몇가지 페닐 알카놀의 Sodium Dodeylsulfate 수용액 미셀내에서의 가용화 위치 (The Solubilization Site of Some Phenyl Alkanols in Aqueous Sodium Dodecylsulfate Micelle)

  • Sodium dodecylsulfate(SDS) 0.2M수용액 미셀내에 몇 가지 페닐 알카놀$[C_6H_5(CH_2)_nOH;$ 페놀(n=1), 벤질 알코올(n=1), 펜에틸 알코올(n=2), 3-페닐-1-프로판올(n=3)]이 가용화(solubilization)될 때 이들의 가용화 위치를 이차원 이핵 상관 NMR분광법(Two dimensional heteronuclear correlation spectroscopy (2D C-H COSY)으로 조사하였다. 실험 결과 $^1H$-NMR 신호의 적분에 의하여 조사한 이전의 연구결과보다 훨씬 정량적이며 정확한 가용화 위치를 알 수 있었다. 이들이 SDS 미셀 중심의 중간부 메틸렌기에 침투하는 깊이는 ${\alpha}$메틸렌기로부터 6.5~7.0 단위까지 임을 알았다.

Efficient Expression of hG-CSF cDNA from an IRES-Dependent Bicistronic Vector Targeted to Mammary Gland of Transgenic Mice

  • Previously, we observed high level expression of goat β-casein/genomic hGH fusion gene in mammary gland of transgenic mice. To develop an expression vector to make a human granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (hG-CSF) protein efficiently produced in milk of transgenic animals, we designed a new bicistronic vector using the goat β-casein/genomic hGH fusion gene as regulation sequences for expression and internal ribosome entry site (IRES) as a mediator for second gene expression. This vector was constructed by insertion of encephalomyocarditis virus (EMCV) IRES-dependent second gene region coupled with hG-CSF cDNA into 3' untranslated region of an intact hGH gene. By microinjcetion, four transgenic mice were generated and three of them transmitted the bicistronic vector to their progeny. (omitted)

Isolation, Physicochemical Properties and Toxicities of Territrem A' and B'

  • We have isolated two new metabolites of territrem, designated as territrem $A'\;(TRA';\;C_{28}H_{30}O_{10})$ and $B'\;(TRB';\; C_{29}H_{34}O_{10})$ from chloroform extract of rice culture of Aspergillus terreus 23-1, using the same isolation procedure as that for territrem A, B and C(TRA, TRB, TRC). The present isolation procedure gave about 5 mg of TRA' and 10 mg of TRB' from 4 kg of rice culture per batch. Analysis of the high resolution mass spectrum showed that the molecular composition of TRA' and TRB' are $C_{28}H_{30}O_{10}$ and $C_{29}H_{34}O_{10}$ respectively, Some results of physicochemical properties were presented in this paper. Single crystal X-ray diffractometry of TRB' showed that the three dimensional structure of TRB' has not changed significantly from that of $TRB\;(C_{29}H_{34}O_9)$, except for the insertion of one oxygen atom into TRB to make additional pyran in the E-ring. It is also suggested that the aromatic moiety of TRA' is similar to that of $TRA\;(C_{28}H_{30}O_9)$ and the rest non-aromatic portions resemble to those of TRB'. The tremorgenic activity, lethality and inhibitory effect on acetylcholine esterase of TRA' and TRB' are greatly reduced comparing to that of TRA and TRB.

전자기기의 전원 노이즈 저감을 위한 EMI 필터 경험적 설계에 관한 연구 (A study on the Empirical Design of EMI Filters for Power Supply Noise Reduction in Electronic Devices)

  • 본 논문은 전자기기에 사용되는 전원의 노이즈 저감을 위한 전도성(Conducted) EMI 필터의 경험적 설계를 통하여 제안하였다. 제안된 구조는 A형, B형, C형, D형의 구조를 설계하였으며, 다양한 X-커패스터와, Y-커패스터, Air-인덕터로 LC 네트워크 사용으로 전도성 노이즈 저감을 확인하였다. L1, L2는 10[μH]를 사용하였으며, C1, C2는 4.7[nF]를 사용하였다. 공통모드(Common Mode)용 L3는 13[μH]를 사용하였으며, C5, C6, C7은 10[nF]을 사용하여 설계하였다. 설계된 EMI 필터의 측정된 삽입손실 값은 3.2MHz에서 -74.4[dB], 4MHz에서 -75.4[dB], 13.56MHz에서 -75.3[dB]로 나타났다. 따라서 제안한 EMI 필터는 다양한 전자기기에 사용되는 전원 노이즈 저감에 이용될 것이다.

Effect of abutment angulation in the retention and durability of three overdenture attachment systems: An in vitro study

  • This in vitro study investigated and compared the durability and retention of three types of attachments. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Three commercially available attachments were investigated: $Clix^{(R)}$, Dalbo-$Plus^{(R)}$ and $Locator^{(R)}$. In total, 72 samples of these attachments were placed in the acrylic resin forms and subjected to mechanical testing (5400 cycles of insertion and removal) over the respective ball or Locator abutments immersed in artificial saliva at pH 7 and $37^{\circ}C$. The abutments were placed at angulations of $0^{\circ}$, $10^{\circ}$ and $20^{\circ}$. The retention force was recorded at the beginning and after 540, 1080, 2160, 3240, 4320 and 5400 insertion-removal cycles. RESULTS. The results revealed that there were significant differences in the average values of the insertion/removal force due to angulation ($F_{(2.48)}=343619$, P<.05) and the type of attachment ($F_{(7.48)}=23.220$, P<.05). CONCLUSION. Greater angulation of the abutments was found to influence the retention capacity of the attachments, and the fatigue test simulating 5 years of denture insertion and removal did not produce wear in the metal abutments.

수열법에 의한 Li4Ti5O12 Nanofibers 합성 및 전기화학적 특성에 관한 연구 (Synthesis and Electrochemical Characteristics of Li4Ti5O12 Nanofibers by Hydrothermal Method)

  • In this paper the effect of the structure, particle size, morphology of nanofibers and nanoparticles for the electrochemical characteristics of $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ was investigated. The $H_2Ti_2O_5{\cdot}H_2O$ synthesized in hydrothermal treatment from a NaOH treatment on $TiO_2$ by ion exchange processing with HCl solutions. After the $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ nanofibers synthesized in hydrothermal treatment of $H_2Ti_2O_5{\cdot}H_2O$ and $LiOH{\cdot}H_2O$. The hydrogen titanate precursor prepared by ion exchange processing with 0.1~0.3M HCl solutions and the final products calcined at $350^{\circ}C{\sim}400^{\circ}C$. The $Li_4Ti_5O_{12}$ nanofibers showed well reversibility during the insertion and extraction of Li, good cycle performance, high capacity and low electrochemical reaction resistance than nanoparticles. also c-rate exhibited a discharge capacity of 172 mAh/g at 0.2C and 115mAh/g at 5C, which is the 77%, 67% of that obtained in the process charged, discharged at 0.2C.

  • [ $0.75delta\%$ ]의 평판광회로(PLC;Planar Lightwave Circuit)소자의 설계 및 제작기술을 가지고 저손실과 높은 누화율을 가진 파장 다중화 및 역다중화 소자를 개발하였다. C-band AWG(Arrayed Waveguide Grating)에서의 삽입손실은 2.503이하, 누화율은 35dB이상, 균일도는 1dB이하이며 L-band에서는 Vernier 디자인을 적용하여 ITU-T의 파장 정확도가 0.04nm이하가 되도록 제작하였다.

Salmonella typhimurium cadBA 오페론의 발현에 관여하는 돌연변이체의 선별 및 그 특성 (Characterization of cadC and cadR Mutants in Mediating the Expression of the Salmonella typhimurium cadBA Operon)

  • S. typhimurium cadBA operon의 발현에는 산성 pH와 고농도의 lysine 등 적어도 두 가지의 세포외부 신호가 요구된다. pH와 lysine신호에 따른 cadBA 발현 조절 기작을 이해하기 위하여, Tn10삽입, 자발적 돌연변이, EMS돌연변이 등을 수행하여 JF2238과 cadA-lacZ의 발현특성에 차이를 보이는 돌연변이체를 선별하였다. cadBA의 양성적 조절자의 유전자인 cadC내의 돌연변이 중 cadC4 돌연변이는 pH-비의존성, lysine-의존성 발현을, cadC6 돌연변이는 pH-비의존성, lysine-비의존성 cadA-lacZ 발현을 나타내었다. 산성 pH, lysine이 없는 조건에서 cadA-lacZ 발현을 유도하는 cadR::Tn10과 cadR3 돌연변이체를 분리하여 cadR이 lysine이 없는 조건에서 cadBA 발현을 음성적으로 조절하는 음성적 조절자의 유전자임을 알 수 있었다. cadR 돌연변이체는 lysine의 독성 유사체인 thiosine에 대해 내성($Ts^{r}$)을 나타냈으며, E. coli의 lysP 클론을 갖고 있는 pLYSP에 의해 돌연변이 형질이 보상되었다. 또한 lysine decarboxylase (CadA)의 반응산물인 cadaverine은 cadC+ 균주에서 cadA-lacZ 발현에 억제효과를 나타냈으나, cadC 돌연변이에는 억제효과가 나타나지 않았다.

Theoretical Study on the Reaction Mechanism of Azacyclopropenylidene with Epoxypropane: An Insertion Process

  • The reaction mechanism between azacyclopropenylidene and epoxypropane has been systematically investigated employing the second-order M${\o}$ller-Plesset perturbation theory (MP2) method to better understand the reactivity of azacyclopropenylidene with four-membered ring compound epoxypropane. Geometry optimization, vibrational analysis, and energy property for the involved stationary points on the potential energy surface have been calculated. It was found that for the first step of this reaction, azacyclopropenylidene can insert into epoxypropane at its C-O or C-C bond to form spiro intermediate IM. It is easier for the azacyclopropenylidene to insert into the C-O bond than the C-C bond. Through the ring-opened step at the C-C bond of azacyclopropenylidene fragment, IM can transfer to product P1, which is named as pathway (1). On the other hand, through the H-transferred step and subsequent ring-opened step at the C-N bond of azacyclopropenylidene fragment, IM can convert to product P2, which is named as pathway (2). From the thermodynamics viewpoint, the P2 characterized by an allene is the dominating product. From the kinetic viewpoint, the pathway (1) of formation to P1 is primary.
