Characteristics of Postmodernity in Chinese Animation Films

  • At a specific juncture in industrial development, animation emerges as a product imbued with discernible features characteristic of the mechanical replication era. Through the integration of technology, it continually gives rise to postmodern cultural traits. Notably, the trajectories of postmodernism in China and Western Europe exhibit divergence. Following the reform and opening up, both postmodernism and modernism found acceptance and became interwoven. Chinese animated films, influenced by postmodernism, actively challenge traditional animation norms, exemplifying postmodern characteristics such as deconstruction, intertextuality, indeterminacy, collage, and diversity. This article endeavors to delve into the discourse surrounding postmodernism in both Western and Chinese contexts. It aims to scrutinize the manifestation of postmodern features, particularly with regard to ethnic elements, traditional mythological texts, and gender representations in Chinese animated films. Consequently, it becomes imperative to contemplate the affirmative adaptation and independent development of postmodernism within the unique Chinese milieu. Building upon an analysis of noteworthy traditional animated film genres and developmental trends in China, this study focuses on animated films from the 21st century, specifically Monkey King: Hero is Back, Big Fish & Begonia, Dahufa, White Snake and Nezha: Birth of the Demon Child. The paper seeks to explore the overarching characteristics of postmodernity reflected in the linguistic environment of postmodernism in China.

Unreal Engine Empowering Mythological Theme Film and Television Production-Taking Liaozhai Adaptation Creation as an Example

  • Under the new media era, the film and television post-production technology is changing day by day, in order to explore how to utilize the powerful functions of the Unreal Engine for the production of mythological themes in film and television. This paper in-depth study of the specific functions of the unreal engine on the film and television creation of help, analyze the evolution and development of the creation of mythological themes, put forward the problems it faces. Based on the creation needs of unreal engine and mythological works, this paper uses unreal engine to adapt Lu pan from Liaozai to explore its complete production process, and the production results show that unreal engine greatly improves the quality of the screen and the presentation effect, reduces the cost of the film's production, and improves the collaborative ability of the production team and the ability of creativity. However, the production process still requires high hardware equipment and paid plug-ins for Unreal Engine. We provide the establishment of the process for the combination of Unreal Engine movie and television production and mythological theme re-creation, supplements the production details, and provides suggestions for its further improvement.

Design of Controller for Nonlinear Multivariable System Using Neural Network Sliding Surface (신경망 슬라이딩 곡면을 이용한 비선형 다변수 시스템의 제어기 설계)

  • The variable structure control(VSC) with sliding mode is the discontinuous control law in leads to undesirable chattering in practice. As a method solving this problem, in this paper, we propose a scheme of the VSC with neural network sliding surface. A neural network sliding surface with boundary layer is employed to solve discontinuous control law. The proposed controller can eliminate the chattering problem of the conventional VSC. The effectiveness of the proposed control scheme is verified by simulation results.

  • With the advent of Ubiquitous era, Korean government understood its strategic importance and formulated 'IT839 Strategies' with various action plans not to miss the great opportunities which it may allow and eventually to realize u-Korea. As a result, m-Commerce is actualized and new types of Ubiquitous services such as digital multimedia broadcasting(DMB) and wireless broadband Internet(WiBro) are now on their commercial stages. Digital contents are the key success factors of these new services. Digital contents industry is regarded as next generation of growth engine in the digital economy, because it is knowledge-based and high value-added global industry affecting positively on the whole private and public sectors. This paper reviewed the characteristics, business models, technical and market trend of digital contents to be compatible with Ubiquitous environment. Also, it reviewed the development strategies of DMB and WiBro services, which are newly introduced and commercialized in Korea to make it as world leader in these fields. It may be concluded that Korea should make more efforts to development market-oriented digital contents for Ubiquitous era and to realize the sustained economic growth.

  • Among human intellectual creations, the right granted by law to what is worth protecting is defined as intellectual property rights. Copyright is a legal right to creative finished products made by individuals, and in recent years, this legal right has been recognized as very important. In other words, copyright is a system created to protect the rights of individuals who created creations and to recognize their efforts. Works subject to copyright vary from poetry, thesis, novels to designs, paintings, music, and architecture, and the scope of the subject is gradually expanding. Recently, research has begun on how far the Metaverse design area absorbed into the real world among works. Computer-generated video productions and software program works are also subject to digital copyright protection, but it is also true that the interpretation of the author protection law for works, designs, and trademarks in the virtual world is unclear. This study aims to analyze copyrights based on case studies and theoretical backgrounds on copyright protection and to discuss the protection limitations of Metaverse design in the virtual world. In other words, the direction for the protection of Metaverse design is presented through clear distinction and definition of copyright protection in the tertiary virtual world. This study aims to present methods for design copyright protection in the era of Metaverse, respect copyright holders' creative activities, and develop our culture through protection of creations.

Research Trends Analysis of Domestic Carrier Billing Services using Meta-Analysis (메타분석을 활용한 국내 통신과금 서비스 연구동향 분석)

  • The purpose of this research is to study technical and policy improvements of carrier billing services, which are a developing and growing industry, by adopting a meta-analysis method. Implications were derived from studying 15 years-worth of academic research papers (from 2001 to 2015), by analyzing the trends over a total of 109 such research papers on carrier billing services. First, looking at the characteristics of the main studies of the papers from 2008 to 2009, it papers appeared that dealt with preventing fraudulent transactions and preserving consumer protection. Privacy, policy proposals and studies for new systems were researched from 2010-2012. Service, success factors, damage prevention systems research, law, and institutions were discussed in 2013-2015 mainly. Second, the research showed that the number of carrier billing service studies increased due to social issues(telecommunications billing services deregulation, the emergence smartphones, fraud). Third, in sectorial research results, technology was the focus area of 47 papers (43.1%), the service sector was the focus of 39 pieces (35.8%) and law and policy improvement accounted for 23 pieces (21.1%). The study of technology and service areas was the most active and according to changes in the environment, law and policy improvement were second to most active. This study will contribute to improving relevant institutions and research directions about study trends in carrier billing services.

Quality Improvement Method on Grammatical Errors of Information System Audit Report (정보시스템 감리보고서의 문법적 오류에 대한 품질 향상 방안)

  • Accomplishing information system, techniques, methodology have been studied continuously and give much help to auditors who are using them. Additionally audit report which is the conclusion of accomplishing ISA(information system audit), has law of a basis and phase with ITA/EA Law(Electronic Government Law). This paper is for better quality of ISA report. But it has more errors about sentence and Grammatical structures. In this paper, to achieve quality improvement objectives, it is necessary to recognize the importance of an audit report by investigating on objectives, functionality, structures and usability of a report firstly, and a legal basis, the presence of report next. Several types of audit reports were chosen and the reports errors were divided into several categories and analyzed. After grasping reasons of those errors, the methods for fixing those errors and check-lists model was provided. And based on that foundation, the effectiveness validation about real audit reports was performed. The necessity for efforts to improve the quality of audit reports was emphasized and further research subject(AI Automatic tool) of this paper conclusion. We also expect this paper to be useful for the organization to improve on ISA in the future.

A Study on Possibility of RO as a Local Media (지역매체로서의 중계유선방송(RO)의 가능성에 대한 연구)

  • This study attempted to analyze background and industrial difference of RO and SO. RO was launched for solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting. After solving a problem of terrestrial broadcasting system, RO has played a roll as a local media. On the other hand, SO was launched by government's policy so SO has been protected and brought up by government. Because market of RO and SO is overlap and competitive, RO has been restricted by government for issuing new license and renewal of permission. Presently, environment of media has been changed very dramatically, so various niche media are needed for various customer's needs. In addition, local media are in trouble of playing a role as a public broadcasting service in Korea. Therefore, RO might be a good solution. In this study for the analysis of the user's needs a survey was conducted. This study shows possibility of RO's roll and function as a local media.

Television Food Advertisement: Review and Recommendation (텔레비전 식품 광고에 관한 고찰)

  • Television food advertisement is the most effective way to reach to consumers with food and nutritional informations and affect their eating behavior. Therefore, 218 food commercials were reviewed using video tapes and copies to know the present food product trends, food messages they transmit and define misleading food commercials. Messages were focused on the benefit of health promoting substances they contain, especially for functional food components, fortified nutrients, food safety focused on food additives, convenience and differentiation with other products. Overnutrition on specific nutrients could be expected due to nutrient fortified products and misleading of food commercials were also noted. Regarding trends, guidelines provided by television broadcasting company shoud be fortified in the connection of Food Hygine Law and supervision committe should reinforce the food company to summit data for the approval of their advertisement claims. Nutrition educational spot program shoud be produced and broadcasted for the public to protect the consumer from food faddism in near future.

  • In various areas of the 4th industry, a big issue is software quality enhancement for stability and reliability of the smart software systems. After revising software promotion law at 2020, we must clearly define requirements and separate design parts and implementation parts of an all public software development contracts. In this study, we need to validate whether the final implementation of software is followed by the original design or not. To do this, we consider the design restoration through software visualization based on reverse engineering. Therefore we propose an UML design extraction and visualization method based on reverse engineering. Based on this, we may validate whether it is implemented according to the original design, and how much visualizes and includes the code the internal complexity for improvement of software quality.
