  • The neural network can roughly be classified as the specialized control, indirect control and general schemes. Neural network is adopted for MPPT of solar array. And back propagation algorithm also is used to train neural network controller. We investigate the possibilities of $P_{max}$ control using the neural networks, and then we also examine about operating the solar cell at an optimal voltage comprise of temperature compensated voltage with boost converter. Proposed boost converter of MPPT system is studied by simulation and is implemented by using a microprocessor(80c196kc) which controls duty ratio of the boost converter.

  • In this paper, a novel active boost converter for SR drive is proposed. An active capacitor circuit is added in the front-end. Based on this active capacitor network, when boost switch turns off, this network seems as passive capacitor network. And the voltage of boost capacitor can keep balance with dc-link voltage automatically. In the capacitor network, discharging voltage is general dc-link voltage in parallel-connected capacitors; charging voltage is double dc-link voltage in series-connected capacitors. When boost switch turns on, two capacitors are connected in series, and discharging voltage is up to double dc-link voltage. So the fast excitation current can be obtained from this mode. Profit from fast excitation and fast demagnetization mode, the performance and output power can be improved. Some computer simulations are done to verify the performance of proposed converter.

  • A new Z-source inverter (ZSI) topology is developed to improve voltage boost ability. The proposed topology is modified from the switched inductor topology by adding some more inductors and diodes into inductor branch to the conventional Z-source network. The modulation methods developed for the conventional ZSI can be easily utilized in the proposed ZSI. The proposed ZSI has an ability to obtain a higher voltage boost ratio compared with the conventional ZSI under the same shoot-through duty ratio. Since a smaller shoot-through duty ratio is required for high voltage boost, the proposed ZSI is able to reduce the voltage stress on Z-source capacitor and inverter-bridge. Theoretical analysis and operating principle of the proposed topology are explicitly described. In addition, the design guideline of the proposed Z-source network as well as the PWM control method to achieve the desired voltage boost factor is also analyzed in detail. The improved performances are validated by both simulation and experiment.

  • In this paper a neural network controller for achieving maximum power tracking as well as output voltage regulation, for a wind energy conversion system (WECS) employing a permanent magnet synchronous generator is proposed. The permanent magnet generator (PMG) supplies a dc load via a bridge rectifier and two buck-boost converters. Adjusting the switching frequency of the first buck-boost converter achieves maximum power tracking. Adjusting the switching frequency of the second buck-boost converter allows output voltage regulation. The on-time of the switching devices of the two converters are supplied by the developed neural network (NN). The effect of sudden changes in wind speed and/ or in reference voltage on the performance of the NN controller are explored. Simulation results showed the possibility of achieving maximum power tracking and output voltage regulation simulation with the developed neural network controllers. The results proved also the fast response and robustness of the proposed control system.

  • This paper presents a novel topology named a modified capacitor-assisted Z-source inverter (MCA-ZSI) based on the traditional ZSI. The impedance network of the proposed MCA-ZSI consists of two symmetrical cells coupled with two capacitors with an X-shape structure, and each cell has two inductors, two capacitors, and one diode. Compared with other topologies based on switched ZSI with the same number of components used at impedance network, the proposed topology provides higher boost ability, lower voltage stress across inverter switching devices, and lower capacitor voltage stress. The improved performances of the proposed topology are demonstrated in the simulation and experimental results.

  • A new partial resonant three phase boost converter with high power factor and high efficiency is proposed. The proposed boost converter is constructed by using a resonant network in parallel with the swithch of the conventional boost converter. The devices are switched at zero voltage or zero current eliminating the switching loss. A new auxiliary partial resonant boost converter achieves zero-voltage switching(ZVS) or zero-current switching(ZCS) for all switch devices without increasing their voltage and current stresses.

  • In recent times cyber attackers can use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to boost the sophistication and scope of attacks. On the defense side, AI is used to enhance defense plans, to boost the robustness, flexibility, and efficiency of defense systems, which means adapting to environmental changes to reduce impacts. With increased developments in the field of information and communication technologies, various exploits occur as a danger sign to cyber security and these exploitations are changing rapidly. Cyber criminals use new, sophisticated tactics to boost their attack speed and size. Consequently, there is a need for more flexible, adaptable and strong cyber defense systems that can identify a wide range of threats in real-time. In recent years, the adoption of AI approaches has increased and maintained a vital role in the detection and prevention of cyber threats. In this paper, an Ensemble Deep Restricted Boltzmann Machine (EDRBM) is developed for the classification of cybersecurity threats in case of a large-scale network environment. The EDRBM acts as a classification model that enables the classification of malicious flowsets from the largescale network. The simulation is conducted to test the efficacy of the proposed EDRBM under various malware attacks. The simulation results show that the proposed method achieves higher classification rate in classifying the malware in the flowsets i.e., malicious flowsets than other methods.

  • Switching PFC converters are widely used not only to comply the power quality specification but also for maximum efficiency. However switching PFC converters generate serious electromagnetic interference (EMI). In this paper to solve this problem, we applied the APW(Anti Phase Winding) and RPWM(Ran-dom PWM) technique to PFC boost converter and obtained satisfactory results. Simulation and experimental results show the improved harmonic and reduced EMI effect in air-conditioner system.
