  • Waterproofing techniques used in underground structures do not reflect material and construction environments, but rely only on material properties, which inevitably lead to their limits in durable life. In particular, the government intends to investigate the current underground water treatment method and analyze the problems in order to prevent serious corrosion and aging of structures caused by underground water leaks and poor construction.

  • This study evaluated the crack reduction characteristics of concrete by type of fiber reinforced concrete. As a result of the experiment, it was shown that the fluidity decreased due to the mixing of the fiber reinforcing material. The higher the amount of fiber reinforced material used, the higher the decrease in fluidity. It was confirmed that the tensile strength was improved by the mixing of the fiber reinforcing material. The selection of fiber reinforcement has a great influence on the crack reduction effect.

  • To measure the effect of the stress-strain dispersion across the installed waterproofing layer on the concrete surface, a strain gauge was attached to the gap between the waterproofing layer and the concrete structure at specified points of upper, center and bottom of the load-displacement simulation specimen, and the peak stress-strain at the displacement interface were measured and compared with stress-strain at other areas to analyze each material types' stress-strain dispersion ratio properties. Based on the results of the testing, it was shown that materials with high load-displacement resistance performance accordingly had high stress-strain dispersion ratio results, and the materials from highest performance to lowest performance were; CAS, SAS, PUC and CSC.

  • Conventionally, in material management at a construction site, the type, size, and quantity of materials are identified by the eyes of the worker. Labor-intensive material management by manpower is slow, requires a lot of manpower, is prone to errors, and has limitations in that computerization of information on the identified types and quantities is additionally required. Therefore, a method that can quickly and accurately determine the type, size, and quantity of materials with a minimum number of workers is required to reduce labor costs at the construction site and improve work efficiency. In this study, we developed an automated convolution neural network(CNN) and computer vision technology-based rebar size and quantity estimation system that can quickly and accurately determine the type, size, and quantity of materials through images.

  • Now, the world is increasingly anxious about fine dust due to abnormal temperatures caused by global warming and increased yellow dust caused by desertification, and the World Health Organization (WHO) pointed out that more than 99% of the world's population is exposed to fine dust. In this situation, the reduction rate of fine dust and carbon dioxide of the matrix was tested by using expanded graphite, an eco-friendly and porous material, to improve air quality. As a result of the test, since expanded graphite is a material that expands between layers compared to conventional graphite, the reduction rate of fine dust and carbon dioxide decreases as the replacement rate of expanded graphite increases.

  • Although concrete is a material widely used in the construction industry, it is very vulnerable to cracking and has a disadvantage in that durability deteriorates when cracks occur. When cracks occur, harmful factors are introduced through the micro-cracks of the structure, reducing durability. Therefore, in this study, as part of a study to alleviate the problems of maintenance and durability deterioration due to cracks in concrete structures, the mechanical properties of self-healing mortar according to the size of the capsule made of cement material were reviewed.

  • This study examined the curing temperature of concrete with a photothermal insulation sheet to shorten the curing time of concrete as part of construction cost and period reduction. According to the experiment results, the heating performance effect is confirmed through the temperature difference between photothermal insulation sheet and bubble sheet. And it has a high curing temperature in the order of bubble sheet (photo heating material B) > bubble sheet (photo heating material A) > bubble sheet on same layers.

  • Mortar feedstock is extruded to form bead and it is selectively placed line by line in the material extrusion additive manufacturing. With respects to part building process healthiness, load-supporting ability of overlaid beads is emphasized as buildability. Buildability is primarily dependent on thixotropic properties of feedstock and vertical overlapping schedule. In the present study, water-to-binder (w/b) ratio was chosen as material aspect to assess buildability. Uneven bead shape evolution and premature failure were highlighted owing to low yield stress of high w/b ratio feedstock. Feedstock with optimum w/b ratio showed good buildability even at the interval time of 19 sec.

  • 본 논문은 화력발전소 부산물인 저회를 뒤채움재로 활용하고자 열저항 특성에 대한 연구내용을 다루었다. 석탄회의 일종인 저회는 공학적 특성이 모래와 유사하여 모래 대체재로 사용 가능하다. 그러나 열적 특성을 무시한 무분별한 적용은 오히려 기존 구조물에 악영향을 미칠 수 있기 때문에 이에 대한 신중한 선택이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 저회의 열전도도를 확인하기 위해 실내시험을 실시하였으며, 뒤채움재로 활용될 수 있는 현장유용토, 성토재료, 모래 등과 열저항 특성에 대하여 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 이들 재료들의 열저항 특성이 함수비에 따라 큰 영향을 미칠 수 있어 이에 대해 분석을 실시하였고 저회가 뒤채움재로 유효 활용될 수 있도록 방안을 제시하였다.

  • 차수용 박층 멤브레인은 폴리머로 구성된 재료로 기존 방수포(sheet membrane)를 대체할 수 있는 뿜어 붙이는 방식의 차수 재료이다. 시공에 있어서 뿜어 붙이는 방식을 사용하기 때문에 타설이 용이하고 상대적으로 높은 부착성능을 보인다. 차수용 박층 멤브레인의 배합은 영구 지보재로 쓰이는 TSL(Thin Spray-on Liner)와 매우 유사한 구성을 갖으나 적용 목적에 따라 차수와 지보재로 구분하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 차수용 박층 멤브레인의 차수 성능을 확보한 상태에서 구조적인 성능을 보강할 수 있도록 배합비를 조절하였다. 이를 검토하기 위해, 영구 지보재용 멤브레인 재료에 사용되는 성능 기준에 따라 시험을 수행하고 결과를 검토하였다. 시험결과 본 연구에서 고려한 차수용 박층 멤브레인의 구조적 성능은 영구 지보재로도 사용이 가능한 정도의 성능을 보였다.
