주요 선진국의 국가도서관시스템 분석 (An Analysis of National Library System of the Major Advanced Countries)

  • 이 연구는 국가균형발전과 지방분권이라는 시대적 조류에 편승하여 현재의 '완전 집중형' 국가도서관시스템을 '집중-분산형'으로 재편하기 위한 이론적 배경과 논리적 근거를 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 주요 문화선진국인 영국, 독일, 프랑스, 일본을 벤치마킹의 대상으로 삼아 각각의 분산형 국가도서관시스템 구성을 정밀 분석하였다. 이를 바탕으로 후속연구에서는 국가도서관 지역분관 건립을 위한 중장기 기본계획(기본모형, 운영체계 및 역할분담 모형, 자료보존센터 모형 등)을 제시할 것이다.

  • 본 논문에서는 밀리미터파 대역에서 동작하는 단일 평면 구조의 회로에 쉽게 집적화 할 수 있는 94 GHz CPW branch-line 대역통과 여파기를 설계 및 제작하였다. 본 논문은 커플링 포트들을 open load stub로 연결하고, 격리 포트를 출력노드로 취하여 branch-line 커플러를 transversal filtering section으로 사용하는 것이다. 94 GHz branch-line 대역통과 여파기를 설계하기 위해서 CPW 라이브러리를 구축하고, branch-line 커플러와 open load stub들의 임피던스 및 길이를 최적화하였다. 제작된 대역통과 여파기의 측정결과, 주파수 94 GHz를 중심으로 11.7 %의 3 dB 상대 대역폭과 2.5 dB의 삽입 손실 특성을 나타내었다. 또한, 94 GHz에서 -18.5 dB의 입출력 반사 손실 특성을 얻었다.

  • 본 연구는 대구광역시 공공도서관을 대상으로 로그-회귀분석에 의한 경영성과를 평가하고 대안을 모색하였다. 투입예산에 대한 산출효과(생산성)를 분석한 결과, 기울기(b)의 누적값(${\Sigma}b_n$)은 약 3.732이므로 지역주민에 대한 정보봉사력은 매우 낮은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이에 대한 대안으로 도서관 정체성의 재정립, 최적의 입지선정과 증설, 예산배정 및 장서구성의 개선, 적정 인력의 확보와 조직개편, 웹환경의 최적화, 이용자봉사의 강화를 제시하였다.

공공도서관과 학교도서관의 상호협력에 관한 연구 (The study on the cooperation between public and school libraries)

  • The purpose of this research was to study the merits and barriers to successful school and public library cooperation in the city of Seoul and to obtain perspective and the basic data used to implement practical cooperative measures. A questionnaire survey was conducted for 22 public libraries in city of Seoul concerning both positive and negative aspect of cooperation between two types of libraries. Based on the survey results, the following conclusions and recommendations are made ; 1) The librarians recognized the necessity of cooperation that promote efficiency of library operation and also contribute toward local community development. 2) The librarians are agreeable to the cooperative service and the institutional cooperation will prevent redundancy of collection development and will make variety of book selection possible. 3) The cooperation will not result in manpower reduction or budget saving. 4) Inconvenience due to distance between two types of library is anticipated. 5) In order to develop the skills and capabilities of the librarians, it is desirable to offer reeducational program and o n.0, pportunities to attend conferences and meetings. 6) The library user orientation program is to be held regularly. 7) It is necessary to make policy statement of library cooperation in order to maintain autonomy of each library. 8) The establishment of branch libraries and moving libraries under the educational district is recommended.

공공도서관 서비스 포인트 확충을 위한 개방형 학교도서관 운영방안연구 -경기도지역을 중심으로- (Study on the Management Plans of the Open-Style School Library for the Expansion of Public Library Service-Points)

  • Gyeonggi Province is trying to increase the number of public libraries from 100 as of December, 2006 to 150 in 2010. However most of existing public libraries preferred mid-to-large scale libraries, so they were restricted to be located in around a zone of life. For this reason most local residents have been excluded from right to use libraries and have difficulties to get library services for the knowledge and information society of the 21st century. The alternative to the small library is a school library. Both schools and public libraries are located in around a zone of life because residents can get an access to them easily. First, considering that small-scale public libraries of communities usually service about 10,000-20,000 people, I estimate that an open-style school library services 24class, 840people (24class*35people) of elementary school by 2003 Korean Library Standard (edited by Korean Library Association). Second, it requires systematic protection policies so that the open-style school of library can function as a local public library and a part of library cooperation system in accordance with local plans. All the open-style school libraries don't intend to open and we had better consider the suitable service areas. Third, it's desired for the management efficiency that the open-style school libraries being established afterward are divided into a branch-scale, a hall-scale and so on, not being uniform management model. And it also needs that one of them in the area enlarges the scale, and then supports other school libraries. According to these results of the research, as cooperation between the public library policy of a local government and school library policy, it needs a systematic support.

  • 이 논문의 목적은 국내 6대 광역자치단체를 대상으로 공공도서관 조례의 제정법리, 현황과 문제점을 분석하여 바람직한 통합모형을 제시하는데 있다. 통합조례(안)은 목적, 명칭 및 위치, 업무, 관장, 정원, 분관 등의 설치, 하부조직, 사용, 양도$\cdot$전대의 금지, 자료 및 시설물의 변상, 입관제한, 자료위탁, 도서관 및 독서진흥위원회의 구성과 운영, 도서관 및 독서진흥기금, 도서관 등에 대한 지원, 독서진흥, 시행규칙, 부칙으로 구성하였다. 그러나 지방자치단체에 따라 적용 불가능한 조항도 있을 것이므로 당해 지역의 제반 여건과 특수성을 고려하여 취사선택하거나 수정$\cdot$보완함으로써 시대상황에 적합한 조례를 제정해야 할 것이다

  • 본 지침은 College & Research Libraries News 1975년 10월호. pp.281-283에 실린 ‘Guidelines for Branch Libraries in Colleges and Universities'를 우리말로 옮긴 것이다. 현재 우리 나라의 많은 대학들이 확고한 원칙도 없이 무분별하게 분관을 설치하고 부실하게 이를 운영하고 있는 실정을 감안할 때 본 지침은 이의 시정을 위해서뿐만 아니라 앞으로 분관을 설치하고자 계획하는 경우 그 타당성을 평가해 볼 수 있는 훌륭한 규범이라 믿는다.

Isolation and Characterization of Microsatellite Markers in Tsaiya Duck

  • An enrichment library of GATA-repeats from genomic DNA was constructed in this study to isolate and characterize microsatellite loci in Tsaiya duck (Anas platyrhynchos). Thirty-three microsatellite markers were developed and used to detect polymorphisms in 30 Tsaiya ducks. A total of 177 alleles were observed and all loci except APT022 were polymorphic. The number of alleles ranged from 2 to 9 with an average of 5.5 per microsatellite locus. The observed and expected heterozygosity of these polymorphic markers ranged from 0.07 to 0.93 with an average number of 0.60 and 0.10 to 0.86 with an average number of 0.61, respectively. Among the polymorphic markers, the observed heterozygosities of 23 loci were higher than 0.50 (69.70%). The polymorphism information content (PIC) in the 32 loci ranged from 0.09 to 0.83 with an average of 0.57. Seven of the 33 duck microsatellite loci had orthologs in the chicken genome, but only APT004 had a similar core repeat to chickens. These microsatellite markers will be useful in constructing a genetic linkage map for the duck and a comparative mapping with the chicken can also provide a valuable tool for studies related to biodiversity and population genetics in this duck species.

Breast Mass Classification using the Fundamental Deep Learning Approach: To build the optimal model applying various methods that influence the performance of CNN

  • Deep learning enables machines to have perception and can potentially outperform humans in the medical field. It can save a lot of time and reduce human error by detecting certain patterns from medical images without being trained. The main goal of this paper is to build the optimal model for breast mass classification by applying various methods that influence the performance of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). Google's newly developed software library Tensorflow was used to build CNN and the mammogram dataset used in this study was obtained from 340 breast cancer cases. The best classification performance we achieved was an accuracy of 0.887, sensitivity of 0.903, and specificity of 0.869 for normal tissue versus malignant mass classification with augmented data, more convolutional filters, and ADAM optimizer. A limitation of this method, however, was that it only considered malignant masses which are relatively easier to classify than benign masses. Therefore, further studies are required in order to properly classify any given data for medical uses.

Isolation and Characterization of the Eicosapentaenoic Acid Biosynthesis Gene Cluster from Shewanella sp. BR-2

  • Forty-four eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA)-producing microbial strains were isolated from the intestines of marine fishes. Among them, one strain showing a maximum level of EPA (4.78% of total fatty acids) was identified as Shewanella sp. BR-2 on the basis of its 168 rRNA sequence. The EPA content reached a maximum level during the mid-exponential phase of cell growth, and gradually decreased with further growth of the cells. A cosmid DNA including the EPA biosynthesis gene cluster consisting of pfaA-E was isolated from a cosmid library of genomic DNA of Shewanella sp. BR-2, named pCosEPA-BR2. An E. coli clone harboring pCosEPA-BR2 produced EPA at a maximum level of 7.5% of total fatty acids, confirming the EPA biosynthesis activity of the cloned gene cluster.
