The sources of the vibration of railway vehicles in the cabin are usually bogie, axle, and wheel. The vibrations are transmitted through the floor structures of railway vehicle. The floor structure is the combination of bottom plate, plywood, and rubber. In this research the vibration transmission is measured experimentally and analyzed numerically to find the transmission characteristics of the vehicle floor structures. The result shows that the vibration characteristic of soft rubber is better than hard rubber or wood as the connecting material between the bottom plate and the plywood.

The coastal zone is a delicate and dynamic area in which the majority of a water kinetic energy is dissipated. These processes are subsequent to the transport of the beach materials. In comparison to emerged breakwaters, submerged structures permit the passage of some wave energy and in turn allow for circulation along the shoreline zone. This research aims to examine the beach erosion prevention capability of submerged structure by laboratory model. The flow characteristics behind a submerged obstacle with bottom gap were experimentally investigated at Re = $1.2{\times}10^4$ using the two-frame PIV(CACTUS 2000) system. Streamline curvature field behind the obstacle has been obtained by using the data of time-averaged mean velocity information. And the large eddy structure in the separated shear layer seems to have signification influence on the development of the separated shear layer. As bottom gap size increases, the recirculation occurring behind the obstacle moves toward downstream and its strength is weakened.

The purpose of this is to evaluate Hakui Stream Naturalness Index(S.N.I). and to find out stats, problems and opportunities of the Hakui stream by assessment standard. Assessment standard is mainly based on physical structure of stream environment. The purpose evaluating sectors and elements are physical form and structure restoration of stream. To find out assessment standard of stream naturalness index, conceptual frame of assessment standard has been established, for which four sections, for example, longitudinal section, lateral section, stream bottom structure and water environment, have been selected. Overall stream naturalness index of the Hakui stream has been distributed at 3rd to 4th grade, and its assessment index accounted for 3.2 to be 3rd grade, and its mode also did 3rd grade. Stream naturalness index of each section was as follows: Longitudinal section index accounted for 3.6 in average to be 4th grade, and later section index did 3.0 to be 3rd grade, and stream bottom structure index did 3.0 to be 3rd grade, and water environment index did 2.7 to be 3rd grade. Analysis of assessment outcome of stream naturalness index has checked status, Problems and opportunities of corresponding stream. Assessment of stream naturalness index of the study provides useful information for restoration of close-to-nature stream, and furthermore has its meaning in checking problems and opportunities of Hakui stream.

Recently, the method of the apartment building design has been changed from wall type structures to moment structures. With like this reason, dry walls we used plentifully. Especially, the gypsum board was used from previously plentifully however the weak point of it is difficult to maintain because it weak strength. For the improvement of gypsum board, light weight concrete panel using cement board is used recently. As this study is the research of the series t on the development of non-bearing light weight concrete panel using bottom ash, the purpose of this study is to obtain basic data for application in the field. The results are that the structure 1 satisfies domestic standard concerned with sound insulation between households at the laboratory and field test.

The bottom slab of Inchon LNG in-ground #213 tank is designed as a massive structure witch has a large depth and section. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimum mix design having good workability and low hydration heat for bottom slab concrete and to control the actual concrete quality in site. For this purpose, we select the optimum mix design used ternary blended cement(furnace slag cement+fly ash) and design factors. As test results of actual application, we have finish placing the bottom slab concrete of 23,180㎥ during 68hours with good success and obtain the good quality of fresh and hardened concrete including slump, air contents, no-segregation, compressive strength and low hydration heat in actual data. All test results are satisfied with our specifications for bottom slab concrete and we cut costs as the use of ternary blended cement and the reduction of placing hours.

The authors investigated the InGaN/GaN multi-quantum well blue light emitting devices with the implementation of the photonic crystals fabricated at the top surface of p-GaN layer and the bottom interface of n-GaN layer. The top photonic crystals result in the lattice-dependent photoluminescence spectra at the wavelength of 450 nm and however, the bottom photonic crystal shows a big shift of the photoluminescence peak from 444 nm to 394 nm. The sample with the bottom photonic crystal structure also shows the lasing effect at the wavelength of 468 nm. Furthermore, the quality enhancement for the crystal growth of GaN thin film on the bottom photonic crystal comes from the modulated compressive stress which was measured by the micro-Raman spectroscopy.

Green frame is column-beam structure composed of precast concrete members. Based on Revision of Structural Concrete Design Code, the bottom rebar of beam shall be extend at least 150mm into the support member. However, if the bottom rebar extend to satisfy Revision of Structural Concrete Design Code, the installation fo beam is impossible due to interference between the columns and beams. Thus, the aim of this study is estimation of production length of precast concrete beam by using splice length of bottom rebar. In this study to solve this problem, lap splice were used on the join. This study was calculated length of the reinforcement by the diameter. According to the length of the rebar, the production length of beam concrete was calculated. The results of this study will satisfy the Revision of Structural Concrete Design Code about column-beam connection when green frame will be applied.
The main objective of this study was to investigate effects of pigment mixed with different ratio on the double coated paper. Mineral pigments such as clay and ground calcium carbonate(GCC) as well as hollow sphere plastic pigment were used to evaluate the physical, optical properties and printabilities of double coated paper. The physical properties such as gloss and smoothness, and the printability(ink gloss) of double coated paper were measured to evaluate the effects of the bottom layer on improving the properties of top layer. The data indicated that the usage of hollow sphere plastic pigment for the bottom layer coating improved the surface properties of double coated paper, and that ink gloss was significantly influenced by the structure of bottom layer even when hollow sphere plastic pigment was used for the bottom layer coating.

We have studied organic layer-thickness dependent electrical and optical properties of bottom- and top-emission devices. Bottom-emission device was made in a structure of ITO(170 nm)/TPD(x nm)/$Alq_3$(y nm)/LiF(0.5 nm)/Al(100 nm), and a top-emission device in a structure of glass/Al(100 nm)/TPD(x nm)/$Alq_3$(y nm)/LiF(0.5 nm)/Al(25 nm). A hole-transport layer of TPD (N,N'-diphenyl-N,N'-di(m-tolyl)-benzidine) was thermally deposited in a range of 35 nm and 65 nm, and an emissive layer of $Alq_3$ (tris-(8-hydroxyquinoline) aluminum) was successively deposited in a range of 50 nm and 100 nm. Thickness ratio between the hole-transport layer and the emissive layer was maintained to be 2:3, and a whole layer thickness was made to be in a range of 85 and 165 nm. From the current density-luminance-voltage characteristics of the bottom-emission devices, a proper thickness of the organic layer (55 nm thick TPD and 85 nm thick $Alq_3$ layer) was able to be determined. From the view-angle dependent emission spectrum of the bottom-emission device, the peak wavelength of the spectrum does not shift as the view angle increases. However, for the top-emission device, there is a blue shift in peak wavelength as the view angle increases when the total layer thickness is thicker than 140 nm. This blue shift is thought to be due to a microcavity effect in organic light-emitting diodes.
