As people's living standards and expectations for life increase, by applying advanced technology in the city, to enhance the convenience and safety needs are being expanded gradually. Accordingly, so the future of the city to see a viable alternative to that the ubiquitous city fused information communication technologies, large-scale projects conducted at the national level. Sectoral Disaster Prevention is ready for sure how much the lack of response capabilities in the field for checking solution has been suggested for The National Emergency Management Agency. These results present a Sectoral Disaster Prevention response capabilities somewhat different in were identified. Through these are proposed policy recommendations about Sectoral Disaster Prevention and insufficient areas of step response capabilities and building fire protection system approach combines ubiquitous technology in the new paradigm rather than traditional disaster management, greet era of ubiquitous.
Flooding is an unavoidable natural disaster for the city. Flood disasters seriously undermine the city's economy, safety, and sustained development. In the course of development and construction of waterfront space in the same city, the construction of basic disaster prevention facilities cannot be avoided completely even if huge amounts of capital are invested to reduce the economic damage of flooding. The cost of rebuilding the city after the disaster is much higher than the cost of building disaster prevention facilities. In recent years, the theory of elasticity in urban reconstruction and so on has been a subject of city problem solving, creating widespread discussion and attention in academia. In other words, how to transform the concept of elasticity into practice based on theoretical and empirical factors is a real problem facing urban disaster. Through theoretical literature on the waterfront (space) buffer zone of a city (flood-weak area) and the case study of the city's practice, this paper tries to clarify the element of 5R, the theory of elastomeric fire prevention, and present detailed measures accordingly. In addition, the following two problems are addressed while emphasizing the feasibility of implementing the urban waterfront (space) plan of the elastomeric element around the urban water buffer zone. First, the means of disaster prevention planning are used to mitigate conflicts between individual utility of urban waterfront and disaster prevention functions in waterfront buffer zones, and second, the waterfront buffer zone can respond to flood-causing problems in terms of disaster prevention as much as possible through the elastic disaster prevention plan.

During the construction work, many deaths and injuries have occurred in the formwork. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of construction workers about the disaster of formwork collapse. In this study, the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique was used to analyze the perception of construction workers and derive urgent factors for improvement. As a result of IPA analysis, the fourth quadrant factor needed to be improved first, and the second quadrant factor needed effort distribution. Therefore, it is judged that this study can be used as basic data for safety management and disaster prevention activities.

The amount of damages caused by natural hazards is consistently growing due to the unusual weather and extreme events. At the same time, property damage by natural hazards is rapidly increasing as well. Hence, we need systematic anti-disaster activities and consulting that can react to such a situation. To address these needs, we investigated and analyzed insured claim payouts from natural hazards by administrative area, and calculate the risk index utilizing GIS. According to the index, this map is identifying the areas of greatest natural hazard risk. The ranking of natural disaster vulnerability based on the risk index, and risk grades were divided into five based on the ranking. This map integrates the natural hazard losses to assist in comprehensive and effective loss prevention activities using analysis of regional loss claims from natural hazards. Moreover, this map can be as utilized as loss mitigation and prevention activities to verify the distribution of exposure and hazards.

This study develops finite element models for seismically-deficient reinforced concrete building frame retrofitted using fiber-reinforced polymer jacketing system and validates the finite element models with full-scale dynamic test for as-built and retrofitted conditions. The bond-slip effects measured from a past experimental study were modeled using one-dimensional slide line model, and the bond-slip models were implemented to the finite element models. The finite element model can predict story displacement and inter-story drift ratio with slight simulation variation compared to the measured responses from the full-scale dynamic tests.
Many disaster monitoring systems are constantly studied to prevent disasters such as environmental pollution, the breaking of a tunnel and a building, flooding, storm earthquake according to the progress of wireless telecommunication, the miniaturization of terminal devices, and the spread of sensor network. A disaster monitoring system can extract information of a remote place, process sensor data with rules to recognize disaster situation, and provide work for preventing disaster. However existing monitoring systems are not enough to predict and prevent disaster, because they can only process current sensor data through utilizing simple aggregation function and operators. In this paper, we design and implement a disaster prevention system to predict near future dangerous area through using outside sensor network and spatial Information. The provided prediction technique considers the change of spatial information over time with current sensor data, and indicates the place that could be dangerous in near future. The system can recognize which place would be dangerous and prepare the disaster prevention. Therefore, damage of disaster and cost of recovery would be reduced. The provided disaster prevention system and prediction technique could be applied to various disaster prevention systems and be utilized for preventing disaster and reducing damages.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the safety of evacuation using the Pathfinder program for the alert at once, the priority alarm method, the priority alarm method for the four floors above, and the sequential priority alarm method, which is a modification of the priority alarm method specified in the tourist hotel building. Currently, in Korea's National Fire Safety Codes (NFSC), fire alarm methods are compulsorily applied differently depending on the number of floors and total floor area of a building. Although the growth rate is getting faster due to the diversification of building structures, it is still an obstacle to improving evacuation safety to comply with the standardized fire alarm method in NFSC. As a result of the experiment, the evacuation time was found to be faster with the priority alarm method for the four floors above than the priority alarm method applied to the specific firefighting object. Compared to the priority alarm method applied to the tourist hotel, which is a specific firefighting target with 5 or more floors and a total floor area of more than 3,000m2, the time was shortened by 3.7 seconds when measured by applying the priority alarm method for the four floors directly above. This indicates that it is necessary to take measures to select a fire alarm method suitable for the structure and environmental conditions of the building rather than applying the uniform NFSC regulations.

Analyzed in the NFDS, The average number of fires in vinyl temporary buildings is more than 1,000 in annually. And the number of deaths and injuries was around 30 people in every year. According to the National Fire Agency, There are 142,386 vinyl temporary buildings for Agriculture and Fishery, of which 4,720 are residential vinyl temporary buildings in illegally. Model house is subject to regulation in fire-related law. But, even though it's the same temporary building, Vinyl temporary building is not subject to regulation. For this reason, Vinyl temporary buildings are left in the blind spot of fire safety. Therefore, In this study, We propose that amend of Act on installation and management of firefighting systems, make of temporary fire safety controller, develop and apply of alarm system that is connected to a single-alarm smoke dretector, organize and operate volunteer fire brigade of the crop group to prevent and extinguish the fire.

The Korean peninsula has been known as an area that is free of volcanic disasters. However, recent observations and research results of volcanoes in Far East Asia, including Baedu Mountain and Japanese volcanoes, show that the Korean peninsula is no longer a safe area from volcanic disasters. Since 2012, the Korean government has been developing an IT-based construction technology, VDRS (Volcanic Disaster Response System), for effective volcanic disaster response system. The main users of VDRS are public officers in central or local governments. However, most of them have little experience and knowledge about volcanic disasters. Therefore, it is essential to develop education contents and implement training on volcanic disaster response for effective response in a real disaster situation. In this paper, we deal with the development of a mobile application based on virtual reality (VR) for realistic volcanic disaster response training. The objectives of training are the delivery of knowledge and experience for volcanic disasters. First, VR contents were generated based on spatial information. A 3D model was constructed based on a Digital Elevation Model (DEM), and visualization models for meterological effects and various volcanic disaster diffusion effects were implemented for the VR contents. Second, the mobile application for the volcanic disaster response training was implemented. A 12-step story board is proposed for volcanic disaster experience. The application was developed with the Unity3D engine based on the proposed story board to deliver knowledge of various volcanic disasters (volcanic ash, pyroclastic flows, volcanic mudflow etc.). The results of this paper will be used for volcanic disaster response and prevention training and for more realistic training linked with augmented reality technology in the future.
As the urban scale changes and the construction technology develops, the living space is being expanded in three dimensions. However, despite the development of construction technology represented by the appearance of skyscrapers, damage to high - rise buildings with dense population can be rather high. In order to solve such a situation, digital twin technology that can control and predict the real world in real time can be an alternative, and it is necessary to utilize pre-constructed spatial information actively. Therefore, this study aims to provide a standardized data model for using existing such information as well as various information produced in the future to the building disaster prevention field. To this end, we developed a data model that extends the CityGML standard, a representative city information model, to disaster prevention.
