  • The Intrsuion Detecion Systems(IDS) are required the accuracy, the adaptability, and the expansion in the information society to be changed quickly. Also, it is required the more structured, and intelligent IDS to protect the resource which is important and maintains a secret in the complicated network environment. The research has the purpose to build the model for the intelligent IDS, which creates the intrusion patterns. The intrusion pattern has extracted from the vast amount of data. To manage the large size of data accurately and efficiently, the link analysis and sequence analysis among the data mining techniqes are used to build the model creating the intrusion patterns. The model is consist of "Time based Traffic Model", "Host based Traffic Model", and "Content Model", which is produced the different intrusion patterns with each model. The model can be created the stable patterns efficiently. That is, we can build the intrusion detection model based on the intelligent systems. The rules prodeuced by the model become the rule to be represented the intrusion data, and classify the normal and abnormal users. The data to be used are KDD audit data.

  • There is not yet an universal method of electron dosimetry. The Authors measured dose distributions of the electron beams from Clinac-18 by means of silicon detector connected to X-Y recorder, and compared them in water phantom with dose distributions measured by film and ion chamber, both inserted in polystyrene phantom. The results are as followings, 1. Dose in build-up region increased with the field size for all energy, and depth dose profiles of $6{\sim}12MeV$ beam under the depth of maximum dose were independent of field size, but those of 15 and 18 MeV beam were dependent on the field size. 2. The widths of penumbra by semiconductor detector were narrower than those by film for same energy beam. 3. Depth dose profiles by three different dosimeter did not coincide each other. In the build-up region, dose by semiconductor detector was lower than that by any other dosimeter.

  • The field size can be beam output, therefore MonitorUnit can be varied due to field size dependence The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the dose variation according to exchange of collimator The measurements were perfomed with Wellhofer dosimetry system(water phantom. ion chamber. electrometer. system controller. build up cap. etc)and two types of linear accerlerator (Mevatron KD, MevatronMX) Scatter can be affected to field size dependence and scatter correction is separated into collimator and phantom components, scatter components can affect by exchanging of collimator Measurements of collimator scatter factor(Sc) was done in air with build up cap. 1)Square field (5cm2 to 40cm2) was measured 2)and then keeping the upper jaw constant at loom and varing lower jaw from 5cm to 40cm, 3)keeping the lower jaw constant at 10cm and varing upper jaw from 5cm to 40cm Measurements of total scatter factor(Scp) was done in water at Dmax as the procedure of collimator scatter factor measurements in water Dmax The total scatter factors were obtained to the following equation(Sp=Scp/Sc) The measured data is normalized to the data of reference field size($10{\times}10$), rectangular field is inverted to equivalent field to compare three field size data As the collimator setting is varied, the output was changed In conclusion, the error was obtained small but it must be eliminated if we intend to reach the common stated goal of $5\%$ overall uncertainty in dose determination

  • The size of leisure space has been determined on the basis of the annual and peak day's number of visitor, turnover rate, and size per visitor. But the past models have no theoretical base and practical errors on the many cases. So, this study was carried out to build and test a new theoretical model for selecting a optimal size of theme park. The basic concept of the model building is the break-even point analysis of cost-volume-profit relation. That is, Gain-Loss of theme park is determined by marginal profit and fixed cost by size. YongIn Farmland was selected as a model test case.

  • Burrs always come out with the machining of ducterial with small size. Though the size of burrs is small, burrs dominate deterioration of the accuracy of the micro grooves. So the burr generation model especially side burr generation model was investigated to predict the size of the burrs at the given cutting conditions. The side shear plane is introduced to build the burr generation model and the width of side shear plane nomalized with cutting depth is defined with the shear angle. From the theoretical observation, the width of side shear plane can vary up 40% of the cutting depth. To determine the size of burr and stiffness, single groovings were carried out and it was found that there exist a critical depth of cut that the size or stiffness of the burr vary.

  • Recently, the terms of the 4th Industrial Revolution and the Smart Factory are often heard through news and media. But most of the companies that are parties are not interested. Because there is no specific guidance on how to build Smart Factory and information about Smart Factory. The built of the Smart Factory should be carried out in accordance with the size of the company considering the purpose of the introduction. In the existing study, they analyzed successful cases of building Smart Factory in Korea As a result, in the case of large-size firms, it is an effective strategy that expanding from a model factory to whole factory for successful Smart Factory building. In addition, in the case of medium and small-size firms, it is an effective strategy that upgrading from low-level step to high-level step for successful Smart Factory building. In this study, selecting medium and small-size firms, and bottleneck section and processes requiring improvement are identified through 3D virtual process design, and then install sensors. Finally, after analyzing the data collected through the sensor, we will improve the process and build Smart Factory with improved productivity.

  • This study aims to compare the model power in developing corporate credit rating models and to suggest a good way to build models based on the characteristic of data. Among many measurement methods, AR is used to measure the model power under various conditions. SAS/MACRO is in use for similar repetitions to reduce time to build models under several combination of conditions. A corporate credit rating model is composed of two sub-models; a credit scoring model and a default prediction model. We verify that the latter performs better than the former under various conditions. From the result of size comparisons, models of large size corporate are more powerful and more meaningful in financial viewpoint than those of small size corporate. As a corporate size gets smaller, the gap between sub-models becomes huge and the effect of outliers becomes serious.

  • The microstructures and mechanical properties of Co-29Cr-6Mo alloy with C and N additions, produced by additive manufacturing using electron beam melting (EBM) method, were studied using X-ray diffraction, electron back scatter diffraction, transmission electron microscope, Vickers hardness tests, and tensile tests, focusing on the influences on the build direction and the various heat treatments after build. It is found that the microstructures for the as built specimens were changed from columnar to equiaxed grain structure with average grain size of approximately $10-20{\mu}m$ due to the heat treatment employing the reverse transformation from a lamellar (hcp + $Cr_2N$) phase to an fcc. Our results will contribute to the development of biomedical Ni-free Co-Cr-Mo-N-C alloys, produced by EBM method, with refined grain size and good mechanical properties, without requiring any hot workings.

  • Almost all buildings/infrastructures made of composite materials are fabricated without proper design. Unlike airplane or automobile parts, prototype test is impossible. One cannot destroy 10 story buildings or 100-meter long bridges. People try to build 100-story buildings or several thousand meter long bridges. In order to realize "composites in construction", the following subjects must be studied in detail, for his design. Concept optimization, Simple method of analysis, Folded plate theory, Size effects in failure, and Critical frequency. Unlike the design procedure with conventional materials, his design should include material design, selection of manufacturing methods, and quality control methods, in addition to the fabrication method. In this paper size/scale effects in failure criteria is briefly explained for practicing engineers.engineers.

  • Captions include information which relates to the images. In order to obtain the information in the captions, text extraction methods from images have been developed. However, most existing methods can be applied to captions with a fixed height or stroke width using fixed pixel-size or block-size operators which are derived from morphological supposition. We propose an edge connected components based method that can extract Korean captions that are composed of various sizes and fonts. We analyze the properties of edge connected components embedding captions and build a decision tree which discriminates edge connected components which include captions from ones which do not. The images for the experiment are collected from broadcast programs such as documentaries and news programs which include captions with various heights and fonts. We evaluate our proposed method by comparing the performance of the latent caption area extraction. The experiment shows that the proposed method can efficiently extract various sizes of Korean captions.
