Salting-out technique was adopted to crystallize dye crystals from dye solution. Solubility of dye solution and crystallization kinetics of Reactive Red 218 was investigated. Solubility of dye solution is decreased by higher KCl concentration. The empirical expressions of salting-out crystallization kinetics for Reactive Red 218 in continuous MSMPR crystallizer was $G=6.864{\times}10^{-5}{\Delta}C^{1.207}$ and $B^0=4.8{\times}10^{22}{\Delta}C[1.1{\times}10^{-13}+{({\Delta}C)}^{0.7}{M_T}^2]$.
The fixing behaviors of anthraquinone disperse dyes containing dimethylamino substituent, such as C. I. Disperse Violet 26(D.V.26) and C. I. Disperse Blue 14(D.V.14), or containing diamino substituent, such as C. I. Disperse Blue 73(D.B.73), and monochlorotriazinyl azo reactive dyes, such as C. I. Reactive Orange 13(R.O.13), C. I. Reactive Red 3(R.R.3). C. I. Reactive Yellow 2(R.Y.2) on polyester/cotton blend(P/C) fabrics were examined for the one-step printing of P/C fabrics. The high temperature steaming of $175^{\circ}C$ is the most satisfactory fixing method for P/C one-step printing with above disperse and reactive dyes among the four different fixing methods: $175^{\circ}C$ steaming, $102^{\circ}C$ steaming${\rightarrow}175^{\circ}C$ steaming, $190^{\circ}C$ thermosol, $102^{\circ}C$ steaming${\rightarrow}190^{\circ}C$ thermosol. $190^{\circ}C$ thermosol is unfit to fix R.R.3 and R.Y.2 whose heat stability is poor. It was found that D.V.26 and D.B.14 containing dimethylamino substituent are unstable for heat and alkali, but D.B.73 is stable for them to print P/C blend fabrics with R.O.13 which is also stable for heat. Therefore we found that D.B.73, R.O.13 and a pair of D.B.73 and R.O.13 were very suitable for one-step printing of P/C blend fabrics.
The effects of heat shock, or all-trans retinoic acid, on the expression of the C-reactive protein mRNA in the HT-29 human colon carcinoma cells, as well as the functional role of the C-reactive protein as a molecular chaperone, were studied. The expression level of the C-reactive protein mRNA in the HT-29 cells was increased time-dependently when exposed to heat-shock, and dose-dependently when treated with all-trans retinoic acid. The activities of transglutaminase C and K in the HT-29 cells were significantly increased when treated with all-trans retinoic acid. The C-reactive protein prevented thermal aggregation of the citrate synthase and stabilized the target enzyme, citrate synthase. The C-reactive protein promoted functional refolding of the urea-denatured citrate synthase up to 40-70%. These results suggest that the C-reactive protein, which is induced in human colon carcinoma cells, when heated or treated with all-trans retinoic acid has in a part functional activity of the molecular chaperone.

Following the prior studs regarding that 1.0g of cotton fabric cound be dyed uniformly with a reactive dye in the solvent mixture of 2㎖ of water and 23㎖ of dichloromethane, silk fabric was dyed with C. I. Reactive Blue 203 in the water/dichloromethane two-phase immiscible solvent media. In order to minimize dye loss due to its hydrolysis, the reactive dyeing was carried out in dichloromethane containing a small amount of water. With only 3㎖ of water in 22㎖ of dichloromethane, 1.0g of silk fabric could be dyed perfectly. The uptake ratio was increased greatly, compared with that of normal reactive dyeing in a water medium. It would seem that the one of hydrophobic solvents, dichloromethane, can assist the even dyeing as it disperses a small amount of dye-dissolved water phase and conveys this water phase to the fabric entirely and uniformly.

Nonlinear feedback control scheme for reactive distillation column has been proposed. The proposed control scheme is derived in the framework of Nonlinear Internal Model Control. The product compositions and liquid and vapor flow rates in sections of the reactive distillation column are estimated from selected tray temperature measurements by an observer. The control scheme is applied to example reactive distillation column in which two products are produced in a single column and the reversible reaction A + B = C + D occurs. The relative volatilities are favorable for reactive distillation so that the reactants are intermediated boilers between the light product C and the heavy product D. Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between periodontal disease, number of remaining teeth with high-sensitivity C-Reactive protein in Korean adults aged 40 and older. Methods: The study used the Sixth Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VI-3), 2015. The study sample consisted of 3,883 aged 40 years or older who had completed the health survey and the health examination. Logistic regression analyses were performed to examine the odds ratios of high-sensitivity C-Reactive protein by periodontal disease and number of remaining teeth, adjusting for demographic characteristics, chronic diseases and oral health behavior-related variables. Results: When the demographic and chronic diseases were adjusted, the risk of high-sensitivity C-Reactive protein (hs-CRP) average 1.23 mg/L or higher was 1.36 times higher in patients with periodontal disease between the ages of 40 and 49, but it was not significant (OR=1.36; 95% CI=0.82-2.23). In addition, in the group of 0~23 remaining teeth aged 40~49 years, the risk of higher than the average 1.23 mg/L of high-sensitivity C-Reactive protein was 2.03 times higher (OR=2.03; 95% CI=1.10-3.74), and 1.49 times higher in 60~69 years (OR=1.07; 95% CI=1.04-2.76). Conclusions: This study found that periodontal disease and tooth loss in Korean adults aged 40 and older was significantly associated with high-sensitivity C-reactive protein.

In order to decolorize the reactive dye wastewater, we investigated the dye-adsorption ability of chitin, which was natural polymer obtained from shrimp shell. Chitin particle(less than 250 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$n) was prepared from shrimp shells in the processes of decalcification in aqueous hydrochloric acid solution and deproteination in aqueous sodium hydroxide solution. The particle size of chitin was controlled to less than 250 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$. Three tripes of the reactive dyes-C.I. Reactive Red 120, C.I. Reactive red 241 and C.I. Reactive Black 5-were used. Dye adsorption ability of chitin was investigated by dipping the particle in the dyebaths of concentration of 0.0l%, 0.03% and 0.05% for various periods of time(1,3,5, 10,20,40,80,160minutes). The influence of addition of salt(Na$_2$SO$_4$) and alkali to the dyebaths on dye-absorption was also investigated. We obtained the following results fur the dye-absolution ability of chitin in the dyebaths of three types of reactive dyes. 1) The amount of dye uptake by chitin was increased by addition of salt to the dyebaths. 2) As the concentration of alkali became higher than 3g/I, the amount of dye uptake by chitin was increased. Chitin showed good dye-adsorption ability, when the alkali concentration was high. 3) Chitin showed equal dye uptake in the three types of dyebaths when the dye concentration was 0.0l%. Over 90% of dyestuffs was adsorbed from the dyebaths in ten minutes. When the dye concentration was higher, better adsorption ability was showed in a dye bath of Reactive black 5 than in the others. When the dye concentration was 0.03%, 90% of Reactive red 120 and Reactive red 241 was adsorbed in 40 minutes and the same of Reactive black 5 in 10 minutes. When the dye concentration was 0.05%, 9()% of Reactive red 120 was adsorbed in 80 minutes, and Reactive black 5 in to minutes.

Many reactive dyes have been used in occupational settings without knowing their toxicity and health hazard information. To investigate the toxicity of reactive dye, C.I.No. Reactive Red 195 was exposed to male and female Sprague Dawley rats by inhalation for 28 days. The rats were exposed C.I.No. Reactive Red 195 for 6 hrs per day and 5days per week. The concentrations for the inhalation exposure were 0, 10, 40 and $160mg/m^3$. After 4 weeks of exposure, rats were examined for exposure related changes through pathology, blood biochemistry and hematology. There were no dose related changes including clinical signs, body weight and relative organ weight changes, hematological and biochemical and histopathological findings. The results indicate that no observed adverse effect level (NOAEL) of 28 days inhalatrion toxicity test for C.I.No. Reactive Red 195 was $160mg/m^3$.
In resist-discharge printing of cotton fabrics with reactive/reactive dyes the effects of both resist agents, benzaldehyde sodium bisulfite(BASB) and glyoxal sodium bisulfite (GSB), and Rongalite on the resist-discharge behaviors of C.I. Reactive Black 5(B1-5), which is disazo type and has two vinylsulfone groups, were investigated. It was confirmed that BASB and GSB were effective resist agents, and about 4% of BASB or about 6% of GSB was proper to obtain successful white or colored resist-discharge results. It was thought that the good resist-dischargeability of BASB was due to the hydrophobicity of bezene in BASB, and also that of GSB resulted from the structural effects caused by two hydroxy groups in GSB and the ease of washing of unactivated reactive dye. Only 5% Rongalite without any resist agents showed good resist-discharge result, but 1~3% Rongalite with 4% BASB brought about the stain of cotton fabric by reddish monoazo products produced by insufficient cleavage of two azo groups in Bl-5.
