  • Generally, a logic function has many factored forms. The problem of finding more compact factored form is one of the basic operations in logic synthesis. In this paper, we present a new method for factoring Boolean functions to assist in educational logic designs. Our method for factorization is to implement two-cube Boolean division with supports of an expression. The number of literals in a factored form is a good estimate of the complexity of a logic function. Our empirical evaluation shows the improvements in literal counts over previous other factorization methods.

  • A factorization is a very important part of multi-level logic synthesis. The number of literals in a factored form is an estimate of the complexity of a logic function, and can be translated directly into the number of transistors required for implementation. Factored forms are described as either algebraic or Boolean, according to the trade-off between run-time and optimization. A Boolean factored form contains fewer number of literals than an algebraic factored form. In this paper, we present a new method for a Boolean factorization. The key idea is to identify two-cube nonkernel Boolean pairs from given expression. Experimental results on various benchmark circuits show the improvements in literal counts over previous other factorization methods.

  • Let($X^{\ast},\tau^{\ast}$) be the space with one point Lindeloffication topology of space (X,$\tau$). This paper offers the definition of the space with one point Lin-deloffication topology of a topological space and proves that the retraction regu-lar closed function f: $K^{\ast}(X^{\ast}$) defined f($A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}$ if p $\in A^{\ast}$ or ($f(A^{\ast})=A^{\ast}-{p}$ if $p \in A^{\ast}$ is a homomorphism. There are two examples in this paper to show that the retraction regular closed function f is neither a surjection nor an injection.

  • The linearized polynomial fan be regarded as a generalization of the identity function so that the inverse of the linearized polynomial is a generalization of e inverse function. Since the inverse function has so many good cryptographic properties, the inverse of the linearized polynomial is also a candidate of good Boolean functions. In particular, a construction method of vector resilient functions with high algebraic degree was proposed at Crypto 2001. But the analysis about the algebraic degree of the inverse of the linearized Polynomial. Hence we correct the inexact result and give the exact maximal algebraic degree.

  • Recently, rotation symmetric Boolean functions have attracted attention since they are suitable for fast evaluation and show good cryptographic properties. For example, important problems in coding theory were settled by searching the desired functions in the rotation symmetric function space. Moreover, they are applied to designing fast hashing algorithms. On the other hand, for some homogeneous rotation symmetric quadratic functions of simple structure, the exact formulas for their Hamming weights and nonlinearity were found[2,8]. Very recently, more formulations were carried out for much broader class of the functions[6]. In this paper, we make a further improvement by deriving the formula for the Hamming weight of quadratic rotation symmetric functions containing linear terms.

  • In many instances a concise form of logic is often required for building today's complex systems. The method described in this paper can be used for a wide range of industrial applications that requires Boolean type of logic minimization. Unlike some of the previous logic minimization methods, the proposed method can be used to better gain insights into the logic minimization process. Based on the decimal valued matrix, the method described here can be used to find an exact minimized solution for a given Boolean function. It is a visual based method that primarily relies on grouping the cell values within the matrix. At the same time, the method is systematic to the extent that it can also be computerized. Constructing the matrix to visualize a logic minimization problem should be relatively easy for the most part, particularly if the computer-generated graphs are accompanied.

  • DD(Decision Diagrams) is an efficient operational data structure for an optimal expression of boolean functions. In a graph-based synthesis using DD, the goal of optimization decreases representation space for boolean functions. This paper represents boolean functions using OPKFDD(Ordered Pseudo-Kronecker Functional Decision Diagrams) for a graph-based synthesis and is based on the number of nodes as the criterion of DD size. For a property of OPKFDD that is able to select one of different decomposition types for each node, OPKFDD is variable in its size by the decomposition types selection of each node and input variable order. This paper proposes a method for generating OPKFDD efficiently from the current BDD(Binary Decision Diagram) Data structure and an algorithm for minimizing one. In the multiple output functions, the relations of each function affect the number of nodes of OPKFDD. Therefore this paper proposes a method to decide the input variable order considering the above cases. Experimental results of comparing with the current representation methods and the reordering methods for deciding input variable order are shown.

  • In this study, a GIS spatial analysis method adopted fuzzy concept was introduced and land suitability analysis of waste landfill were conducted through this method. Previous studies conducted site evaluation and land suitability analysis by appling spatial overlay of conventional GIS that based on the boolean logic of crisp set. However these method can not consider the uncertainty of spatial data and the incongruity of data classification criteria, because these method handle spatial data based on the boolean logic of crisp set. As not provided trustable analysis result, conventional GIS spatial overlay method lacks opportunity for expanding use in reality. This study selected waste landfill as facility for analysis and applied fuzzy spatial analysis method as an objective approach. In the concrete contents of study, a series process with regard to the definition procedure of membership function for continuous data and the fuzzy input value generation of spatial data for fuzzy analysis is established. As a result, in this study we proposed a method that derive parameters for deciding the membership function of spatial data by considering the criterion of data classification and factor selection for land suitability analysis of waste landfill.

  • In this paper we study the structures and properties of a single cycle T-finction, whose theory has been lately proposed by Klimov and Shamir. Any cryptographic system based on T-functions may be insecure. Some of the TSC-series stream ciphers have been successfully attacked by some attacks. So it is important to analyze every aspect of a single cycle T-function. We study some properties on a single cycle T-function and we show some examples are single cycle T-functions by these properties, whose proof is easier than existing methods.
