시설물별 태풍에 따른 피해특성 및 원인분석 (The Analysis of Damage Characteristic and Cause on Infrastructures by Typhoon)

  • In this study was investigated and analyzed of damage characteristics for infrastructures by typhoon that have been many occur. The objective Structures were the road and hydraulic structure. The road structure was included the cut-slopes, retaining walls and bridges. The hydraulic structure is divided with the dike, small-scale dam, reservoir and floodgate. The analysis result of the bridge damage cause is river bottom height increase and passage ability decrease. The principal damage reasons of the cut-slope structure are weakening the ground due to the localized torrential downpour and drainage defective. Also, the principal damage reasons of the small-scale dam, reservoir, dike and the floodgate are continuous collapse of dike beside the floodgate.And we divided a typhoon damage occurrence cause with artificial and natural. As the result of analysis, the many damage occurrence cause will be removed by system improvement and technical development.

  • Today, we face many problems at the planetary, national, local, and personal level. What is interesting and important is the fact that the environmental crisis that we have been facing since the 1960s is seen by many environmentalists as a crisis of Western civilization, a slow collective suicide, and "the defining challenge of our age." This fact has encouraged many environmentalists, thinkers, and activists to turn to the wisdom of the East for a better and deeper understanding of nature and humanity for a sustainable future. Moreover, environmental, social, and economic threats are aimed at everyone without discrimination, be they Christian, Jew, Muslim, or Buddhist. Therefore, the very nature of the environmental crisis and challenge requires a cooperative, global response. In this context, this study suggests that Eastern societies may re-discover the richness of their own traditions in the light of pressing environmental problems and offer new insights to respond to these problems. This paper will explore the possibility and relevance of Sir Muhammad Iqbal's (1877-1938) ideas for an attitude of reverence and care for nature. It will suggest that his ideas could enlarge and enrich our perspective of ourselves vis $\grave{a}$ vis nature, and raise our "ecological consciousness" and moral responsibility to take action for the environment. It will be argued that Iqbal, as a great and towering son of the Silk Road and a bridge between East and West, is still relevant for us.

친환경 쉬트형 보강재 및 분산성 섬유를 적용한 복합 섬유 보강 포장 개발 (Development of a Composite Fiber Reinforcement Pavement using Eco-Friendly Grid and Dispersive Fibers)

  • PURPOSES : This study develops eco-friendly asphalt reinforcement materials applicable to bridge deck pavement. The main purpose is to ensure highly reliable quality applicable to structures and the possibility of practical application. The main target of the study is to develop materials that are environmentally friendly and capable of improving performance. METHODS : The application of double-reinforcement fiber improves the performance of the road pavement. 1. We use recycled film for application of sheet-typed reinforcement. 2. We use preprocessing fibers to reinforce the properties of composite pavement materials. RESULTS : The developed products may produce materials that fit the purpose of achieving stability and environmental friendliness. Sheet-typed reinforcements use more than 50% recycled resin. The most important type of damage to the asphalt layer is deflection (plastic deformation). These products have a very high deflection resistance of not less than 6,000 cycles/mm. In addition, all performance is excellent. Thus, it will be easier to access the field in the future. CONCLUSIONS : Fiber-reinforced asphalt pavement showed excellent performance. Sheet-typed reinforcements containing 50% recycling resin produced good performance in terms of functionality as well as environmental friendliness. Thus, enhancing the field applicability will enhance the usability of the reinforcements.

대심도 복층터널 프리캐스트 중간슬래브의 횡방향 현장이음방식에 대한 실험연구 (The Experimental Study on Transverse Field Joint Method of Precast Road Deck Slab of Double Deck Tunnel in Great Depth)

  • 대심도 복층터널 구조물에서 중간슬래브 구조에 적용되는 형식중 하나인 프리캐스트 구조에서는 차량 진행 방향으로 이음이 발생한다. 따라서, 이 이음부를 일체로 거동하게 하는 것이 중요하다. 이 연구에서 제안하는 대심도 복층터널 중간슬래브는 터널의 공간 활용을 극대화 하기 위하여 프리스트레스를 도입한 보 형식의 구조체로, 'PS 이음방식'과 '볼트체결방식'에 대한 이음방법을 개발하였다. 또한, 두 가지 이음방식을 적용한 중간슬래브의 구조성능을 평가하기 위해서 실물모형 구조실험을 수행하였으며, Contact 모델을 적용한 FEM 해석을 통해서 구조적인 안정성을 검증하였다. 이음방식을 적용한 복층터널 중간슬래브의 정적재하실험 결과 매우 안정적인 거동을 보였으며, 균열 및 처짐에 있어 도로교설계기준(2011)을 만족하여 사용성에도 문제가 없다고 판단되었다. FEM 해석에 따른 중간슬래브의 거동은 실험과 비교하여 강성이 미소하게 크게 나타났으나 전체적인 거동이 거의 유사하게 나타났다. 따라서 이 연구에서 개발한 이음방법을 적용한 중간슬래브를 시공함에 있어 구조적으로 문제가 없을 것으로 판단된다.

도로포장 및 교량 유지보수 현장에서 RTLS를 활용한 다중 노무자의 안전관리 시스템 개발 (Developement of Safety Management System of Multi-Laborers Using RTLS in the Pavement and Bridge Construction Field)

  • 도로포장 및 교량 유지보수 현장에서 노무자의 안전을 관리할 수 있도록 실시간 위치정보 시스템을 개발하였다. 이 시스템은 다중의 노무자들의 실시간 위치 탐색, 이동 이력, 행동 특성을 확인할 수 있다. 이 시스템은 저전력 블루투스 및 지그비 통신시스템으로 구성되었다. RSSI를 이용한 삼각측량으로 위치 인식을 하는 과거의 방법은 매우 큰 오차를 가진다. 때문에 본 연구는 가속도계와 RSSI를 이용한 새로운 거리측정 방법 및 보정 방안을 제시하였다. 도로포장 및 교량 유지보수 현장에서 개발한 시스템의 오차를 평가한 결과 0.2 m~0.4 m의 오차를 나타내었다. 그리고 가속도 이력을 판별하여 통해 노무자의 안전 상황에 대한 판별이 가능함을 확인하였다.

탑승자 안전도를 고려한 교각 방호시설물 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of Non-Redirective Crash Cushion for Bridge Piers Considering Occupant Safety)

  • The traffic accident types are largely classified into vehicle to vehicle accident, vehicle-to-person accident and single-vehicle. Especially, the single-vehicle accident types are severe when the vehicle crashed into road facilities such as bridge, piers, utility poles. The severity of single-vehicle accidents are ten times higher than that of all other accidents types. It is needed to consider to reduce accident severity. This study was conducted to develop crash worthy safety design facility to ensure the vehicle occupant safety. The simulation and the crash tests were conducted for assessment of the safety performance to check the criteria of CC2(Crash Cushion 2) level. THIV(Theoretical Head Impact Velocity) and PHD(Post-impact Head Deceleration) were used to assess occupant impact severity for crashes. The non-redirection collision test conditions for 900 kg and 1,300 kg-head on crash tests, 900 kg-1/4 offset crash tests, 1,300 kg-head on crash test with $15^{\circ}$angle were conducted. The simulation and experiment test result showed that THIV values were below 44 km/h criterion, PHD values were below the 20G. The development non-redirective crash cushion is expected to be used for the fixed object such as bridge piers for assuring occupant safety.

고속축중계 자료를 이용한 차량하중 다차로재하계수 결정 (Determination of Multi-Lane Loading Factors for Vehicular Load of Bridges using Weigh-In-Motion Data)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 인접차로에서 동시에 주행하는 차량재하의 확률과 실제 차량의 중량을 고려하여 합리적인 다차로 재하계수를 제시하는 것이다. 차량동시재하의 확률은 국내 여러 곳에서 촬영한 비디오영상으로부터 분석되었으며 중차량의 중량은 국내 두 곳에서 Weigh-In-Motion시스템으로부터 계측한 자료를 이용하였다. 이 두 자료를 대표적인 2차로교량과 5차로교량에 각각 적용하여 다차로재하계수를 계산하였다. 또한 본 논문에서 제시한 동시재하확률 및 WIM자료의 중량이 국내의 지역별 특성을 대표하는 값으로 가정하여 다차로재하계수의 통계적인 특성을 산출하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 국내외의 교량 설계기준과 비교하였으며 그 결과 현행 국내의 도로교설계기준의 값보다는 작고, 유로코드 및 AASHTO LRFD기준보다는 큰 값을 나타냈으며 전체적으로 캐나다의 설계기준과 유사한 값을 보이는 것으로 나타났다.

Aerodynamic effect of wind barriers and running safety of trains on high-speed railway bridges under cross winds

  • For high-speed railways (HSR) in wind prone regions, wind barriers are often installed on bridges to ensure the running safety of trains. This paper analyzes the effect of wind barriers on the running safety of a high-speed train to cross winds when it passes on a bridge. Two simply-supported (S-S) PC bridges in China, one with 32 m box beams and the other with 16 m trough beams, are selected to perform the dynamic analyses. The bridges are modeled by 3-D finite elements and each vehicle in a train by a multi-rigid-body system connected with suspension springs and dashpots. The wind excitations on the train vehicles and the bridges are numerically simulated, using the static tri-component coefficients obtained from a wind tunnel test, taking into account the effects of wind barriers, train speed and the spatial correlation with wind forces on the deck. The whole histories of a train passing over the two bridges under strong cross winds are simulated and compared, considering variations of wind velocities, train speeds and without or with wind barriers. The threshold curves of wind velocity for train running safety on the two bridges are compared, from which the windbreak effect of the wind barrier are evaluated, based on which a beam structure with better performance is recommended.

교량 바닥판 조건에 따른 교면방수 시스템의 인장접착 특성 (Tensile Adhesive Chracteristics of Waterproofing System for Concrete Bridge Decks)

  • 방수시스템의 거동은 재료 인자들의 복잡한 상호작용, 설계 상세, 그리고 시공의 질에 따라 결정되고, 방수성은 교면과의 접착성과 방수재의 손상정도에 의해 결정되는 것으로 알려져 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 국내에 유통되고 있는 교면방수재의 종류별로 방수시스템의 성능을 현재 각 시공현장에서 하자의 원인으로 가장 빈번하게 발생되는 요인들을 중심으로 인장접착 특성을 비교하였다. 방수시스템에 대한 인장접착강도 시험 결과, 함수비 10% 이상에서는 무기질탄성계 도막방수재를 제외하고는 접착력이 감소하였으며, 바닥판 콘크리트 강도가 증가할수록 일반적으로 인장접착강도는 증가하였다. 또한 바닥판 콘크리트의 양생방법에 따라 내부의 공극구조 및 평탄성의 차이로 인해 수중양생한 시편이 전반적으로 접착력이 더 큰 것으로 나타났다. 아스팔트 혼합물 포설전 보다 아스팔트 혼합물 포설후 인장접착강도가 증가하는 경향을 나타냈지만 도막식의 경우, 오히려 감소하는 결과가 나타났다. 그리고 방수재 시공시 대기온도가 상승함에 따라 접착력이 저하되어 방수 시스템의 성능에 악영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

유동성 재료의 동적 거동 해석을 위한 입자확대법 기반 DEM의 적용 (Application of DEM with Coarse Graining Method to Fluidal Material Behavior Analysis)

  • PURPOSES : In this paper, the applicability of DEM to a coarse graining method was evaluated by simulating a series of minicone tests for cement paste. METHODS : First, the fundamental physical quantities that are used in a static liquid bridge model were presented with three basic quantities based on the similarity principle and coarse graining method. Then, the scale factors and surface tensions for six different sizes of particles were determined using the relationship between the physical quantities and the basic quantities. Finally, the determined surface tensions and radii were utilized to simulate the fluidal behavior of cement paste under a minicone test condition, and the final shape of the cement paste with reference DEM particle radii was compared with the final shape of the others. RESULTS : The simulations with adjusted surface tensions for five different radii of particles and surface tension showed acceptable agreement with the simulation with regard to the reference size of the particle, although disagreement increases as the sizes of the particle radii increase. It seems reasonable to increase the particle radii by at least 0.196 cm considering the computational time reduction of 162 min. CONCLUSIONS : The coarse graining method based on the similarity principle is applicable for simulating the behavior of fluidal materials when the behavior of the materials can be described by a static liquid bridge model. However, the maximum particle radius should be suggested by considering not only the scale factor but also the relationship of the particle size and number with the radius of the curve of the boundary geometry.
