CAD/CAE/CAM에서 컴퓨터 그래픽의 응용과 공학해석의 역할

  • CAD/CAM 과정에서 컴퓨터 그래픽은 매우 중요한 역할을 하고 있고, 앞으로 이 분야에서 그래픽 응용과 그 기법의 개발은 무궁할 것으로 예측된다. 또한 전 공정의 총합 CAD 과정에서 이들 컴퓨터 그래픽과 공학해석의 접속은 필수불가결할 것이다. 공학해석 분야에는 현재 유한요소법이 대종을 이루고 있으나 아직도 이러한 해석분야와 그래픽분야를 완전하게 접속시켜 전 공정의 설계를 컴퓨터로 자동화 하는데는 많은 시간이 요할 것 같다. 그러나 컴퓨터 하드웨어 값이 지속적으로 하락하고 저렴한 CAD 관련 소프트웨어가 개발될 것을 예상해 볼 때 설계 및 제작 자동화가 가까운 장래에 대단히 큰 진전을 이룰 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

  • Land suitability method has become a standard part of planning analysis at many scales. GIS computer packages have been developed for this purpose. But those are still expensive and hard to learn, and also have limits to extend the results to a landscape design. For the relatively simple tasks and CAD-related works, an application of CAD software for the suitability analysis is very useful and easy to handle. For the purpose, this study develops a technique for suitability analysis, using vector based microcomputer CAD softwares.

Comparative study of two CAD software programs on consistency between custom abutment design and the output (두 가지 CAD software의 맞춤형 지대주 디자인과 출력물 일치도 비교)

  • Purpose: This study was aimed to compare the consistency between the custom abutment design and the output in two CAD software programs. Materials and Methods: Customized abutments were designed by using 3Shape Dental System CAD software and Delta9 CAD software on a plaster model with implants (CRM STL file). After milling of the designed abutments, the abutments were scanned with a contact method scanner (Test STL file). We overlaid the Test STL file with each CRM STL file by using inspection software, and then compared the milling reproducibility by measuring the output error of the specimens from each CAD software program. Results: The Delta9 showed better milling reproducibility than 3Shape when comparing the milling errors obtained with a full scan of all specimens (P < .05) and also when comparing the axial wall region specifically according to the axial angle. With 0.9 mm marginal radius, the Delta9 showed better consistency between the design and the output than 3Shape (P < .05). While, anti-rotation form had no significant difference in error between the two systems. When cumulative errors were compared, the Delta9 showed better milling reproducibility in almost cases (P < .05). Conclusion: Delta9 showed a significantly smaller error for most of the abutment design options. This means that it is possible to facilitate generation of printouts with reliable reproducibility and high precision with respect to the planned design.

A Framework for the Computer-aided Shop Drawing (철근 배근시공도 설계 자동화 프레임워크)

  • In this paper, we propose a CAD software framework to automatically generate a shop drawing. Shop drawing is to draw the geometric figures representing an arrangement of steel bars for a concrete building on its structural design, based on its construction specifications and the design rules, and its well-formed process lead to be automated. A key point of the design automation is to minimize the user interactions by automatically recognizing the design specifications and to finally generate the shape of the geometric figures. The graphic pipeline of the proposed framework consists of four stages; a specification DB, specification extraction, binding, and rendering. To effectively extract all specifications only for a figure from the DB and bind them to its shape, we use a hierarchical approach; the specifications are classified into three common, structural, and figure classes, and each attribute is extracted in design phases. Based on our framework, we implemented a specialized CAD for shop drawing using AutoCAD and could easily update it according to user's demands.

  • In this time, CAD is most important tool in Product Design Process. Traditional design methods were hardly used in Concurrent Engineering Process. But, CAD tools based on Reverse Engineering method have a lot of serious problem in using designer's works. Especially, in the early stage in design process, adopting CAD tool is impossible, cause of a property of design - intuition. A late studies about CAD system have approaching its quantitative factors in not only software but also hardware. In this paper, I researched about the problems of traditional 3d CAD tools and the new interface approach methods in recent CAD studies. Then, I proposed the guidelines and two alternatives about to developing 3D3T in ubiquitous engineering environment.

유한요소해석과 CAD/CAM

  • CAD/CAM 시스템에서 유한요소해석에 필요한 과정들과 이와 관련된 기술 및 연구 동향을 살펴 보았다. 근래에 이르러 CAD/CAM 시스템의 개념이 초기의 자동제도 시스템에 그치지 않고, 이제는 제품의 설계 개발에서부터 제조에 이르는 일련의 엔지니어링 작업을 통합하는 CAE(Computer Aided Engineering) 시스템의 개념으로 발전되고 있으며, 우리나라에서도 이 분야에 많은 관심과 수요가 크게 늘고 있음은 당연한 추세라 할 수 있다. 그러나 아직까지 이에 필요한 소프트웨어들이 국내에서 개발되지 않아 전량 수입에 의존하고 있는 실정으로, 앞으로 이러한 수입추세는 점점 늘어날 것으로 전망된다. 더욱이 최근 들어 선진국들이 원천 프로그 램(source code)의 이전을 기피함에 따라 관련기술의 국산화가 어렵고, 이들의 응용에 제약이 많아 기술의 예속화가 우려된다 하겠다. 따라서 현재 국내의 산어 규모와 기술 수준으로 미루 어볼 때, 국내에서도 소프트웨어들을 개발해야 할 시점에 와 있다고 하겠다.

  • On-machine measuring system of Numerically Control(NC) machines permit computer control of basic material cutting processes of moulds. A part of mould designed within a CAD/CAM system can be manufactured by generation of tool paths by the measuring systems. Since the three-dimensional geometry by AutoCAD of the part is contained in the data base, the manufacturing specialist combined with the appropriate software simulation, can not only create the commands to drive the virtual measuring and standardization of measuring modules but also can check for mistakes by viewing the computer graphics simulation of the tool cutting sequence.

  • This study used the 3D CAD/CAM system in manufacturing die plates to improve productivity. UG NX 3.0 was used as 3D CAD/CAM software, with the created NC code transmitted to the CNC Milling and Wire Cut Electric Discharge machine. The die plate was then automatically machined.

  • 본 연구는 CAD데이터로 부터 부품의 형상을 인식하여 CAD시스템과 인터페이스된 자동공정설계시스템을 지식공학적 접근방법을 도입하여 개발하고자 함이 연구의 목적이다. 연구의 대상은 NC선반가공용 회전형상부품을 대상으로 하며, CAD시스템은 AutoCAD를, 소프트웨어개발에 사용된 프로그래밍언어는 Turbo-C(Version 2.0)를, 전문가시스템셀(Expert System Shell)은 CLIPS를 이용하여 개인용컴퓨터(PC)를 사용하여 개발한다. 본 연구의 내용은 NC선반가공용 회전형상부품을 대상으로 CAD/CAPP 데이터베이스 생성과 부품형상인식, 공정 및 작업의 선정, 가공순서의 결정에 대한 알고리즘을 개발하고, 공학적 규칙 및 전문가의 경험적 지식을 획득하여 지식베이스를 구축하며, 이 지식베이스를 사용한 공정설계 전문가시스템의 개발에 관한 연구의 중간결과이다.

  • Computer Aided Process Planning (CAPP) plays a key role by linking CAD and CAM. Given CAD data of a part, CAPP has to recognize manufacturing features of the part. Despite the long history of research on feature recognition, its research results have rarely been transferred into industry. One of the reasons lies in the separation of feature recognition and process planning. This paper proposes to integrate the two activities through AI techniques, and presents efforts for manufacturable feature recognition, setup minimization, feature dependency construction, and generation of an optimal machining sequence.
