허가차량 통행에 대한 교량의 안전성 평가를 위한 허가차량 분류 체계 개발 (Development of Permit Vehicle Classification System for Bridge Evaluation in Korea)

  • 이 연구에서는 분리불가능한 허가차량의 통행에 대한 교량의 안전성 평가 체계를 정립하여 제안하였다. 대상으로 하는 허가차량의 하중효과와 도로교설계기준(한계상태설계법)의 설계차량하중의 계수하중효과를 비교하여, 허가차량의 체계를 일상허가와 두 개의 특별허가로 분류하였다. 일상허가 및 특별허가 1에서는 일반차량과 동시 통행하도록 제안하였으며, 특별허가 2에서는 허가차량이 단독 통행하도록 제안하였다. 허가차량의 전후에 동시 통행하는 일반차량의 연행을 고려하기 위하여 도로교설계기준의 표준차로하중을 이용하여 허가 하중 모형을 제안하였다. 제안된 허가 하중 모형을 적용하여 공용중인 프리스트레스트빔교 및 강박스교의 구조해석을 수행하였으며, 도로교설계기준의 하중·저항계수를 이용하여 허가하중 및 설계차량하중의 내하율 계산을 수행하였다. 교량 거더의 휨 및 전단에 대한 내하율 검토 결과 모든 차량하중의 내하율이 크게 계산되어 통행 가능한 것으로 확인되었다. 허가하중 및 설계차량하중의 휨 및 전단에 대한 교량의 신뢰도해석을 수행하여 신뢰도관점에서 충분한 안전성을 확보하는지 여부를 확인하였다. 도로교설계기준의 하중·저항계수를 이용하여 허가하중에 대한 최소요구강도를 계산하였으며, 최소요구강도의 신뢰도해석을 수행하였다. 최소 요구강도의 신뢰도해석 결과 대부분의 허가차량에 대하여 도로교설계기준의 목표신뢰도지수를 확보하는 것으로 확인되었다.

  • Many bridges are severely damaged by the overloaded heavy vehicle and the trend will become more serious because the traffic volume is continuously increasing. Currently, the vehicles with gross weights over 40 tonf or axle weight over 10 tonf are not allowed on the public road. However, this regulation is not based on a systematic study on the bridge capacity and assumed to be much too conservative depending on the vehicle types and bridge types. In this study, the permit weights of heavy vehicles of diverse axle spacings and axle load distribution are calculated considering the structural characteristics of bridge superstructures. In order to consider the various load effects of heavy weight vehicle crossings, three conditions are considered in the calculation of permit vehicle load. From the results, the permit vehicle weights of the simple girder bridges are calculated.

  • 최근 우리나라 여러 주요 항만에 해상교량의 건설이 진행 중이거나 계획 중에 있는데, 이들 교량의 설치 위치나 규모가 주로 경제적인 측면만을 강조하여 이루어짐으로써, 선박 동항안전에 위협을 주고 있으며, 이해 당사자 간의 갈등이 고조되고 있는 현실이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 선박 통항로 상에 많은 해상교량을 가지고 있는 미국의 해상교량 관련 법령과 절차를 조사${\cdot}$연구하여 우리나라의 제도를 제안하는데 참조하고자 한다.

응력보정계수 산정 방법 개선 (An Improvement for Determining Response Modification Factor in Bridge Load Rating)

  • Bridge load rating calculations provide a basis for determining the safe load capacity of bridge. Load rating requires engineering judgement in determining a rating value that is applicable to maintaining the safe use of the bridge and arriving at posting and permit decisions. Load testing is an effective means in calculating the rating value of bridge. In Korea, load carrying capacity of bridge is modified by response modification factor that is determined from comparisons of measured values and analysis results. The response modification factor may be corrupted by vehicle location error that is defined as the gap of test vehicle location between load testing and analysis. In this study, the effects of vehicle location error to structural response and response modification factor are investigated, and a new method for evaluating response modification factor is proposed. The random data analysis shows that the proposed method is less sensitive to vehicle location error than the present method.

  • 최근 우리나라 여러 주요 항만에 해상교량의 건설이 진행 중이거나 계획 중에 있는데, 이들 교량의 설치 위치나 규모가 주로 경제적인 측면만을 강조하여 이루어짐으로써, 선박 통항안전에 위협을 주고 있으며, 이해 당사자 간의 갈등이 고조되고 있는 현실이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 국내 해상교량 관련 법령과 절차에 대한 조사 및 연구를 통하여 현행 제도에 대한 문제점을 파악해 보고자 한다.

  • We enhance the stability of SaeManGeum Drainage Sluice Gate Bridge. We prevent a destruction disaster of it. We extend the life cycle of it. So We have developed the safety control system to manage the facility of bridge to the continuance. In this study, sensitive sensor and measuring instrument has been taken to consider the characteristic of the box-girder type concrete bridge. And CDMA type has adapted for wireless communication. Control program has been developed on web base. In this program, the advanced systems have applied like this; the setup of control range for management from the statistical analysis, the evaluation system for force and deformation and the control system for a heavy vehicle permit.

  • The seismic response analysis of an existing bridge needs a mathematical model that can be calibrated with measured dynamic characteristics. These characteristics are the periods and the associated mode shapes of vibration and the modal damping coefficients. This paper deals with the measurements and the interpretation of the results of ambient vibration tests done on a newly erected cable stayed bridge across the Oued Dib River at Mila city in Algeria. The signal analysis of ambient vibration records will permit to determine the dynamic characteristics of the bridge. On the other hand, a 3-D model of the bridge is developed in order to assess the frequencies and the associated modes of vibration. This information will be necessary in the planning of the test on the site (locations of the sensors, frequencies to be measured and the associated mode shapes of vibration). The frequencies predicted by the finite element model are compared with those measured during full-scale ambient vibration measurements of the bridge. In the same way, the modal damping coefficients obtained by the random decrement method are compared to those of similar bridges.

A simplified analysis of the behavior of suspension bridges under live load

  • Having established the initial geometry and cable force of a typical three span suspension bridge under permanent load, the additional maximum response of the cable and the stiffening girder due to live load are determined, by means of an analytic procedure, considering the girder first hinged at its ends and then continuous through the main towers. The problem of interaction between the cable and the stiffening girder is examined taking under due consideration the second order effects, whereby, through the analogy to a fictitious tensioned beam under transverse load, a closed -form solution is achieved by means of a simple quadratic equation. It is found that the behavior of the whole system is governed by five simple dimensionless parameters which enable a quick determination of all the relevant design magnitudes of the bridge. Moreover, by introducing these parameters, a set of diagrams is presented, which enable the estimation of the influence of the geometric and loading data on the response and permit its immediate evaluation for preliminary design purposes.
