FLOODING PSA BY CONSIDERING THE OPERATING EXPERIENCE DATA OF KOREAN PWRs

  • The existing flooding Probabilistic Safety Analysis(PSA) was updated to reflect the Korean plant specific operating experience data into the flooding frequency to improve the PSA quality. Both the Nuclear Power Experience(NPE) database and the Korea Nuclear Pipe Failure Database(NuPIPE) databases were used in this study, and from these databases, only the Pressurized Water Reactor(PWR) data were used for the flooding frequencies of the flooding areas in the primary auxiliary building. With these databases and a Bayesian method, the flooding frequencies for the flooding areas were estimated. Subsequently, the Core Damage Frequency(CDF) for the flooding PSA of the Ulchin(UCN) unit 3 and 4 plants based on the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant(KSNP) internal full-power PSA model was recalculated. The evaluation results showed that sixteen flooding events are potentially significant according to the screening criterion, while there were two flooding events exceeding the screening criterion of the existing UCN 3 and 4 flooding PSA. The result was compared with two kinds of cases: (1) the flooding frequency and CDF from the method of the existing flooding PSA with the PWR and Boiled Water Reactor(BWR) data of the NPE database and the Maximum Likelihood Estimate(MLE) method and (2) the flooding frequency and CDF with the NPE database(PWR and BWR data), NuPIPE database, and a Bayesian method. From the comparison, a difference in CDF results was revealed more clearly between the CDF from this study and case (2) than between case (1) and case (2). That is, the number of flooding events exceeding the screen criterion further increased when only the PWR data were used for the primary auxiliary building than when the Korean specific data were used.

북한지역 국토이용 DB 구축 연구 (A Study on Building Database for Territorial Use of the North Korea)

  • 최근 들어 남북한은 경협을 중심으로 교류가 활발히 추진되고 있다. 도로철도 연결, 공단개발 등과 같은 남북한 협력사업이 실효를 거두기 위해서는 북한지역의 지형지물과 같은 물리적인 지리정보와 토지이용현황 등에 관한 기초자료를 구축해야 한다. 따라서 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위해 북한지역의 국토이용 현황을 파악할 수 있는 자료의 구축방법에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문은 이러한 요구를 만족시키고자 북한지역의 국토이용 현황을 파악할 수 있는 데이터베이스를 실험적으로 구축하고, 이를 통하여 절차와 과정을 구체화하였다. 북한지역의 국토이용 현황을 파악하는데 도움이 되는 지형도, 위성영상, 주제도 등 모든 종류의 가용자료를 수집 활용하였다. 이렇게 수집된 데이터는 스캐닝, 위성영상처리, 토지피복분류 등 적합한 처리과정을 통해 데이터베이스로 구축하였다. 또한 기존 자료를 DB화 하는데 그치지 않고 구축한 데이터베이스를 이용하여 벡터형태의 지리정보를 추출하여 데이터베이스에 추가하여 정성적, 정량적인 북한지역 국토이용현황조사가 가능하도록 하였다.

Analysis of Energy Performance and Green Strategies in the Foreign High-Performance Buildings

  • Purpose: In this study, we analyzed the energy performance levels and high-performance technology trends through the case studies of foreign high-performance buildings. Method: Buildings built within 10 years were selected for the analysis of recent trends. we analyzed the buildings of U.S.A, Germany and Japan using LEED certified buildings, Passive House certified buildings and CASBEE certified buildings database for the case study of foreign high-performance buildings. A total of 20 high-performance buildings including 14 cases in U.S.A, 4 cases in Germany and 4 cases in Japan were selected. Annual energy consumption levels for 20 high-performance buildings were collected with the actual energy consumption data or data from simulation programs officially recognized by DOE. Annual energy consumption were compared with the energy performance standard of the office buildings in the CBECS database, ASHRAE Standard 90.1-2004 and Building Energy Efficiency Rating System in Korea. Result: The order of the green strategies applied in the main categories are Renewable Energy(63%), Indoor Environment Control(51%), Envelope Improvement(44%) and HVAC System & Control(28%). Specified strategies most widely used in the sub-categories are high-performance Insulation (70%), High Efficiency Heating, Cooling Source Equipment(85%), Photovoltaic&Solar Thermal(80%) and Daylighting(80%).

GIS 표준 웹 서비스 적용을 위한 3차원 실내모델의 효율적 시각화 (Effective 3D Inner Model Visualization for GIS Web Service)

  • 건물의 형태가 고층화되고 대규모의 복합공간을 이루게 되면서 건물의 실내공간은 더욱 복잡하고 다양한 활동들이 일어나는 공간으로 새롭게 인식되고 있기 때문에, 실내공간을 3차원으로 모델링하여 위치정보를 기반으로 다양한 분야에서 활용될 수 있도록 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 GIS 표준 웹서비스 기술과 3차원 시각화 기술을 화재 대피 시설물 관리 상권 분석과 같은 건물과 관련된 어플리케이션에 활용하여 효율적인 의사결정을 내릴 수 있도록 3차원 실내모델의 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다. GIS 표준 웹 서비스를 활용하여 건물정보를 공유할 수 있도록 건물의 3차원 실내공간을 효율적으로 모델링하고 시각화하기 위한 방안을 제시하기 위해 실내모델의 다양한 구성요소들을 분할하여 모델링 된 공간데이터베이스의 지정된 데이터테이블에 저장하고, 각각을 GIS 웹 서버를 이용하여 웹서비스 할 수 있도록 설정하였다. 3차원 그래픽 렌더링 엔진을 이용하여 GIS 웹서비스로 전달되는 실내모델을 동적으로 재구성함으로써 효율적으로 3차원 시각화할 수 있는 모듈을 개발하여 다양한 어플리케이션에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다.

공간정보를 중심으로 재구성한 BIM 기반 형상정보의 자동추출 및 데이터베이스 구축 모듈 개발 (The development of module for automatic extraction and database construction of BIM based shape-information reconstructed on spatial information)

  • In this paper, in order to maximize the input process efficiency of the building energy simulation field, the authors developed the automatic extraction module of spatial information based BIM geometry information. Existing research or software extracts geometry information based on object information, but it can not be used in the field of energy simulation because it is inconsistent with the geometry information of the object constituting the thermal zone of the actual building model. Especially, IFC-based geometry information extraction module is needed to link with other architectural fields from the viewpoint of reuse of building information. The study method is as follows. (1) Grasp the category and attribute information to be extracted for energy simulation and Analyze the IFC structure based on spatial information (2) Design the algorithm for extracting and reprocessing information for energy simulation from IFC file (use programming language Phython) (3) Develop the module that generates a geometry information database based on spatial information using reprocessed information (4) Verify the accuracy of the development module. In this paper, the reprocessed information can be directly used for energy simulation and it can be widely used regardless of the kind of energy simulation software because it is provided in database format. Therefore, it is expected that the energy simulation process efficiency in actual practice can be maximized.

  • General concepts and overall procedures of interactive graphical user interface, a preand post- processor, for building analysis are introduced. Attention is forcused on the data structures and the modeling operators which can ensure the intergrity of its database should have. An example of model building process is presented to illustrate its capability, its facilities for modifying, and for processing.

  • Accurate construction progress measurement is an important issue for successful project delivery. This paper presents a method that keeps track of the progress measurement involved in construction operations and facilities visualization of the data using BIM and IOT. To verify the method, a residential house project was used for the case study. Test case verifies the usability and validity of the method implemented in the system.

  • A quality assurance safety assessment database, called QUARK (QUality Assurance Program for Radioactive Waste Management in Korea), has been developed to manage both analysis information and parameter database for safety assessment of low- and intermediate-level radioactive waste (LILW) disposal facility in Korea. QUARK is such a tool that serves QA purposes for managing safety assessment information properly and securely. In QUARK, the information is organized and linked to maximize the integrity of information and traceability. QUARK provides guidance to conduct safety assessment analysis, from scenario generation to result analysis, and provides a window to inspect and trace previous safety assessment analysis and parameter values. QUARK also provides default database for safety assessment staff who construct input data files using SAGE(Safety Assessment Groundwater Evaluation), a safety assessment computer code.

  • 현재 행정부서 지적계에서는 문서취급을 위한 데이타베이스만을 구축하고 있고, 그 외의 공시지가를 산정하기 위한 사항들은 직접 현장을 답사하여 기록하고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구에서는 1개동을 모델 지역으로 선정하여 도형요소와 속성요소를 함께 처리하여 현황파악 뿐만 아니라 데이타베이스로 함께 볼 수 있도록 프로그램화하였다. 도형요소와 속성요소의 연결은 AutoCAD에서 만들었고 데이터베이스 구축시 AutoCAD 상에서의 한계로 인하여 독자적인 데이타베이스를 Clipper로 구축하여 AutoCAD와 Clipper의 데이타베이스를 AutoCAD의 메뉴파일에서 처리하여 연결하였다.
