which work interactively. Our newly developed algorithms for orthogonal distance fitting(ODF) play a fundamental role in each of the three modules. The ODF algorithms estimate the model parameters by minimizing the square sum of the shortest distances between the model feature and the measurement points. We demonstrate the performance of the software on a variety of point clouds generated by laser radar, computer tomography, and stripe-projection method.

Shape Recognition and Classification Based on Poisson Equation- Fourier-Mellin Moment Descriptor

  • In this paper, we present a new shape descriptor, which is named Poisson equation-Fourier-Mellin moment Descriptor. We solve the Poisson equation in the shape area, and use the solution to get feature function, which are then integrated using Fourier-Mellin moment to represent the shape. This method develops the Poisson equation-geometric moment Descriptor proposed by Lena Gorelick, and keeps both advantages of Poisson equation-geometric moment and Fourier-Mellin moment. It is proved better than Poisson equation-geometric moment Descriptor in shape recognition and classification experiments.

솔리드 모델을 이용한 판재 부품의 소재 정보 추출 (Material Information Extraction for Plate Parts Using Solid Models)

  • A method for extracting material information on sheet metal parts from an assembly model is proposed. In order to estimate the cost and order the required sheet metals, their outline profiles, thicknesses, quantities, and etc. are needed. The proposed method consists of two steps: First, sheet metal parts are selected through a feature recognition process from an assembly model. Then, some geometric information for the parts is calculated. In the later step a flattening process of bent parts is included. The method is implemented on a commercial CAD/CAM system Unigraphics with API routines and applied to steam turbine generators and large scale boilers.
