Mechanical Properties of Polypropylene/Recycled Rubber Blends

  • Mechanical properties of polypropylene filled with recycled rubber dusts obtained from the buffing process in sport shoe sole manufacture were investigated. The use of these dusts eliminates the need for the size reduction process which is usually employed in rubber recycling. Two different waxes, polypropylene wax and ethylene vinyl acetate wax, were used in the PP/rubber dust compound. Two different processes, extrusion and injection moulding, were used to study the influence of the blends on the properties. The waxes gave significant improvement in the shaping of the extrudate. It was found that the impact strength of the injection moulded samples were higher than the extruded samples and the virgin PP. The tensile properties (yield stress and modulus) were dependent on the amount of rubber dust addition. An increase in the rubber dust loading gave lower yield stress and modulus.

  • In this paper, a CMOS Operational Transconductance Amplifier (OTA) which is used for high-frequency operation has been designed and simulated by SPICE 2G program. To increase input linear range, the input stage is designed by cross-coupled pair. And the output stage insert buffer stage for the buffing and gain. The band-width of designed OTA is $50{\sim}60$ [MHz].

  • Today's environment of enterprise is changing. They have to face customers' demands with the right product, the right service and supply them at the right time. And aIso cut down logistics and inventory cost and bring up the Profit as much as they can. This means the change of putting enterprise first in importance to putting customer first in importance. therefore to correspond to customer's demand, shorting lead time is becoming a essential condition. The answer to this changes of environment is supply chain management In this study, we use Goldratt's drum-buffer-rope scheduling in between manufacturer and supplier. And when shortage of inventory occur, search for the supply chain's CCR. Pressing CCR for more production, and supply Inventory from logistic center to guide for inventory buffing. using logistic warehouse between manufacturer and supplier, can execute function of buffer.

  • AZ31 Mg alloy plate 표면에 대기압 플라즈마 처리, MgO 코팅, 유기단분자막 형성, sol-gel 코팅등의 표면 처리를 한 후 내식성의 변화를 조사하였다. 대기압 플라즈마는 O2, Ar 개스를 사용하여 처리하였고, MgO 코팅은 sputter를 사용하였으며, 유기 단분자막으로는 Octadecyltrimethoxy silane을 기상유기박막 코팅하였으며, sol-gel 코팅은 dipping 방법을 이용하여 샘플을 제작하였다. 마그네슘 판재는 buffing 공정으로 표면 처리된 것을 사용하였으며, 아세톤 및 에탄올을 이용하여 초음파 세척하여 사용하였다. 표면처리된 시험편을 염수분무법으로 내식성을 평가하였으며, sol-gel 코팅 층의 젖음성 특성 및 xps를 이용하여 내식 특성에 미치는 표면 효과를 분석하였다.

해외 충돌안전규정에 따른 유류탱크화차의 비선형충돌해석 연구 (A study on nonlinear crash analysis of railway tankcar according to the overseas crashworthiness regulations)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내 위험물 운송용 탱크화차의 충돌안전설계 가이드라인 제안을 위해 해외 충돌안전 기준에 따른 국내 위험물 운송화차에 대하여 비선형 충돌해석을 하여 위험성을 평가하고, 구조적 취약부를 분석하는데 있다. 유럽의 EN 12663-2에서 규정하는 화차의 완충시험 및 북미 49CFR179에서 규정하는 탱크 펑크시험기준을 분석하였으며, 상용 유한요소 해석 솔버인 LS-DYNA를 이용하여 각각 기준에 따른 비선형 유한요소모델을 모델링하였다. EN 규격의 완충시험 해석결과 충돌속도 6 km/h 이하에서는 소성변형이 발생하지 않을 것으로 예측하였지만, 8 km/h 이상의 충돌속도에서 중앙연결기를 통한 하중 전달으로 차체의 센터실 후방 및 탱크 중앙 지지부에서 소성변형을 확인하였다. 북미 법규의 탱크 펑크시험 해석결과 국내 탱크화차는 두부 충돌모드에서 충돌차량의 운동에너지를 4 % 이상 흡수시 두부의 코너부에서 탱크 외벽의 파괴가 발생하였으며, 측면 충돌모드에서 운동에너지 30 % 이상 흡수시에 충격체가 접촉하는 탱크 외벽의 파괴가 발생하여 내부 적재물의 누출을 예상하였다. 국내 유류 운송용 탱크화차의 해외 충돌안전 기준의 만족을 위해서는 차체 구조보강 설계 및 탱크 방호설계 수준을 향상시킬 필요가 있다.

피니싱 툴 유니트의 에어 임펠러 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design for the Air Impeller of a Finishing Tool Unit)

  • The grinding and furbishing process as the finishing process for molds include the works such as the grinding, buffing, lapping and polishing among others. A finishing tool unit is applied to this finishing process for the burr, lapping, polishing and others of molds. A finishing tool unit can carry out the flexible machining, depending on the machining allowance for objects to be cut on the basis of the instrumental driving mechanism which enables the up, down, left and right floating, which is applied in link with the dedicated cutters and robot machining systems. This study selected the shape to increase the rotatory force of an impeller when air is discharged during the driving of a finishing tool unit, and reflected it to the impeller designing. In addition, the study analyzed each flow velocity and pressure distribution per air pressurization value and finally analyzed the rotating torque to suggest the optimal conditions in designing impellers.

철도안전법과 도시철도안전법을 적용한 도시형 자기부상열차의 충돌안전도 해석 (Crashworthiness Analysis of the Urban Maglev Vehicle according to Korean Railway Safety Law and Urban Transit Safety Law)

  • This paper studied on the application of the crashworthiness regulations of Korean Railway Safety Law and Urban Transit Safety Law to the urban Maglev vehicle of KIMM. The Urban Maglev vehicle has to comply with the crashworthiness regulations for urban transit vehicles. The collision load cases have been simulated by using explicit finite element analysis. From the numerical results, the crashworthiness regulations of the Urban Transit Safety Law were completely satisfied, but maximum crash pulse requirement in 25 km/h crash event and no plastic deformation requirement in 10 km/h crash event in the Korean Railway Safety Law were not. If a commercial urban Maglev vehicle is developed in the near future, it is necessary that some soft buffing and energy absorbing devices are adopted in its front end so as to satisfy the crashworthiness regulations of the Korean Railway Safety Law.

연마성능 제어를 위한 연마패드표면 해석과 개선 (Polishing Pad Analysis and Improvement to Control Performance)

  • In this paper, a polishing pad has been analyzed in detail, to understand surface phenomena of polishing process. The polishing pad plays a key role in polishing process and is one of the important layer in polishing process, because it is a reaction layer of polishing[1]. Pad surface physical property is also ruled by pad profile. The profile and roughness of pad is controlled by different types of conditioning tool. Conditioning tool add mechanical force to pad, and make some roughness and profile. Formed pad surface will affect on polishing performance such as RR (Removal Rate) and uniformity in CMP Pad surface condition is changed by conditioning tool and dummy run and is stable at final. And this research, we want to reduce break-in and dummy polishing process by analysis of pad surface and artificial machining to make stable pad surface. The surface treatment or machining enables to control the surface of polishing pad. Therefore, this research intends to verify the effect of the buffing process on pad surface through analysis of the removal rate, friction force and temperature. In this research, urethane polishing pad which is named IC pad(Nitta-Haas Inc.) and has micro pore structure, is studied because, this type of pad is most conventional type.

수분 밀폐형 컴퓨터시스템(MPC) 개발 - MPC의 성능평가 - (Development of the Moisture Protected Computer - Efficiency Test of the MPC -)

  • The MPC(Moisture Protected Computer) system is completely unique. It was recently invented in Korea and it is a technological break-through in the field of computer systems. It will be instrumental in the development of a complete moisture air-tight capability and will work well in field environments. The MPC includes the following: 1) An enclosed design. 2) Moisture proof computer enclosure joints. 3) System dust protection & an impact buffing system. 4) A normal temperature maintenance system when the temperature inside the computer is low. 5) The ability to generate heat and a radiate system inside the computer 6) An automatic power input sensing controller device. 7) A safety device in case of mis-operation. 8) A proper admission procedure for various tests. Because of the above, and as a result of temperature property experiments, there aren't any operational problems. The result of this treatise could provide very important data for verification of cases involving: using strong materials to protect against explosions, searching for ways to make the size and weight small, and for making repairs easier. As a result, it could achieve price and function competitiveness in advanced countries such as the USA and in Europe.
