Since the year 2000, the growth rate of domestic manufacturing has declined and the sales and employment have decreased. Major developed countries have established a variety of strategies to strengthen their manufacturing competitiveness, and promote manufacturing innovation through the convergence of technology and ICT. The key to manufacturing innovation is to reduce the time and cost for developing new products using modeling and simulation (M&S) technology in the product design stage. M&S industries, which belong to the top sector of the industry value chain, have a huge ripple effect across other industries. On the other hand, the competitiveness of the domestic M&S industry is weak compared to developed countries and even the definition and classification of domestic M&S companies have not been made. In this paper, by analyzing the Korea Standard Industry Classification (KSIC), five fine industry classifications included in M&S service companies were derived. In addition, the 307 M&S service companies were derived in accordance with the selection procedure of 3 steps from the 11,822 related companies. To analyze the capabilities of domestic M&S service companies, the current status of the selected M&S service companies was investigated. Considering the Korean economy's high dependence on the manufacturing industry, strengthening the competitiveness of manufacturing industry is required by enhancing the capacities and building an ecosystem in domestic M&S services for future sustainable economic growth.
Android platform is a powerful operating system developed on Linux 2.6 Kernel, and provides many features such as comprehensive libraries, a multimedia environment, and powerful interface for phone applications. Since Android is an open operating system, which can be installed in any vendors's equipments. Current smartphones as well as netbooks, navigations, car PCs, tablet PCs, Industrial PCs are used in various fields. It is difficult a lot that to mount to other devices on the Android platform or new devices. In this Paper, The process that data that occurred from a hardware was passed to the highest application and Android platform system for managing hardware devices were analyzed. Building Android & driver compilation environment, How to support the protocol for the use of WiFi in the kernel, How to Mount a WiFi device in the kernel, Device driver registration for the Android platform, WiFi Management Service Daemon (wpa_supplicant) and IP allocation services daemon (dhcpcd) registration, How to create a socket for communication between the daemon (wpa_supplicant) and HAL have been presented. In the experiment using the proposed method, WiFi devices were mounted on the Android platform in the X-86 & ARM family. Understanding the whole process of control flow in Android hierarchy is very important to porting a new device on it. Recently, with the US protection trade trend, South Korea 's exports to the US have shrunk and the need to pioneer emerging markets in Eurasia has increased. Due to the bankruptcy of Hanjin Shipping, a large Korean national shipping company, the necessity of securing transportation that can replace the Asian - European shipping route has emerged. Moreover, as the international trade and logistics environment is rapidly changing due to the spread of electronic commerce, it is time to prepare for the environment where IT technology is applied to international logistics activities. Therefore, this study was carried out to establish information strategy of Eurasia logistics information sharing platform from Korean perspective through comparison of logistics information level of Eurasian countries. This study aims at standardization direction for supporting logistics activities between Eurasian countries, providing customs clearance and logistics services without interruption, providing information for expanding business of trade companies, and building information linkage infrastructure for expanding cooperation between logistics companies across countries. Through this study, it is expected that logistics activities through information sharing among countries will be actively carried out.
A theoretical research project is undertaken to develop integrated analysis and design tools for long span composite beams in modern high-rise buildings, and it aims to develop non-linear finite element models for practical design of composite beams. As the first paper in the series, this paper presents the development study as well as the calibration exercise of the proposed finite element models for simply supported composite beams. Other practical issues such as continuous composite beams, the provision of web openings for passage of building services, the partial continuity offered by the connections to columns as well as the behaviour of both unprotected and protected composite beams under fires will be reported separately. In this paper, details of the finite elements and the material models for both steel and reinforced concrete are first described, and finite element studies of composite beams with full details of test data are then presented. It should be noted that in the proposed finite element models, both steel beams and concrete slabs are modelled with two dimensional plane stress elements whose widths are assigned to be equal to the widths of concrete flanges, and the flange widths and the web thicknesses of steel beams as appropriate. Moreover, each shear connector is modelled with one horizontal spring and one vertical spring to simulate its longitudinal shear and pull-out actions based on measured load-slippage curves of push-out tests of shear connectors. The numerical results are then carefully analyzed and compared with the corresponding test results in terms of load mid-span deflection curves as well as load end-slippage curves. Other deformation characteristics of the composite beams such as stress and strain distributions across the composite cross-sections as well as distributions of shear forces and slippages in shear connectors along the beam spans are also examined in details. It is shown that the numerical results of the composite beams compare well with the test data in terms of various load-deformation characteristics along the entire deformation ranges. Hence, the proposed analysis and design tools are considered to be simple and yet effective for composite beams with practical geometrical dimensions and arrangements. Structural engineers are strongly encouraged to employ the models in their practical work to exploit the full advantages offered by composite construction.

The use of high frequency band, broad band and MIMO antenna is expected in the next generation mobile communication system. By the rapid increase of demand for wireless communications and the explosive increase of the mobile communication services, researches for optimization of next-generation mobile communication system are required. In the existing MIMO channel models, propagation-environments are commonly classified into urban, suburban, rural area, etc. However such approaches can have drawbacks in that many different morphologies may exist even in the urban area, for example. In this paper, we introduced path morphology concept, and proposed the method of morphology classification considering the building height, density, etc. Delay spread(DS), angular spread(AS) of AoD and AoA analyzed for each environment using the ray tracing technique. Based on the analysis, a MIMO channel model appropriate in domestic environment was suggested.

A Ubiquitous City (U-city, Smart City) is one that ties information communications technologies (ICT) into many facets of city construction, thereby implicitly intending to function as a smart city that aims to be efficiently managed as well as provide an enhanced standard of living for its residents. Laws related to the construction of such ubiquitous cities point to integrated city management centers, intelligent facilities, and U-City infrastructure, among others, as central components of U-Cities, but do not provide a standard for these structures. Consequently, building of U-Cities by local governments are based on arbitrary judgments constrained the myriad of practical limitations that they face. Such ambiguity brings to light the need to find ways to improve the quality of these efforts. The first and second stages of this research examine the status of the components of a U-City -ubiquitous planning, technology, infrastructure, and services - and undertakes a comprehensive review thereof, with evaluation criteria formulated on the characteristics of stability, connectivity, goal-orientation, and development potential. In the research's third stage, a realistic and detailed evaluation index by which U-Cities can be renewed, demonstrated, and applied (???) is introduced in a step-by-step fashion, which will allow for local governments to properly assess the standard of their U-City in relation to the realities of the locality. Through the research result, it is expected that the index will become a part of the continued development and advancement of the "smart" character of an autonomous U-City at the local scale, and contribute to the overall revitalization of the U-City.
This study was conducted to investigate the degree of utilization of outsourcing in large hospitals in Korea. We also investigated the outcome and the level of satisfaction for adopting outsourcing in these hospitals. Types of work areas that were currently operated by outsourcing and were planned to adopt outsourcing in the future were identified. A total of 83 hospitals were eligible for this study, which had more than 500 beds, and were identified from the 2003 National Hospital List published by the Korean Hospital Association. A self-administered Questionnaire survey was conducted between April 25th and May 20th in 2003 with a personnel being charged of arrangement of outsourcing in each hospital. Among the 58 hospitals responding the survey(response rate=69.9%), 49 hospitals(84.5%) utilized outsourcing in at least one work field in their organizations. The largest proportion of the hospitals(85.7%) using outsourcing responded that the biggest outcome after introducing outsourcing were cost reduction(49.0%), followed by improved efficiency in operating the organization or human resources(34.7%) and the improved quality of the work(6.1%). The degree of satisfaction for outsourcing among the hospital managers(3.43) was significantly higher than that among the employees(3.l4) on a S-point Likert-type scale(p<0.05). Among the 7 work areas, the hospitals used outsourcing most frequently in facility management(housekeeping, building maintenance, hospital security and parking management), followed by non-medical profit business(funeral, convenient store, and cafeteria), logistics(provision of patient meal, in-house delivery, and purchasing), and information and computing system(hospital information system, maintenance of personal computers and printers). The work areas that the hospitals planned to adopt or expand the outsourcing in the future most frequently were facility management, non-medical profit business, logistics, and information and computing systems. In conclusion, outsourcing was highly diffused in large Korean hospitals, particularly in the work field of facility management and non-medical profit business. The satisfaction for outsourcing was not high yet in Korean hospitals.

Industry Cooperation is not the choice of national development but the inevitable component in the world. Industry cooperation results of the reconstruction of the country is an important place as an essential element of the economic development of the national policy in the major economies. Despite several changes in the international economic environment, United States, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Israel settled and maintaining the sustainable development of the countries which successfully established Industry-University Cooperation or Industry-Acaemy Cooperation system in history. In this study, delivered to the realistic ways of Industry cooperation through comparison study on domestic and international cooperation programs. The new activation programs of industry academic cooperation are delivered, that is, The bonus payments system of technology development patent and free technology transfer for joint development, bonus points system and evaluation indicators for joint capacity building program which participate student, industry and academic sector, step-by-step training. system for total employment and entrepreneurship at the same time strengthening management training programs and education opportunity gives to the benefits for the community members. Finally, Intellectual property expert matching program which develops basis of technology trader and expert maps in the smallest unit by administrative area. practice the internet information search services in national wide network for this matching program and government office dedicated to staffing for technology transfer.
The current study examines whether consumers' perceived usefulness of and trust in the integrated mobile payments services positively influence consumer loyalty to the payments system as well as to the online shopping websites where they have used the payments system. Moreover, the study investigates the effects of individual characteristics and brand awareness of the provider of mobile payments on perceived usefulness and trust. Online survey was administered to consumers ranging in age from 20s to 40s. Data analysis reveals that as consumers' perceived usefulness of and trust in the mobile payments system positively influence consumer loyalty to mobile payments and shopping mall websites. The results of the study suggests that e-commerce's user interface design, particularly the transaction system, should receive greater attention as a basic web element of e-commerce building rather than a set of plug-ins or so.
Fire-stations' works limited to the existing fire protection rescue and emergency services in rapidly changing disaster environment are not difficult to deal with the fire service demand of the people any longer. In this study, after calculating the importance of the disaster management about fire-stations' works by disaster management steps thorough a survey of experts about Fire and Disaster, firefighting tasks are to be redesigned. Experts have the higher rating in preparation step of firefighting tasks. Because securing resources and building systems in preparation step and safety training in prevention step have a high importance, it is required to improve efficiency of firefighting tasks through redesign. The most important point in redesign is to realize fire-stations' works are to expand and to develop such a policy if fire-offices excavate the civil and government cooperation works and provide such legal and institutional basis of establishment and operation. And it should be sought to maintain international cooperation for international disaster response. Ultimately, fire-offices will have further expansion in quality and simultaneously quantitatively by excavating 'collaboration (business cooperation)' or enhancing existing works in addition to existing 'fire and rescue, first aid' business.
