Precipitation of $CaCO_3$ Crystals from Variously Supersaturated Solutions (다양한 과포화 조건하에서의 탄산염광물의 합성에 대한 연구)

  • Crystallization of CaC $O_3$ from the solutions of various degrees of supersaturation was carried out by a spontaneous precipitation method. The solution was kept at $25^{\circ}C$ and pH 6.9∼8.8. The solution compositions were varied in two ways: (1) The total carbonate, [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$, to total calcium. [Ca]$_{Τ}$, ratios vary as ; [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$ >1. [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$=1, and [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$<1. (2) The total calcium concentration, [Ca]$_{Τ}$, held at 0.02 mo1/d $m^3$, 0.2 mo1/d $m^3$, and 0.4 mo1/d $m^3$. We found that the CaC $O_3$ phase crystallized from the solutions of [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$ $\geq$ 1 was mostly calcite with less than 1% of vaterite, while the CaC $O_3$ crystals precipitated from low carbonate concentration toward calcium concentration, [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$ < 1, were dominated by vaterite crystals. It appears that the polymorph of CaC $O_3$ precipitate was mainly controlled not by the calcium concentration but by the carbonate concentration during the spontaneous precipitation. Also, we found that the surface roughness of vaterite increased with decreasing carbonate concentration from 0.8 or 0.5 of [C $O_3$]$_{Τ}$/[Ca]$_{Τ}$ ratios and the surface area of vaterite increased from 5.64∼7.34 $\mu\textrm{m}$ to 8.39∼10.3 $\mu\textrm{m}$.

  • PED용 형광체로 사용되는 ZnCa$_2$O$_4$를 Clycine Nitrate Process로 합성하여 고상 반응법으로 합성한 ZnCa$_2$O$_4$ 분말과 비교 분석하였다. 또한 Glycine Nitrate Process로 제조시 Mn의 doping 농도를 변화시키면서 각각의 조성비에 따른 발광특성을 알아보았다. TGA 측정 결과 GNP법으로 합성된 ZnCa$_2$O$_4$ 의 경우 약 40$0^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 무게감량의 변화가 없었으며, XRD 상분석 결과 연소반응 후 이미 상형성이 이루어짐을 알 수 있었다. PL측정을 결과 GNP(GIycine Nitrate Process)로 제조된 ZnCa$_2$O$_4$분말의 발광효율이 고상 반응법으로 제조된 분말보다 우수하였으며, 균일하고 비표면적이 큰 단일상임이 관찰되었고, 더 작은 에너지와 시간으로 제조할 수 있는 장점이 있었다

Development and Luminescent Characteristics of $CaSiN_2$ Based Phosphors ($CaSiN_2$를 모체로 하는 형광체의 개발 및 발광 특성)

  • The $CaSiN_2:Eu$ and $CaSiN_2:Tb$ phosphors were synthesized and analyzed to develop new nitride compound phosphors. $Ca_3N_2$, $Si_3N_4$ and $EuF_3$(or $TbF_3$) powders were mixed, cold-pressed, and sintered to synthesize $CaSiN_2:Eu$ and $CaSiN_2:Tb$ phosphors. Photoluminescence(PL) and electroluminescence(EL) characteristics of the synthesized phosphors were measured and found to be similar to general emission spectra of 뗘 and Tb ion, respecticely. Threshold voltage($V_{th)$) and luminance of the $CaSiN_2:Eu$ TFEL device fabricated by sputtering were 90 V and 1.62 $cd/m^2$ at 280 V, respectively. The charge-voltage(Q-V) and transferred charge-phosphor field($Q_t-F_p$) characteristics of the TFEL devices were also measured.

  • 본 연구에서는 유해 중금속을 다량 함유하고 있는 산업폐기물의 고화 처리에 사용되는 칼슘설포알루미네이트(4CaO $3Al_2O_3\;SO_4$ 이후부터 CSA로 기입)의 제조를 위해 철강부산물인 압연 슬러지를 활용하여 그 특성에 대해 조사하였다. 본 연구에서는 철강 부산물인 압연슬러지 외에 석회석 미분물, 인산부산 석고를 혼합하여 칼슘알루미네이트 상을 합성하였다. 합성 결과 소성온도 $1250^{\circ}C$에서부터 CSA가 합성되었고, 이와 함께 칼슘실리케이트$(2CaO\;SiO_2)$와 칼슘알루미노페라이트($4CaO\;Al_2O_3\;Fe_2O_3$)도 함께 합성되었다. CSA 합성에 미치는 중금속 영향을 관찰한 결과 원료의 중금속이 CSA 합성 온도를 낮추는 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. CSA를 이용한 철강산업 폐기물의 중금속 고용 처리 연구에서도 본 실험에서 합성된 CSA가 폐기물의 중금속 고화 처리에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

Synthesis of nano-crystalline slaked lime using design of experiment (실험계획법을 이용한 나노 결정 소석회 합성)

  • Nano-crystalline slaked lime was synthesized using design of experiment. In order to synthesize slaked lime, calcium chloride $(CaCl_2)$ and urea were used as starting materials. Calcium chloride solution and urea solution were mixed and heated in vessel that calcium carbonate was precipitated during heating. Precipitates were filtered, washed several times using D.I.water and ethanol and finally dried in oven. Slaked lime $(Ca(OH)_2)$ has been fabricated by the hydration of calcined $CaCO_3$. Design of experiment (Taguchi method) was used to optimize parameter, to minimize noise factors of experiment and to statistically analyze the results. Slaked lime having about 50 nm in optimized crystallite size could be obtained by calcination of $CaCO_3$ at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 0.5 h and hydration with D.I water containing ethanol and oxalic acid.

Hyaluronic Acid Synthesis Effect of Prunus yedoensis Bark Ethyl Acetate Fraction (왕벚나무 수피 에틸아세테이트 분획물의 히알루론산 합성효과)

  • The skin barrier plays an important role in maintaining healthy skin by preventing external irritation and water loss in the body. In the skin, hyaluronic acid (HA) is synthesized by the enzyme hyaluronic acid synthase (HAS), which functions as a natural moisturizing factor and is involved in maintaining water retention and barrier function. Therefore, in this study, the effect of the Prunus yedoensis bark ethyl acetate fraction (PYBEAF) on HA synthesis in HaCaT cells was confirmed. Cytotoxicity evaluation was performed through MTT assay, and the amount of HA synthesis in HaCaT cells was confirmed through ELISA through PYBEAF treatment. The levels of HAS-2, HAS-3 mRNA expression were analyzed using qRT-PCR, and the protein expression level and signaling pathway were confirmed through western blotting. Consequently, PYBEAF was involved in the MAPK and CREB signaling pathways, increasing the amount of HA production through HAS-2 synthesis. This suggests that PYBEAF is effective in improving barrier function by increasing HA synthesis, which plays an important role in moisturizing and maintaining skin moisture.

Synthesis of CaWO4 by a Microemulsion Method (마이크로 에멀젼 방법을 이용한 CaWO4의 합성)

  • CaWO4 crystals were synthesized by a microemulsion method. Various sizes and shapes of CaWO4 were obtained by changing the molar ratio (w) of H2O to CTAB. At w=5 and 10, oval CaWO4 crystals with length of 100 nm and 500 nm were obtained, respectively. At w=20, rod-like CaWO4 crystal with length of 1 μm was obtained. The sphere CaWO4 crystal with length of about 2~3 μm was obtained at w=30. The CaWO4 crystal morphology changes from oval to sphere via a rod by aggregation with increasing the molar ratio of H2O to CTAB.

  • LHRH분비와 환denylate cyclase활성에 미치는 PGE2, Opioid, 그리고 Ca2+의 영향을 흰쥐의 시상하부 조직을 사용하여 조사하였다. K+(30mM)에 의한 LHR광분비촉진은 Ca2+의존적인데 반하여, PGE2에 의해 촉진되는 LHR노 분비는 세포의 Ca2+농도에 의존하지 않았다. PGE2에 의한 LHR기 분비와 CAMP합성은 PGE2농도(1$\times$10-7M-1$\times$10-4M)에 비례하여 촉진되었으며, $\beta$-endorphin (1x10-3M)은 PGEa에 의한 LHRH 분비촉진과 CAMP합성을 공히 억제하였다. 오피오이드 수용체의 길항제인 Naloxone(Ix10-"M)은 $\beta$-endorphin에 의한 저해효과를 극복시켜서, LHR광 분비와 CAMP합성은 각각 회복되었으나, CAMP합성은 부분적인 회복을 보인 반면에, LHRH분비는 PGE2에 의한 촉진효과보다도 더 활성화되었다. 결론적으로 LHRH분비에 미치는 오퍼오이드의 억제작용은 PGE2-cAMP의 세포내 전달과정을 저해함으로써 유발되는것으로 추정 된다.정 된다.

Effects of mineralizer and concentration on the morphology of the $CaTiO_3$ powders prepared by hydrothermal method (수열법에 의한 $CaTiO_3$분말 합성 시 광화제와 농도가 입자형상에 미치는 영향)

  • The $CaTio_3$powder with perovskite structure was synthesized by mixing anatase $TiO_2$and $Ca(OH)_2$powders as starting materials, and KOH or NaOH as mineralizer, followed by hydrothermal method. The change of crystal structure, particle shape and size of the synthesized $CaTiO_3$powder was investigated with kind and concentration of mineralizer. It was found that the spherical particles of 0.7 $\mu$m were obtained when using 1N KOH and the hexahedrons particles of 3$\mu$m were obtained for the case of using 10 N KOH. With increasing KOH concentration, the particle shape was changed from sphere to hexahedrons and its size also increased. When using 1 N NaOH, the powder was consisted of 0.5~1 $\mu$m particle in size, whereas hexahedrons of 1~4 $\mu$m and whiskers more than 10$\mu$m in size was obtained for the 10 N NaOH solution. With increasing NaOH concentration, the particle shape was varied from hexahedrons to whiskers, showing the similar result with the KOH case. It was confirmed from EDS analysis that Na element, which was detected in hexahedrones was not contained in the whiskers.

  • The aim of this study is to investigate the behaviors of synthesis of Calcium Chloroaluminte($11CaO{\cdot}7Al_2O_3{\cdot}CaCl_2$) under the melting temperature of municipal solid waste incineration fly ash(MSWI fly ash); $900^{\circ}C-1300^{\circ}C$ of sintering temperature. A sludge generated from a water purification plant (SW) was also used to fill up $Al_2O_3$ source, which might be deficient in MSWI fly ash. MF and SW were mixed at mixing ratio of 10 to 7, which is the mole ratio of CaO to $Al_2O_3$ of calcium Chloroaluminte. Mixed samples were sintered in the opened sintering reactor and the closed sintering reactor, respectively. The results showed that calcium chloroaluminte was formed at $1,000^{\circ}C$ in both reactors, but the temperature of decomposition of calcium chloroaluminte depended upon sintering reactor type; an opened sintering reactor and a closed sintering reactor, owing to the vaporization velocity of Cl.
