  • Optical communication according to request of technology of communications and optical fiber to be full filed faster communication and pass over transmission capacity limit per unit area, per unit hour appeared, and this optical fiber acts the biggest role to influence performance of optical communication network. Optical fiber(PMF Polarization Maintaining Fiber) is used, and is used by electric field measurement, self-discipline measurement, sensor(Sensor) Department by high definition measure such as thermometry and storehouse component that use because make broad sense status and polarized light information in passageway and union with storehouse integrated circuit etc. that use broad sense interference developing could transmit in state that keep transmitting broad sense plane of polarization is polarized light existence. Also, research is developed by optical fiber for Coherent communication recently.

Analysis of Interference Impact of UWB System on WiBro System (UWB 시스템에 의한 WiBro 시스템에서의 간섭영향에 관한 연구)

  • This paper presents the impacts of Ultra Wide-Band(UWB) system applied in Indoor and Handhold communications using frequency band from 3.1 GHz to 10.6 GHz on Wireless Broad-band(WiBro) system based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) using frequency of 2.3 GHz. The Minimum Coupling Loss(MCL) method for the case of single interference and Monte Carlo(MC) simulation for multiple interference considering practical scenario were used to evaluate the interference effects of UWB system on WiBro system. As a result, the minimum separation distance between single interferer and the victim receiver required 34.4 m and above to guarantee the co-existence. Also, the UWB transmitting PSD of around - 81 dBm / MHz below should be required to meet the minimum throughput loss of WiBro mobile station in case of multiple UWB interference.

CELLULAR/DCS/US-PCS Triple-Band Internal Antenna with a Novel Feeding Structure

  • This paper presents a novel feeding structure of the triple-band internal antenna which covers CELLVLAR/DCS/US-PCS bands. The proposed antenna consists of a U-slot patch radiator with a shorting post connected with ground plane and symmetric feeding lines with respective a feeding and shorting posts on both faces of the fixed FR-4 substrate. Through the simulation and experimental results, the proposed antenna is confirmed to have the features of less interference with a human head/body, broad bandwidth, desirable radiation patterns and efficiency for triple-band applications.

  • Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR) satellite system for broad-area imaging has RF systems including SAR radiating a high power, data link system transmitting the acquired image data from the SAR, TC&R(Telemetry, Command, and Ranging) to communicate with a ground segment to control a satellite. Each system transmits RF signal having various frequencies and radiates a high power, RS(Radiated Susceptibility) specification should be verified at an electronic unit mounted in satellite. RF interference can be happened because of non-linearity of a RF system. Therefore, we manufactured a structure model installed antennas which have a similar pattern with a real antenna, the effect by RF interference is analyzed and verified.

  • It is necessary to apply SSB modulation method with high bandwidth efficiency to the DS-CDMA mobile communication systems in order to accommodate the increasing number of voice users as well as the broad band and high data rate service in the future. Even though the bandwidth efficiency increases if SSB modulation is applied to BPSK-DS/CDMA, its performance gets degraded because of the increased multiple access interference. Therefore for eliminating the increased multiple access interference, the SSB/BPSK-DS/CDMA with successive interference canceller(SIC) is proposed and its performance and capacity are analyzed. With the limited system bandwidth, it is shown that the SSB/BPSK-DS/CDMA with SIC can accommodate more capacity than the conventional BPSK-DS/CDMA with SIC.

  • Broad band and wide area satellite communication has advantage that can be always communicate with anyone regardless of time and space. In the other hands, its communication quality is easy to be affected by interference signals. Due to the fact that interference signal can be transmitted from everywhere, it's hard to find the illegal source of signal and it has huge influence. In this paper, with this influence of interference signal, we introduce the interference rejection method, implementation and test result in the digital satellite communication processing the signal using variety of digital method. It will be useful information to improve the interference rejection function and also be helpful on the field of satellite communication.

  • A bandwidth and power efficient high speed ubiquitous sensor network(USN) for realizing a ubiquitous society is a great challenge for researcher community. In this paper we incorporate a cooperative transmission protocol within a special type of multi-code modulation to meet these requirements. Multi-code(Mc) modulation has been developed for high-speed data transmission over wireless channels. We proposed a new class of orthogonal codes for multi-code modulation which is an orthogonal subset of orthogonal codes(OSOC). Our proposed OSOC structure allows us to use only one relay to cooperate M nodes that effectively reduces the bandwidth and power requirement. This protocol is similar to spread-spectrum(SS) technique that can reduce both broad and narrow band jamming.

  • In this paper, a method for synthesizing the linear antenna array patterns with broad nulls(BN) at the interference directions is newly presented. Opposit to the conventional methods in which the weights of array elements are optimized for BN control, this method simplifies the control process for multiple BN directions and widths by optimally perturbing the zero positions inherent to Schelkunoff polynomial transformed from the array factor. It is also shown that this method can be easily applicable to the phased array antennas. The proposed scheme is numerically verified by substituting the extracted complex weights into the array factor.

  • OFDM Transmission system can effectively reduce ISI(Inter Symbol Interference) caused by multipath fading, especially in the case of broad band data transmission. Nevertheless, the delayed waves existing in a symbol degrade the transmission Performance at the receiver. Therefore when OFDM transmission system applies to mobile radio communication system, we have to remove the influence without intricacy. This paper proposes and design a new scheme in order to estimate propagation characteristics using the characteristics of distinctive OFDM signal which is inserted pilot signal periodically in frequency axis before IFFT at the transmitter Moreover, we introduce a cancellation scheme of delayed signal on the basis of the proposed estimation technique. Using these schemes, it is possible to estimate and cancel the Interference of the delayed signal before FFT at the receiver.

Single Exposure Imaging of Talbot Carpets and Resolution Characterization of Detectors for Micro- and Nano- Patterns

  • In this paper, we demonstrate a self-imaging technique that can visualize longitudinal interference patterns behind periodically-structured objects, which is often referred to as Talbot carpet. Talbot carpet is of great interest due to ever-decreasing scale of interference features. We demonstrate experimentally that Talbot carpets can be imaged in a single exposure configuration revealing a broad spectrum of multi-scale features. We have performed rigorous diffraction simulations for showing that Talbot carpet print can produce ever-decreasing structures down to limits set by mask feature sizes. This demonstrates that large-scale pattern masks may be used for direct printing of features with substantially smaller scales. This approach is also useful for characterization of image sensors and recording media.
