  • The beginning of Web Services was aware of efficient technology for application integration, thus it was used to integrating the distributed enterprise applications or the applications between business partners. But, recently the usage of Web Services is spreaded out not only internet applications but also wireless network applications. The main reasons are that Web Services is the international standard of W3C, and Web Services is based on XML that has the neutralized characteristics.   • MDPDPTW (Multi-Depot Pickup and Delivery Problem with Time Windows) is a typical model among the optimization models based on the pickup and delivery flow in supply chains. It is based on multi-vehicles in multi-depots and does not consider moving vehicles near pickup and delivery locations. In ubiquitous environments, it is possible to obtain information on moving vehicles and their baggage. Providing the proper context from the perspective of moving vehicles and their baggage allows for more effective vehicle routings. This study proposes Integer Programming-based MDPDPTW including the information on moving vehicles and their baggage in a ubiquitous environment: u-MDPDPTW, and shows the viability and effectiveness of u-MDPDPTW through comparative experiments of MDPDPTW and u-MDPDPTW.

Multi-Criteria Group Decision Making under Imprecise Preference Judgments: Using Fuzzy Logic with Linguistic Quantifier

  • The increasing complexity of the socio-economic environments makes it less and less possible for single decision-maker to consider all relevant aspects of problem. Therefore are, many organizations employ groups in decision making. In this paper, we present a multiperson decision making method using fuzzy logic with linguistic quantifier when each of group members specifies imprecise judgments possibly both on performance evaluations of alternatives with respect to the multiperson criteria and on the criteria. Inexact or vague preferences have appeared in the decision making literatures with a view to relaxing the burdens of preference specifications imposed to the decision-makers and thus taking into account the vagueness of human judgments. Allowing for the types of imprecise judgments in the model, however, makes more difficult a clear selection of alternative(s) that a group wants to make. So, further interactions with the decision-makers may proceed to the extent to compensate for the initial comforts of preference specifications. These interaction may not however guarantee the selection of the best alternative to implement. To circumvent this deadlock situation, we present a procedure for obtaining a satisfying solution by the use of linguistic quantifier guided aggregation which implies fuzzy majority. This is an approach to combine a prescriptive decision method via a mathematical programming and a well-established approximate solution method to aggregate multiple objects.

The effects of corporate governance on the borrowing costs (기업 지배구조가 차입비용에 미치는 영향)

  • This paper investigates the impact of corporate governance structure on the firm's debt costs under different governance environments. We find that after the 2008 banking crisis, family firms with controlling shareholders benefit from lower debt cost through the strong control rights of dominating large shareholders, compared with the firms with diversified minority-shareholders. Foreign investors are related statistically to the higher cost of debt. Before the 2008 banking crisis, cash flows and growth potentials are positively associated with the firm's cost of debt.

  • Web based lecture & learning system has changed the conventional learner-oriented educational environment by adding mutual interactions. From the learner competency-based education. the necessity of the learner-oriented education and the mutual cooperation among the learners has been increased. A project-based education system will achieve a progressive development in understanding and the competency for the job to be performed by the mutual interactions between the learners and between the learners and the lecturer. This paper presents the project-based learning system in order to facilitate and achieve the goals of the industrial business processing system implementations in the ongoing popular Internet environments. In the proposed project-based system, the lecturer presents a problem to be solved and leads the education as a supervisor The learner can maximize the efficiency for study by taking advantage of the learner-oriented comparison study and the patterning.

  • As the innovative technologies related to ubiquitous computing are being rapidly developed in recent IT trend, the concern for IT dysfunction(e.g., personal information abuse, information risk, threat, vulnerability, etc.) are also increasing. In our study, we suggested how to design and implement to multiple schemes for strong authentication mechanism in real system environments. We introduce the systematic and secure authentication technologies that resolve the threats incurring from the abuse and illegal duplication of financial transaction card in the public and financial institutions. The multiple schemes for strong authentication mechanism applied to java technology, so various application programs can be embedded, Independent of different platforms, to the smartcard by applying the consolidated authentication technologies based on encryption and biometrics(e.g., finger print identification). We also introduce the appropriate guidelines which can be easily implemented by the system developer and utilized from the software engineering standpoint of view. Further, we proposed ways to utilize java card based biometrics by developing and applying the 'smartcard class library' in order for the developer and engineers involved in real system environment(Secure entrance system) to easily understand the program. Lastly, we briefly introduced the potential for its future business application.

A Study on the Volatility Analysis of Economic Indicators Using Extended Bayesian Information Criteria (확장된 베이지안 정보기준을 이용한 경기지표의 변동성 분석 연구)

  • The global economy, including Korea, has continuously searched for various market-friendly policies and new economic systems in pursuit of the forth industrial revolution. As a result, economic markets have grown, and factors affecting markets have diversified. Therefore, as for many company's decision makers, it has become an important issue to analyze and forecast markets accurately and effectively for rapid and appropriate decision making. In this study, we aim to improve the accuracy and validity of forecast models by applying extended information criteria in existing restricted information criteria to determine optimized modeling for the accurate analysis and prediction of complex market environments. In order to verify the practical use of the extended information criteria adopted in this study, we compare this study employing KOSPI data with previous studies. Experimental results show that applying extended information criteria is more accurate than using the existing information criteria.

  • Although design industry belongs to one of the creative industries and contributes significantly to urban cultural economy based on its cluster formation, researches on design industry are rarely made explicit from the perspective of creative industry cluster. After reviewing the life cycle of design industry clusters in Euljiro and Hongdae Area in Seoul, this study compares these two clusters with respect of diverse dimensions of creative industry cluster such as agglomeration economy, spin-off activities and institutional environments. Research methodology includes the analysis of ?Seoul Business Statistics? and the in-depth interviews with 14 professional designers. The result shows that design industry cluster in Euljiro is close to the traditional industry cluster mainly dependent on printing industry with very limited impact on urban economy, while Hongdae Area develops creative industry cluster by virtue of university spin-offs, art markets, hybrid cultural consumption spaces and the active participation of designers contributing to urban economy in diverse ways. This comparative analysis highlights the importance of various environmental components to encourage creative activities in developing the creative industry cluster.

  • This study examines the reason of a staggering trade deficit on the Korean agro-food industry. To achieve the goal of the study, this study suggests the policy implication for enlargement a trade deficit with foreign exchange rate. Despite the majority of grain importer does realize that there is a huge affection for price volatility on the business result, they are more likely to take flat pricing through the physical market to avoid risk of price volatility with exchange rate. Also the analysis of external and internal environments around the Korean agro-food export & import are conducted, particularly with the analysis of trade volume and food price affecting the export & import. Results from a survey show that the common factor to the effective use of overseas agricultural and foreign currency futures trading for grain traders in Korea.

  • In our society, the current smart devices have been commercialized and more time than most people are in contact with smart devices than the time in contact with the PC, it shows the same trend in terms of the game industry. Thus in the study, it was to try to make a game by utilizing the characteristics of only the smart devices in mobile environments among them by using the gyro sensor implementing the movements of characters. In particular, undergraduate student made various attempts to implement a single game using the sensor used in smart devices. In this paper, we have planned the adventure 3D running game that allows users to easily fun to play. Our goal is to implement one stage. We have discussed that you have designed and implemented.
