해양환경특성에 따른 해저케이블 설치 및 보호방안 (Submarine Cable Installation and Protection Methods according as Characteristics of Ocean Environment)

  • 일반적으로 해저케이블 보호공법에는 매설공법이 많이 사용되고 있으나 한국 연안역에서는 양식어장이라고 하는 특수한 여건과 조업 선박의 어구어법으로 인하여 다양한 형태의 보호공법이 사용되고 있다. 현재 한국의 해저케이블에 적용되어 있는 보호공법에는 해양의 저질 상태에 따라서 깊이를 달리하는 매설공법, 연속적인 Concrete mattress 공법, 주철관과 U-duct를 이용한 공법, Concrete bag을 쌓는 공법, 돌을 쌓는 Rock berm 공법, Mortar bag을 쌓는 공법 및 FCM (Flexible Concrete Mattress) 공법 등이 있다. 이와 같은 보호공법은 설치 해역의 해양환경특성과 친환경적인 공법보다는 해저케이블의 위해요소에 대한 안정성만을 고려하여 해저케이블 보호공법을 선정하여 시공하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 해저케이블 위해요소와 수심, 해저질 등의 해양환경특성과 보다 친환경적인 측면을 고려하여 해양환경특성별 적정 보호공법을 제시한다.

현장 조사를 통한 가축전염병 대응 정책개선 방안 연구 (Study on Policy Improvement Measures to Respond to Infectious Diseases of Livestock through Field Investigation)

  • 연구목적: 본 연구는 가축전염병 가축사체처리 및 방역관리에 대한 특성을 분석하고, 가축전염병 방역과 사후 관리의 실효성을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 실제로 가축전염병이 발생하여 가축 사체를 처리한 매몰지 및 매몰 관리시설을 현장 방문하여 관리현황과 문제점을 분석하였다. 연구결과: 가축전염병 발생 가축의 매몰방식과 그에 따른 장기적인 후속 관리는 많은 인력과 예산을 투입하게 만들어 비효율적인 방역시스템임을 알 수 있었다. 결론: 2차적인 감염병 전파우려가 없고 후속 관리가 필요 없는 정부와 광역 시도 및 시군구 차원의 통합 가축전염병동물 사체처리 시설 설립 방안의 검토가 필요하다.

매몰 사축에 의한 침출수내 오염물질 제거 방법 (Method for contaminant removal from leachate induced by buried livestock carcasses)

  • This study presents a novel method for addressing the issue of high-concentration contaminants (ammonium, phosphate, antibiotics) in leachate arising from decomposing livestock carcasses. Antibiotics, developed to eliminate microorganisms, often have low biodegradability and can persist in the ecosystem. This research proposes design elements to prevent contamination spread from carcass burial sites. The adsorbents used were low-grade charcoal (an industrial by-product), Alum-based Adsorbent (ABA), and Zeolite, a natural substance. These effectively removed the main leachate contaminants: low-grade charcoal for antibiotics (initial concentration 1.05 mg/L, removal rate 73.4%), ABA for phosphate (initial concentration 2.53 mg/L, removal rate 99.9%), and zeolite for ammonium (initial concentration 38.92 mg/L, removal rate 100.0%). The optimal mix ratio for purifying leachate is 1:1:10 of low-grade charcoal, ABA, and zeolite. The average adsorbent usage per burial site was 1,800 kg, costing KRW 2,000,000 per ton. The cost for the minimum leachate volume (about 12.4 m3) per site is KRW 2,880,000, and for the maximum volume (about 19.7 m3) is KRW 4,620,000. These findings contribute to resolving issues related to livestock carcass burial sites and suggest post-management strategies by advocating for the effective use of adsorbents in leachate purification.

해저지반 성질과 매설깊이 변화에 따른 해저파이프의 충돌 특성 (Impact Characteristics of Subsea Pipeline Considering Seabed Properties and Burial Depth)

  • In this study, the impact characteristics of subsea pipelines that were installed in various soil types and burial depths were evaluated by a numerical method. An impact scenario replicated a dropped ship anchor that fell vertically and impacted an installed subsea pipeline. In order to calculate the impact force through terminal velocity, FLUENT, a computational fluid dynamic program and MDM (Moving Deforming Mesh) technique were applied. Next, a dynamic finite element program, ANSYS Explicit Dynamics, was used for impact analysis between the anchor and pipeline (or, subsea if they were buried). Three soil types were considered: loose sand, dense sand and soft clay by applying the Mohr-coulomb model to the seabed. The buried depth was assumed to be 0 m, 1 m and 2 m. In conclusion, a subsea pipeline was the most stable when buried in dense sand at a depth of 2 m to prevent impact damage.

  • A pipeline is one of the most important structures for the transportation of fluids such as oil, natural gas, and wastewater. The uplift behavior of pipelines caused by earthquakes and buoyancy is one of the reasons for the failure of pipelines. The objective of this study is to examine the peak uplift resistance using parametric studies with numerical modeling of PLAXIS 3D Tunnel. The effects of burial depth and pipe diameter on the uplift resistance of loose and dense sand were first examined. Subsequently, the effects of the length of geogrid layers and the number of geogrid layers were examined to prevent uplift behavior.

  • Agricultural and municipal wastes arc serious nuisance. in Korea. Disposal of these wastes by land application, incineration or burial have created serious environmental problems such as air pollution and ground water contamination. Uncomposted waste materials are also potential sources of plant and soil pathogens. As available sites for waste burial become more difficult to find and air quality standards for incineration become stricter, composting as a method for treating solid wastes will become more attractive. This article discussed the recent topics on composting to further develop a rational strategy. The future of composting is developed based on the interacting factors of the price of energy and fertilizer, public policy, economic considerations, and biotechnology.

조선후기 회격릉의 지하구조를 반영한 봉릉의 시공과 형식 (A Study on the correlation between underground structure and tumulus of the Royal Tomb in the Joseon Dynasty)

  • In the early of Joseon Dynasty, Royal Tomb developed from stone chamber tomb to lime chamber tomb through precedents. The lime chamber tomb consists of main-chamber(JeongGwang) and sub-chamber(ToeGwang). This separation makes character to construct tumulus of the Royal Tomb half and half. By this character, the Royal Tomb are not constructed by separate structure but constructed by coadjustment. The underground structure and tumulus of the Royal Tomb affect each other in the size and method of construction. The selecting type of Royal Tomb is generally made decision through terrain and politics. This study prove the architectural structure is also one of the major cause the that select type of Royal Tomb.

마포 밀창군 묘 출토 복식유물의 섬유외 물질의 추출분석 (Analysis of the Extracted Non-fibrous Matters from the Exhumed Textiles of Milchang-gun Burial of Mapo)

  • The purpose of this research was two-folds; first, to investigate the type of soil contaminated in the Hunsang excavated from the Milchang-gun burial of Mapo for the purpose of proposing the adequate washing method, second, to utilize the chemical degradation result obtained from the previous research to identify the natural dye source used in the Hunsang textile. The application of KS K0251 test showed that the soil was more oleophilic than hydrophilic thus indicating that wet cleaning was more adequate that dry cleaning for the removal of Hunsang soil. The GC-MS result of the Hunsang extraction showed dimethyl phthalate and 2,4-di-tert-butylphenol as its degradation product and these coincided with the degradation products from the alizarin standard data of previous research. The comparison of the two suggested that it is likely that Hunsang was dyed with madder which has alizarin as its major chromophore.

비매설식 자동차량인식장치를 이용한 구간교통정보 산출 방법 연구 (Regional Traffic Information Acquisition by Non-intrusive Automatic Vehicle Identification)

  • 본 연구는 기존 지점검지기와 비콘검지기 및 매설식 자동차량인식장치(Automatic Vehicle Identification : AVI)의 한계점을 극복하고자 비매설식 AVI를 개발하고 이를 통하여 도로상을 주행하는 일반적인 차량들을 프루브 차량으로 활용하여 신뢰성 있는 구간교통정보를 산출하는 방법을 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 이를 위해 비매설식 자동차량인식장치를 개발하고, 국도1호선 수원$\~$평택구간(9.5km)에 설치되어 운용중인 장비에 대하여, 현장에서 수집된 자료를 분석하여 신뢰성 있는 구간교통정보 수집 가능성을 살펴보았다. 현장 실험 결과 레이저센서의 차량 검지율은 95$\%$ 이상, 차량 인식률은 87.8$\%$이며, 차량 매칭률은 약 14.3$\%$로 분석되어 도로의 괴통상황 추이를 잘 반영하는 것으로 판단되었다. 또 시스템의 신뢰도 시험 및 지속성 시험 방법에 의한 시험결과의 성능을 비친 평가하기 위하여 기존의 이와 유사한 장비를 설치하여 검수하는 각 기관의 검수기준을 적용하여 평가한 결과 본 시스템은 각 검수 기준을 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타나 현장 적용성에서 매우 뛰어난 성능을 보이고 있다 향후 연구과제로서, 설치 대상 차로 및 적정 설치구간 거리, 정보 제공 주기 등에 대한 상세한 연구 및 기존 지점 검지기 자료와의 퓨전(Fusion) 방안에 대한 연구가 필요할 컷으로 사료된다.

가축 전염병 발생에 따른 소와 닭 사체의 화학적 처리 방법의 적용 (Application of chemical treatment for cattle and chicken carcasses for the control of livestock infectious diseases)

  • In the event of an outbreak of a livestock epidemic, it has been considered that the existing burial-centered carcass disposal method should be improved ecofriendly for prevention of leachate and odors from burial basically in regard of pathogen inactivation. Therefore, the aim of this study is whether it was possible to treat the carcass of cattle and chickens using the chemical carcass treatment method. It was conducted to establish detailed treatment standards for the chemical treatment method of cattle and chicken carcasses based on the results of the proof of the absence of infectious diseases in cattle chickens. After inoculating cattle carcass with 10 pathogens (foot and mouth disease virus, bovine viral diarrhea virus, Mycobacterium bovis, Mycobacterium avium subsp. Paratuberculosis, Brucella abortus, Bacillus anthracis, Clostridium chauvoei, Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella Typhimurium) and chicken carcasses with low pathogenic avian influenza virus, Clostridium perfringens type C, E. coli and Salmonella Typhimurium, these were treated at 90℃ for 5 hours in a potassium hydroxide liquid solution corresponding to 15% of the body weight. This method liquefies all cadaveric components and inactivates all inoculated pathogens by PCR and culture. Based on these results, it was possible to prove that chemical treatment of cattle and chicken carcasses is effective in killing pathogens and is a safe method without the risk of disease transmission. The chemical treatment method of livestock carcasses can be suggested as an alternative to the current domestic burial-centered livestock carcass treatment method, preventing environmental pollution, and contributing to public health.
