An Evaluation for Comparative Advantage in the Steel Industry

  • Purpose - Current society is competitive society. Rules of the game is applied to every kind of aspects not only business but also academic matters. This research is to analyze competitiveness between China and USA by use of trade related data together with revealed comparative advantage index(RCA) including trade specialization index(TSI). Research design, data, methodology - Per economic phase, both China-USA have mutually complementary character. That's why it is significant to analyze this 2 country's important industry. From our economic viewpoint, Both 2 economic powers should cooperate to achieve partnership in the steel business industry under the severe business competition. Results - This paper will provide which country is more comparatively advantage in case international business is held. Especially, steel industry is in a sense technology related business. Therefore, tied-up up-to-date advanced know-how and technology should be developed to be a leader for one of major industries in the world market. Conclusion - Among those various phenomena, this paper categorizes international business and research boundary is international trade contract. It is available to find out how to cooperate securing permanent and reliable business provider and supplier is essential and eminent for the successful accomplishment in the world steel market.

글로벌 회사채 스프레드에 대한 경기요인 영향력 분석: 기업 신용스프레드에 대한 경기사이클의 설명력 추정을 중심으로 (A Study on the Impact of Business Cycle on Corporate Credit Spreads)

  • Purpose - This paper investigates how business cycle impacts on corporate credit spreads since global financial crisis. Furthermore, it tests how the impact changes by the phase of the cycle. Design/methodology/approach - This study collected dataset from Barclays Global Aggregate Bond Index through the Bloomberg. It conducted multi-regression analysis by projecting business cycle using Hodrick-Prescott filtering and various cyclical variables, while ran dynamic analysis of 5-variable Vector Error Correction Model to confirm the robustness of the test. Findings - First, it proves to be statistically significant that corporate credit spreads have moved countercyclicaly since the crisis. Second, It indicates that the corporate credit spread's countercyclicality to the macroeconomic changes works symmetrically by the phase of the cycle. Third, the VECM supports that business cycle's impact on the spreads maintains more sustainably than other explanatory variable does in the model. Research implications or Originality - It becomes more appealing to accurately measure the real economic impact on corporate credit spreads as the interaction between credit and business cycle deepens. The economic impact on the spreads works symmetrically by boom and bust, which implies that the market stress could impact as another negative driver during the bust. Finally, the business cycle's sustainable impact on the spreads supports the fact that the economic recovery is the key driver for the resilience of credit cycle.

벤처기업의 내부 자원과 비즈니스모델 혁신성이 산업재산 성과에 미치는 영향 연구 (A Study on the Effect of Internal Resources and Business model Innovation of Venture Enterprises on Industrial Property Performance)

  • 본 연구는 벤처기업의 기술사업화에 산업재산권의 확보가 긍정적 영향을 미친다는 선행연구를 토대로 벤처기업의 내부 자원과 역량, 비즈니스모델 혁신 수준이 산업재산 성과에 영향을 파악하고자 접근하였다. 벤처기업 역량을 기업이 가지고 있는 내재적 요소(기업의 연구 자원)와 이를 구현해 내는 창발적 요소(사업화 역량)로 구분하고, 이들이 비즈니스모델의 혁신으로 기업의 잠재적 경쟁력으로 이어질 수 있음을 보이고자 하였다. 이러한 연구 목적을 검증하기 위하여 2019년 벤처기업정밀실태조사 대상 벤처확인기업 중 1,733개 법인기업을 대상으로 실증분석을 수행하였다. 벤처기업의 연구 자원, 사업화 역량은 산업재산 성과에 (+)로 유의한 것으로 확인되었다. 그러나, 비즈니스모델의 혁신성의 조절변수를 모두 적용한 최종 연구모형에서는 사업화 역량, 비즈니스모델 혁신은 (-)로 유의하였으며, 연구 자원×비즈니스모델 혁신, 사업화 역량×비즈니스모델 혁신은 (+)로 유의한 결과를 보였다. 이는 벤처기업의 우수한 자원과 역량은 개별적으로는 산업 재산 성과에 긍정적 영향을 미칠 수는 있으나, 실제 비즈니스모델의 혁신 수준을 적용했을 때는 비즈니스모델과 상호 작용해야 긍정적 영향을 주었으며, 사업화 역량과 비즈니스모델 혁신이 개별적으로만 작용할 경우 실제 사업화에 한계가 있을 것으로 인식하고 산업재산권 확보 노력을 하지 않는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구의 결과는, 벤처기업의 산업재산 확보와 혁신 성장을 위해서는 기업의 우수한 내부 자원 및 역량 강화와 함께 비즈니스모델 구성요소 중 경쟁자 대비 분명한 차별화 요인을 확보하는 비즈니스모델 혁신을 추구해야 함을 실증했다는 것에서 의의가 있다.

Effect of Information Capital Readiness on Business Performance in Indonesian MSMEs: Does Online Market Orientation Matter?

  • The focus of this study is to investigate the mediating role of online market orientation on information capital readiness-business performance relationship. The construct of information capital readiness is rarely researched. The readiness here refers to the availability of information capital needed to support strategy execution. As quantitative research, this study employs the partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) to test the hypotheses. Data was collected using questionnaires from the owners/managers of the micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the East Java Province, Indonesia. As many as 433 respondents had participated. The result indicates that information capital readiness directly and positively affects business performance. Further analysis reveals that online market orientation partially mediates information capital readiness-business performance relationship. In conclusion, this study suggests that the owners/managers of the MSMEs should improve their information capital readiness to support online market orientation strategy so that it can improve their business performance. This is the first study that brings together the issues of information capital readiness and online market orientation as the antecedents of business performance in the Indonesian MSMEs research setting. The mediating role of online market orientation is rarely explored in previous studies.

  • 본 연구는 급변하는 환경에 적응하기 위한 우정사업의 마케팅 전략을 제시하는 연구로써, 특히 인터넷의 발달에 따라서 우정사업에 근간이라고 할 수 있는 서장에 감소는 우정사업 존재 이유를 상실케 한다고 할 수 있다. 이런 환경변화에서 우정사업이 모색할 수 있는 생존전략을 마케팅 관점에서 서술한 연구이다. 본 연구에서 이론적 고찰에서 보편적 서비스와 우정사업에 대한 환경 분석을 통해서 우정사업이 처한 위치를 파악하고, 실증적 연구로써 우정사업이 나아갈 방향을 우체국을 이용하는 고객을 중심으로 실증조사를 통해서 우정사업의 뉴 패러다임, 보편적 서비스 강화, 사업다각화 방향관점 마케팅 전략을 제시하였다.

Does Entrepreneurial Leadership Matter for Micro-Enterprise Development?: Lesson from West Java in Indonesia

  • This research investigates the role of entrepreneurial leadership in micro-enterprise development in the district of Majalengka in West Java, Indonesia. This study applied a qualitative content analysis method to understand the phenomenon of micro-enterprises comprehensively. The data of this research was collected using surveys, interviews, and a group discussion. The findings indicated that technological information adaptation plays a crucial role in the development of micro-enterprise development. Since the group of millennials dominated the leadership, it has provided more creativity by implementing technological information instead of the previous generation that faced difficulties in adopting the technology. This study noted that inadequate technology adaptation makes micro-business gradually lose customers, and the business was threatened to close. Meanwhile, the role of leadership drives the business development, sales have risen, the number of products has been increasingly diverse, and business capital and number of employees have grown. The establishment of an entrepreneur group could facilitate peer-to-peer contact, knowledge transfer, training, and intervention to enhance leadership and business development. This finding pointed out that the leadership will successfully influence business development when supported by several characteristics such as manage the business, capture opportunities, confidence, firmness, personal integrity, communication, and social and technical expertise.

Impacts of Corporate Social Responsibility and Green Marketing Strategy on Business Performance: The Moderating Role of Balanced Scorecard

  • On the underpinning theory of the Resource Based Theory, this research examines the impact of corporate social responsibility and green marketing strategy on business performance with the moderating role balanced scorecard. Corporate social responsibility concentrates on related to government, the environment, customers, and employees. Green marketing strategy concentrates on approaches in terms of green products, green prices, green places, and green promotion. Business performance is measured by groups of indicators financial, and non-financial. The moderating role balanced the scorecard at the financial, customer, process, learning, and growth level. Research results with survey data from 419 managers at different food enterprises in Ho Chi Minh City processed through the structural analysis method, showed that corporate social responsibility has the strongest positive impact on business performance, followed by the green marketing strategy as the second strong positive impact on the business performance and results also showed that the balanced scorecard moderating role increases the level of the strong positive impact of the above relationship. Besides, it also showed the difference in the demographic control variables. Based on the findings, some implications are drawn to help the managers of enterprises improve the moderating role balanced scorecard when implementing corporate social responsibility and green marketing strategies thereby contributing to increasing business performance.

Role of ABAS and Bureaucratic Reformation in Improving Governmental Financial Performance Through Financial Decision Making

  • This research is aimed at examining the effect of the implementation of ABAS and BR on GFP with FDM as mediation. Respondent of research is 100 civil servants at the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the Republic of Indonesia. Data analysis is done with WarpPLS. Result of research shows that the implementation of ABAS has direct and indirect effects on GFP, and the indirect effect involves the mediation of FDM. Other result indicate that the making of proper financial decisions will help improving GFP. The effectiveness of financial decisions are able to mediate the implementation of ABAS in improve GFP. Meanwhile, BR does not affect GFP, either directly or indirectly through FDM. BR seems oriented more toward improving public service and people's welfare. This research suggests that the next research should examine whether the implementation of BR can improve governmental organizational performance in delivering public service. This research has proven that the implementation of ABAS has helped in improving the quality of FDM, while the other benefit is that this system improves GFP. Moreover, this research also gives confirmation that accounting information in good quality will be very useful in FDM.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the role of customer value and customer trust as a mediator of flexibility influence on customer retention. The study applies SEM tools with WarpPLS analysis and translates customer value and customer trust as mediation. This study was organized into three parts: exploratory research, descriptive research, and explanatory research. The quantitative approach in this study uses a survey method by taking samples from the population. This is a latent variable that is measured using a research instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to respondents. This research was conducted at PT. Nusa Prima Logistics Terminal Teluk Lamong by taking primary data, in the form of assessments or perceptions from respondents, so a survey was conducted by submitting a questionnaire directly to 194 respondents. Quantitative data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) to answer the research hypothesis. Flexibility is very influential in increasing customer retention so to develop customer retention, it is necessary to increase flexibility, customer value, and customer trust. The novelty in this research lies in identifying the role and position of customer value and customer trust as mediation that affect customer retention.
