고속철도 교량상판의 온도신축작용이 궤도처짐에 미치는 영향과 대책에 관한 연구 (The Effect and Countermeasures of The Vertical Track Settlement Caused by Expand and Contract Behavior of the High-Speed Railway Bridge Girder)

  • According to continuos welded rails on a bridge, temperature changes bring about the expansion of the bridge deck adding axil forces on the track. Moreover, the ballast on the bridge deck expansion joint is moved due to the bridge deck. If bridge decks are longer, the influence is greater, loosening ballast, causing track irregularities, and deteriorating passengers' comfort. Considering structure of bridge itself and tolerance of track irregularities caused by the loosened ballast on bridges, the maximum length of a deck should be less than 80m, which is the same as the standard of the French railway. In this study, an interaction between the expansion related to the bridge length and irregularity in longitudinal level referring to measurements and maintenance works performed in the high-speed railways was analyzed. This research shows that installation of sliding plate or vertical ballast stopper is not a good option since it is difficult to install. On the other hand, installation of movable fastener or gluing is easy but its influence is insignificant. To conclude, switch tie tamping or manual tamping is more effective than others.

방진궤도시스템 적용에 따른 강철도 무도상 판형교의 거동 분석 (A Behavior Analysis of Railway Steel Plate Girder Bridge in the applying Resilient Panel Track system)

  • The major objective of this study is to investigate the effects and application of improvement for railway steel plate girder bridge by resilient panel track system. It analyzed the mechanical behaviors of steel plate girder bridge with applying resilient panel track system on the finite element analysis and laboratory test for static & dynamic characteristics. As a result, the improvement of steel plate girder bridge with resilient panel track systems are obviously effective for the static & dynamic response which is non-ballast steel plate girder bridge. The analytical and experimental study are carried out to investigate resilient panel track system decrease vertical acceleration and deflection on steel plate girder bridge for serviceability. And the resilient panel track system reduced dynamic maximum displacements(about 59%) and stresses(about 82%), the increase of dynamic safety is predicted by adopting resilient panel track system. From the dynamic test results of steel plate girder bridge, it is investigated that vertical acceleration and deflection is very low with applying resilient panel track system. The servicing steel plate girder bridge with resilient panel track system has need of the reasonable improvement measures which could be reducing the effect of static and dynamic behavior that degradation phenomenon of structure by an unusual response characteristic and a drop durability.

Performance evaluation of in-service open web girder steel railway bridge through full scale experimental investigations

  • Civil infrastructures, such as bridges and tunnels are most important assets and their failure during service will have significant economic and social impact in any country. Behavior of a bridge can be evaluated only through actual monitoring/measurements of bridge members under the loads of interest. Theoretical analysis alone is not a good predictor of the ability of a bridge. In some cases, theoretical analyses can give less effect than actual since theoretical analyses do not consider the actual condition of the bridge, support conditions, level of corrosion and damage in members and connections etc. Hence actual measurements of bridge response should be considered in making decisions on structural integrity, especially in cases of high value bridges (large spans and major crossings). This paper describes in detail the experimental investigations carried out on an open web type steel railway bridge. Strain gages and displacement transducers were installed at critical locations and responses were measured during passage of locomotives. Stresses were evaluated and extrapolated to maximum design loading. The responses measured from the bridge were within the permissible limits. The methodology adopted shall be used for assessing the structural integrity of the bridge for the design loads.

대학생들을 대상으로 한 슬링을 이용한 교각운동이 큰볼기근과 척추세움근 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Bridge Exercise Using Sling on Muscle Activation of Gluteal Maximus and Elector Spine in College Student)

  • Background: This study demonstrate the effect of bridge exercise using sling device on the improvement of gluteal maximus and elector Spine EMG (electromyogram) in college student. Methods: 30 college students participated in this experiment and received bridge exercise using sling device for 30 minutes a day for four weeks. Results: The effects of bridge exercise using sling device were evaluated by measuring the muscle activation on gluteal maximus and elector spine. The differences between pre-test and post-test in G-max (p<.05) and right elector spine (p<.05) were significant. The difference between in G-max left and right side was not significant both before (p<.05) and after (p<.05) bridge exercise using sling. The difference between in elector spine left and right side was not significant before bridge exercise using sling (p<.05) but after bridge exercise using sling (p<.05). Conclusion: The results indicated that bridge exercise using sling device improved gluteal maximus and elector spine EMG. This study demonstrated the effectiveness of this new approach and provided a good guide to improve gluteal maximus and elector spine EMG.

The Effects of Bridge Exercise with One Hip Joint Adduction on Trunk Muscle Thickness

  • Purpose: This study aimed to verify the effects of bridge exercise with resistance to one hip joint adductor muscle on the thickness of external and internal oblique abdominal muscles, transversus abdominis muscle, and erector spinae muscle. Methods: The subjects were divided into two exercise groups: 15 for Bridge Exercise Group (BEG) and 15 for One Hip joint Adduction Bridge Exercise Group (OHABEG). The study used an ultrasonic instrument to measure trunk muscle thickness. OHABEG performed a bridge exercise with one hip Joint adduction. BEG performed a bridge exercise without resistance. Results: The external oblique abdominal, internal oblique abdominal, and the transversus abdominis muscles showed a significant increase by period and time in intra-group interactions (p<0.05), while there was no significant difference in inter-group changes (p>0.05). The erector spinae muscle had a significant increase in each period (p<0.05) but no significant difference in time, intra-group interactions, and in inter-group changes (p>0.05). Conclusion: These results demonstrated that bridge exercise with one hip joint adduction had positive effects on trunk muscle thickness. These results confirm that a bridge exercise with one hip joint adduction has a positive effect on the muscle thickness of trunk, suggesting the possibility of using it as a rehabilitation treatment for a lumbar stabilization exercise and as a basic data.

가교일자리에서의 근로가 베이비부머의 결혼만족도 변화에 미치는 영향 (Bridge Employment and Changes in Marital Satisfaction among Korean Baby Boomers)

  • 본 연구는 가교일자리에서의 근로가 베이비부머의 결혼만족도의 변화에 어떠한 영향을 미치며, 그 과정에서 일자리 특성의 변화가 매개역할을 하는가를 검증하였다. 구체적으로 본 연구는 '한국 베이비부머 패널 조사' 1-3차년도(2010-2014년) 자료를 활용하여 다변량 잠재성장모형의 분석을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 생애주된일자리에서 가교일자리로 이동하는 것은 근로소득의 변화율을 매개로 하여 결혼만족도의 변화율에 부적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 1-3차년도 사이에 가교일자리로 이동한 베이비부머의 근로소득이 현저히 감소하였고, 그로 인해 생애주된일자리를 유지한 자에 비하여 결혼만족도가 보다 완만하게 상승하는 효과가 있었다. 반면에, 가교일자리에서 근로를 지속하는 것은 직업몰입의 변화율을 매개로 하여 결혼만족도의 변화율에 정적인 영향을 미쳤다. 즉, 1차년도에 이미 가교일자리에서 일하고 있었으며 이후 가교일자리에서 계속 일한 경우에는 생애주된일자리를 유지한 경우에 비하여 직업몰입이 더 가파르게 상승하였고, 그로 인해 결혼만족도가 더 가파르게 높아졌다. 본 연구결과는 부부관계를 재정립하는 중년기에 생애주된일자리에서 가교일자리로 이동하는 것이 생애주된일자리를 유지하는 것에 비하여 결혼만족도의 상승을 저해하는 효과가 있으나, 그 효과가 지속되지는 않음을 시사한다. 또한 본 연구는 가교일자리에서의 근로가 결혼만족도의 변화에 영향을 미치는 메커니즘을 실증적으로 분석하였다는 의의를 갖는다. 후속연구에서는 가교일자리로의 이동 시의 소득감소가 결혼만족도의 변화에 미치는 부정적 효과를 완충할 수 있는 중재요인을 탐색하는 것이 필요하다.

  • This paper describes the experimental study on seismic strengthening effect of circular bridge columns with poor lap-splice details using FRP(Fiber Reinforced Plastic) wrapping, The as-built column suffered brittle failure due to the deterioration of lap-spliced longitudinal reinforcement without developing its flexural capacity or any ductility, The strengthening columns using FRP wrapping showed significant improvement in seismic performance due to FRP's confinement effect.

  • One of the main objectives of the study is to propose a practical but realistic limit state model considering combined effect of axial and bending load for reliability analysis and safety assessment of cable-stayed bridge under vehicle traffic loads. This paper is intended to propose a new approach for the evaluation of reserved load carrying capacity of cable-stayed bridge under vehicle traffic loads in terms of equivalent strength, which may be defined as a bridge strength corresponding to the reliability index of the bridge. This can be derived from an inverse process based on the concept of FOSM form of reliability index. AFOSM and IST methods are used for the reliability analysis of the proposed models. The proposed reliability model and methods are applied to the safety assessment of Jindo Bridge which is one of major two cable-stayed bridges in Korea.

  • 항로를 횡단하여 건설된 교량은 부근을 지나던 선박의 기관이나 조타기의 고장 또는 비상한 외력의 영향이나 인위적인 판단오류로 인하여 발생할 수 있는 선박과 교각의 충돌을 예방하고 불가피한 충돌의 경우에도 교량의 붕괴를 방지하는 대책을 마련하여야 한다. 충돌이나 간접 충격에 의하여 교량의 상판이 붕괴되는 경우 많은 인명의 손실과 교량으로 연결되는 간선도로의 장기간 폐쇄는 국가적인 재앙이 될 것이기 때문이다.

잉크젯 인쇄기술을 이용한 종이 스트레인게이지 개발 (Development of a Paper Strain Gauge using Inkjet-printing Technology)

  • In this paper, eco-friendly paper strain gauge was fabricated in the way of printing strain gauge on paper substrate, using PEDOT:PSS ink and inkjet printer technology. As a p-type conductive high polymer, PEDOT:PSS is known to be piezoresistive effect. I formed a strain gauge by connecting in parallel 5 lines of $60{\mu}m$ width printed with PEDOT:PSS. To minimize surrounding influence such as temperature, I formed wheat-stone bridge by combining 4 strain gauges (quarter-bridge strain gauge) which were made up of PEDOT:PSS 5 lines and measured. In quarter-bridge strain gauge, only two strain gauges, facing each other, arranged in strain and horizontal direction were deformed while the other two strain gauge of vertical direction were not. Therefore, quarter-bridge strain gauge showed the output of half bridge. The fabricated quarter-bridge strain gauge had output sensitivity of $105.6{\mu}V/V{\cdot}mm$ and its output linearity was relatively good.
