In order for utilization of the concrete filled tubular, It Is necessary to scrutinize interfacial characteristics between heterogeneous materials, and be performed to various analytical studies on the composite structure. In this paper, this analytic study is carried on using ABAQUS Package/ Version 5.8-1, and the variables aye the relations between the coefficient of friction and the contact pressure for analyzing the behavior on the contact surface, through modifying the analytic methods and improving some problems. It is used to subdivided analytical methods in this research which categorize into four regions and can obtain closer effect for the bond behavior. Four categories compose of the chemical bond and mechanical bond legions replaced the full-interaction before yielding, and the pure friction and moving-down regions after yielding.
The development of new spraying processes has increased the demand for high quality protective coatings. Many thermal spraying processes have been developed to obtain coatings for a wide spectrum of materials and substrates. The plasma spray process was used to deposit coatings of WC-12%Co powders on mild steel substrate, and the characteristics of as-sprayed and vacuum heat treated coatings have been investigated. The variations of microhardness and bond strength in WC-12%Co coatings after heat treatment under vacuum circumstance have been investigated. The effects of phases and morphologies of WC-12%Co coatings have been investigated by utilizing X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, respectively. The microhardness and bond strength of the coatings were increased with increasing the temperature in the temperature range of $700^{circ}C~1000^{\circ}C$. The bond strength was obtained 49 MPa after vacuum heat treatment at $1000^{\circ}C$.

Description of the behavior of the R.C structural members fixed on massive concrete is not normally generalization of recognized configuration for regular R.C. design guidanes. This can be due to the complexity of evaluation of internal resistancy and deflection changes of the members subjected to the various external forces. On the base of axially loaded member fixed on footing, however, the estimation of deflection changes due to flexural force shear force and rotational force is to be carried out in ways of specifying the bond characteristics of axial bars embedded in massive concrete. This work is to quantify adhesion of steel-concrete, initial concrete cracking stress near bar rib, maximum bond stress and residual stress in concrete respectively. In addition to quantification of them for particulate behavior, the suggestions of multi-linear bond stress-slip diagram made in carrying out finite element analyses for adhesion failure, examining concrete cracking status and reviewing existing experimental data lead to alternatively constructed relationship between bond stress and slip for a axial bars embedded massive concrete.

Recently, epoxy-coated re-bar used to the structure partly and put to practical use step, but not economical and appeared to the defect of deterioration of long term bond strength between concrete. The method for complement the defect of epoxy coated re-bar, study of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar started and basic properties appeared to excellent, but study of bond properties embedded in concrete specimens insufficient until now. This study attempts to examination of using possibility for bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete specimens compare to ACI Code and KS Code through pull-out test of 15cm$\times$15cm$\times$15cm specimens with polymer cement slurry coated re-bar as polymer cement ratio 50%, 100%, 150%, coating thickness 250${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, 440${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ and curing age. In the results of this study, the bond strength of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar compare to plain re-bar, epoxy coated re-bar decreased St/BA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar, but bond strength of PA-modified polymer cement slurry coated re-bar appeared to excellent results. The bond properties of polymer cement slurry coated re-bar between concrete will be obtain more precise results according to compressive strength change of concrete and re-bar diameter size.

This research defined slip function using cracking behavior, bond characteristics and numerical analysis of cracking stabilized reinforced concrete member, and proposed a bond stres-slip model.
Recently, it is increased the use of High-Strength Light-Weight Concrete(HLC) in the high-rise buildings and mega-structures. But there are a few research on the bond behavior of HLC, so it need to study about that. The present study was performed to investigate the bond characteristics of HLC. Major test variables include concrete compressive strength(f'c), concrete cover(c), bond length (${\ell}_{db}$), and bar diameter($d_b$). Test results indicate that the bond stress of HLC is increased with the increment of $\sqrt{f'_c}$ and concrete cover, bond stress is decreased with increment of bond length and bar diameter. And the final failure mode such as splitting or pullout failure is significantly affected by the concrete cover to bar diameter ratios(C/$d_b$). Test results were compared with ACI code and other proposed equations. The bond stress of HLC is higher than that of normal-strength normal-weight concrete, but lower than that of high-strength normal-weight concrte. Considering the present test results, modification factor(${\lambda}$= 1.3) of bond length in ACI 318-95 code for light-weight concrete is may have to be reviewed to apply to HLC.

Bonded concrete overlay is a favorable maintenance method since the material properties are similar to existing concrete pavements. In addition, bonded concrete overlay has advantage of structural performance based on being bonded together, both for the overlay layer and the existing pavement which perform as one monolithic layer. Therefore, it is important to have a suitable bond strength criteria for long term performance of bonded concrete overlay. This study aimed to investigate the affecting of bond strength on various bond characteristics, and to compare the bond strength between direct tensile test and indirect tensile test due to various conditions such as overlay materials, compressive and flexure strength of existing pavement, and deterioration status of existing pavement. As a result of this study, bond strength occurred by both of direct and indirect tensile test due to monotonic load is highly correlated such as coefficient of determination of 0.75 and P-value of 0.002. However, bond strength by indirect tensile test was relatively higher than bond strength by direct tensile test. It was known that correlation between direct and indirect tensile test was possible to use the characteristics analysis of bond fatigue behavior based on bond strength due to cyclic load which can simulate real field behavior of bonded concrete overlay.

An innovative packaging solution, Flip Chip with Copper (Cu) Column bond on lead (BOL) Enhanced Process (fcCuBE$^{(R)}$) delivers a cost effective, high performance packaging solution over typical bond on capture pad (BOC) technology. These advantages include improved routing efficiency on the substrate top layer thus allowing conversion functionality; furthermore, package cost is lowered by means of reduced substrate layer count and removal of solder on pad (SOP). On the other hand, as electronic packaging technology develops to meet the miniaturization trend from consumer demand, reliability testing will become an important issue in advanced technology area. In particular, electromigration (EM) of flip chip bumps is an increasing reliability concern in the manufacturing of integrated circuit (IC) components and electronic systems. This paper presents the results on EM characteristics on BOL and BOC structures under electrical current stressing in order to investigate the comparison between two different typed structures. EM data was collected for over 7000 hours under accelerated conditions (temperatures: $125^{\circ}C$, $135^{\circ}C$, and $150^{\circ}C$ and stress current: 300 mA, 400 mA, and 500 mA). All samples have been tested without any failures, however, we attempted to find morphologies induced by EM effects through cross-sectional analysis and investigated the interfacial reaction characteristics between BOL and BOC structures under current stressing. EM damage was observed at the solder joint of BOC structure but the BOL structure did not show any damage from the effects of EM. The EM data indicates that the fcCuBE$^{(R)}$ BOL Cu column bump provides a significantly better EM reliability.

Fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) sheets have been successfully used to retrofit a number of existing concrete buildings and structures because of their excellent properties (high strength, light weight and high durability). Bond characteristics between FRP sheets and concrete should be investigated to ensure an effective retrofitting system. RC structures strengthened with FRP sheets are often subjected to cyclic load (traffic, seismic, temperature, etc.). This research addresses a local bond stress-slip relationship under cyclic loading conditions for the FRP-concrete interface. 18 specimens were prepared with three types of FRP sheets (aramid, carbon, and polyacetal) and two types of sheet layer(one or two). The characteristics of bond stress-slip were verified through experimental results on load-displacement relationship.
The structures of 1-fluorosilatrane and the silatranyl cation were calculated by Hartree-Fock (HF), Mofller-Plesset second order (MP2), and various density functional theory (DFT) methods using many different basis sets, demonstrating that the Si-N bonds in two species are quite different. The N${\rightarrow}$Si bond distance of 1-fluorosilatrane from the hybrid DFT calculations $({\sim}2.32{\AA})$ using the Perdew-Wang correlation functional agrees with the gas phase experimental value $(2.324{\AA})$, while other functionals yield larger distances. The MP2 bond distance (2.287${\AA}$ with 6-311$G^{\ast}$) is shorter, and the HF one (2.544 ${\AA}$ with 6-311$G^{\ast}$) larger than those of DFT calculations. The MP2 bond distance is in good agreement with experiment indicating that the electron correlations are crucial for the correct description of the N${\rightarrow}$Si interaction. The silatranyl cation is a stable local minimum on the potential energy surface in all methods employed suggesting that the cation could be a reaction intermediate. The Si-N bond length for the cation is about 1.87 ${\AA}$ for all calculations tested implying that the Si-N bond is mainly conventional. Bonding characteristics of the Si-N bond in two species derived from the natural bond orbital analysis support the above argument based on calculated bond lengths.
