부산의 전통.향토음식의 현황 고찰 (A Rearch of Traditional & Native Local Foods in Busan)

  • Busan is an underdeveloped region in food culture, though it has geographically convenient conditions of location to make good use of marine products from the sea and the river, a variety of grain and vegetables, and forest products. Thus, in this research, I studied the traditional and local native foods of Busan, focusing on there origins and the backgrounds of their development. There are many traditional and local native foods in Busan, Pajun, Macguli, Jaechupguk, Gupoguksoo and etc. For the development of food culture of Busan, We will keep researching its traditional and local native foods and try to form a new pattern of food culture, making the adventage of an international trading city.

지역 노동시장 인적자원의 직업생활 실태분석 -부산지역 대졸 및 직업훈련기관 출신자를 중심으로- (An Analysis on the Vocational Life of Human Resources in Busan)

  • The study aims at analyzing practices of vocational life of human resources in Busan. This study adopted a questionnaire method in research of university(14), college(12) and public & private vocational training institute(10) in Busan areas for empirical analysis. Analyzing items are consist of two parts. The one is employment life and job-seeking activity, the other is career development and future plan in career. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. First, employees have had a 2-3 times job transfer experiences. Second, difficulties of job-seeking activity are lack of information and experience. Third, the best wanted region for job transfer is Seoul etc.

부산지역의 암 사망에 영향을 미치는 요인 (A Study on Factors Affecting Cancer Mortality in Busan)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting cancer mortality inequality in Busan according to demographic characteristics identified based on the region's mortality data including cancer incidence and mortality rates, ultimately helping the region improve its existing health policies and establish a more effective cancer prevention policy. To achieve this purpose, this researcher surveyed data about all persons who died in Busan from 2006 to 2009. Data were analyzed with an SPSS 18.0 program using descriptive statistics, Chi-Square(${\chi}^2$), and Logistic Regression analysis. Findings of the study can be summarized as follows. First, in Busan, men were about two times higher in cancer mortality rate than women. Second, persons who died of cancer in Busan were significantly different from one another in terms of demographic characteristics, especially, age, marital status, and job. Third, factors affecting cancer mortality inequality in Busan included such demographic characteristics as gender, age at the time of death, marital status, educational background, and job.

지역 및 고도별 산불로부터 온실가스 배출량 분석 연구 (A Study on Analysis of Greenhouse Gas Emissions from Forest Fires Depending on Region and Altitude)

  • In this study we analyzed carbon emissions of leaves of a Pinus densiflora which is vulnerable to a forest fire using the cone calorimeter in order to analyze greenhouse gas emissions from forest fires depending on region and altitude. Fuels were collected from 9 regions[Hongcheon(Gangwon-do), Chungsong(Gyeongbuk-do), Yanhpyeong (Gyeonggi-do), Jecheon(Chungchongbuk-do), Gongju(Chungcheongnam-do), Wuju(Jeollabuk-do), Youngam(Jeollanam-do), Busan and Jeju-do)] and 9 altitudes(80 m, 450 m, 900 m, 1000 m, 1100 m, 1200 m, 1300 m, 1400 m and 1500 m) and then, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions contained in a weight of 50 g of fuel were analyzed. According to the results, there were differences in carbon emissions by regional groups, as the average carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions in 9 regions were nearly 43.5929 g to 52.8868 g, and 0.8842 g to 3.6422 g, respectively. Busan and Jecheon had relatively higher carbon dioxide emissions and especially, Busan had 1.23 times higher carbon dioxide emissions than Jeju-do. Also, Gongju, Chungcheongnamo Province and Busan had relatively higher carbon monoxide emissions and especially, Gongju and Pusan had relatively higher carbon monoxide emissions and especially, Gongju had 4.12 higher carbon monoxide emissions than Hongcheon. In addition, there were differences in carbon emissions too depending on altitude, since carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions in 9 altitudes were respectively, 40.7015 g to 68.9297 g and 1.3923 g to 12.2918 g. At the altitude of 80m, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions were respectively, 68.9297 g and 12.2918 g, and at the altitude of 450m, carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide emissions were respectively, 65.5115 g and 11.2497 g. These results show that pine trees at the lower altitude discharge relatively more carbon. It is considered that this analysis on carbon emissions depending on region and altitude can be effectively used for predicting greenhouse gas emissions and establishing statistical data from forest fires in each region and altitude.

유통 한약재의 이산화황 함유량에 관한 연구 (Studies on the Contents of Occuring Sulfur Dioxide in Herbal Medicines distributed at Market)

  • This study was investigated the residual contents of sulfur dioxide on the 373 kinds of herbal medicine distributed from Korea, China, and Japan. A modified Monier-Williams method was described for the determination of $SO_{2}$ contents in herbal medicines. The residual contents of $SO_{2}$ were not detected at 221 products$(59.8{\%})$ in total 373 products. Regardless of region, $SO_{2}$ contents were not found at Farfarae Flos, Zizyphi Spinosi Semen, Castanea crenata, and Strychni Ignatii Semen. But it's found at Asparagi Radix, Codonopsitis Radix, Lilii Bulbus, and Kaempferiae Rhizoma of every region collected the samples. Also, $SO_{2}$ contents were not detected at the herbal medicines which collected cultural fields of dometic. $SO_{2}$ contents ranged 11$\~$3990 mg/kg(mean 152 mg/kg) at domestic samples, 11$\~$3440 mg/kg(mean 603 mg/kg) at imported samples. After treated with water wash and hot water extraction, the reduction rates of sulfur dioxide were appeared with $24.4{\%}\~68.7{\%}\;and\;83.8{\%}\~100.0{\%},$ respectively. These data will be used to establish a criteron of residual sulfur dioxide in herbal medicines.

부산연안의 인공어초 시설 현황과 유효공용적 평가 (Estimation of Efficient Use of Volume and Facility Volume Distribution of Artificial Reefs deployed in the Busan Sea Region)

  • 본 연구는 부산연안에 기 시설된 인공어초에 대해서 현재 시설현황을 분석하고 조사된 결과를 바탕으로 시설된 단위어초의 유효공용적율 평가 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구를 통해 획득되어진 연구결과는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 부산연안의 연도별 인공어초시설 추이를 살펴본 결과, 단위어초수와 시설면적은 1997년부터 2004년까지 큰 폭의 변동 경향을 나타내었다. 하지만 시설물량에서는 2003년이후 급격하게 감소된 결과를 나타내었는데 강제어초 및 세라믹어초 등 다양한 어초가 사용됨에 따라서 나타난 패턴이라 할 수 있다. 기장군 해역에 시설되어 있는 어초는 2,777개로 89%의 확인율을, 해운대 남구해역은 7,691개로 어초 확인율은 84.9%, 사하 강서해역에의 확인량은 사각형어초의 경우 905개로서 96%, 그 외 어초는 모두 100%이었다. 부산연안에 시설된 인공어초의 경우 그 보존상태가 약 85%이상으로서 매우 양호한 상태를 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있으며 해저 지반조건에 따라서 다소 침하, 이탈, 망실 등 약 15%의 손실이 발생하였다.

일제강점기 부산 아미동 화장장의 설립과 변천 (The Establishment and Change of Busan Ami-dong Crematorium in Japanese Colonial Period)

  • Ami-dong Crematorium in Busan was established as one of the public facilities in 1929(the period of Japanese Occupation). It is the originator of Busan Yeongnak-Park(永樂公園), the funeral facilities of Busan municipality. The crematorium of Busan region was accepted at an earlier stage inside Japanese Concession in accordance with the opening a port. As Ami-dong Crematorium was constructed as a public facilities, the precedent has been maintained so far, providing a background equipped with the leading public corporation facilities in Busan area. This study was based on the expansion construction document founded by National Archives in Korea. Above all things, this research revealed the establishment and change of Busan Ami-dong Crematorium as the historical point for the formation process of recent public funeral facilities.

제주시와 부산시 해안변의 해안경관보전을 위한 경관평가 (Assessment of Coastal Landscape in Jeju City and Busan City)

  • 제주시와 부산시 해안변의 경관훼손부분에 대한 연구를 수행하였다. 해안경관은 초점경관과 경관흡수인자들에 의하여 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. 부산시과 제주시의 해안경관을 조사한 결과 횟집수조 내 공급되는 해수를 인근 해역에 해수 파이프를 설치하여 이용하고 있으나 무질서하게 설치된 해수 인수관으로 인하여 아름다운 해안경관의 미관을 해치고 있으며 부산시나 제주시를 찾는 관광객들의 많은 불만을 야기시키고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 해수인수관의 색상과 질감 그리고 그것을 관찰하는 행인이나 관찰자에 의한 두 가지 정보에 의하여 해안경관이 결정됨을 알 수 있었다.

부산지역 스킨스쿠버 참여자의 현상학적 연구 (Phenomenological Study of Skin Scuba Participants in Busan Region)

  • This study has studied the phenomenon exclusive to the activity of skin scuba among marine sports in Busan region, and such empirical studies are for the development of skin scuba, and even of the entire marine sports, and in order to achieve such objective, the study method centered around qualitative study method of in-depth interview, participatory observation, and documentation study, the results of which are as follows. First is the advantage of the local environment as an open-water location. This study area has beaches of pebbles, and the underwater is also comprised of pebbles up to a certain distance, securing a superior underwater visibility compared to the sand of other Busan regions, and such local environment is thought to be an advantage of skin scuba activity. Second is the satisfaction of accessibility. This study area had an advantage in participant accessibility, which is thought to act as a good strength for the marine sports development of this area in the future. Third is the satisfaction of education. The club instructors of this study area had various marine sports-related licenses such as skin scuba, along with marine lifeguard trainer qualifications to prepare against safety accidents, which are also thought to have positive influences on the education satisfaction for beginners. Fourth is the inconvenient subsidiary facility. This study area has great natural environment for open waters, but the subsidiary facilities of the club for skin scuba activity was found to be very inconvenient by this study, and for the future development of skin scuba, the improvement of subsidiary facilities should be considered. Fifth is the inconvenient parking facilities. The participants in this study area agreed upon the inconvenience of the parking issue alongside the subsidiary facilities. There are always parking issues near the coasts of Busan region, and in order to resolve such issues, active assistance from the City of Busan and each local government, and if such methods are well proposed, the conflict between the marine sports participants and local residents shall be resolved, it would play a great role in the development of marine sports.

Rapidly growing giant pilomatricoma in the right parotid region of a pregnant woman

  • Pilomatricoma is a benign tumor arising from the primitive basal cells of the epidermis that differentiate into hair matrix cells. Mutations in the CTNNB1 gene, which encodes β-catenin (a protein involved in hair growth), play an etiological role in the development of pilomatricoma. A 34-year-old woman presenting with a mass in the right parotid region underwent an excisional biopsy. The mass was conclusively diagnosed as pilomatricoma. During pregnancy, the mass grew from 1 cm to 5 cm in diameter and was accompanied by pain and tenderness. The growth may have been facilitated by the increased production of estrogen and progesterone, which bind to receptors located in the outer root sheath cells of the hair follicles. No recurrence was observed during 6 months of follow-up.
