The concept of stress wave was introduced through the quantized kinetic energy which is related to the potentional energy change of atom, molecular bond energy. Differentiated molecular bond energy $\varphi$() by the lst order displacement u becomes force F(F = d$\varphi$($u_i$)/du), if resversely stated, causing physically atomic displacement $u_i$. Such physical phenomena lead stress(force/area of applied force) can be expressed by wave equation of linearly quantized physical property. Through the stress wave concept, formation of dislocation, which could not explained easily from a theory of continuum mechanics, can be explained. Moreover, this linearly quantized stress wave equation with a stress concept for grains in a crystalline solid was applied to three typical metallic microstructures and a simple shape. The result appears to be a product from well treated equations of a quantized stress wave. From this result, it can be expected to answer the reason why the defect free and very fine diameters of long crystalline shapes exhibit ideal tensile strength of materials.

The paper is presented experimental study results on bond stress between profiled steel and concrete in Profiled SPC(Profiled Steel Plate Concrete) rectangular steel tubes through an experimental program in which 13 pull-out specimens were tested. Advantages and class of composite members and current problems of construction work are noted, past research of PSSC is described. An experimental study is described and evaluated. The bond capacity is interrelated with slip at the steel concrete interface. The factors influencing the mechanism of bond stress transfer were the cross section shape, length/diameter, diameter/thickness and environmental parameters (temperature, moisture). The results of experimental program indicated that the force transfer could be characterized into two regions The first region was governed by bond with no relative slip between the profiled steel and concrete. The second region occurs after the chemical debonding. Bond stress transfer in this region was governed by frictional resistance between profiled steel and concrete and cross section shapes. The important factors influencing the magnitude of frictional resistance are the profiled steel shapes, length/diameter and environmental parameters. (temperature, moisture)
Carbon fiber sheet(CFS) has been widely used for strengthening of the concrete building structures due to its excellent physical properties such as high strength, light weight and high durability. Bond strength or behavior, on the other hands, between carbon fiber sheet and concrete is very important in strengthening the concrete member using CFS. Therefore the bond failure mechanism between CFS and concrete should be fully verified and understood. This study is to investigate the bond strength of CFS to the concrete by the direct pull-out test and the tensile-shear test. In the direct pull-out tests, the bond strength under the various environmental conditions such as curing temperature, surface condition on concrete and water content of concrete are evaluated. Also, the effective bond length, lu and the average bond stress, $\tau$y are examined in the tensile-shear tests. Based on the test results, it is concluded that the curing temperature is the most critical element for the bond strength between CFS and concrete. And, the proper value of lu and $\tau$y is recommended with 15 cm and 9.78∼ 11.88 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ respectively.

This study presents a strut-and-tie model for the development of headed bars in an exterior beam-column joint with transverse reinforcements. The tensile force of a headed bar is considered to be developed by head bearing together with bond along a bonded length as a partial embedment length. The model requires construction of struts with biaxially compressed nodal zones for head bearing and fan-shaped stress fields against neighboring nodal zones for bond stresses along the bonded length. Due to the existence of transverse reinforcements, the fan-shaped stress fields are divided into direct and indirect fan-shaped stress fields. A required development length and head size of a headed bar can be optimally designed by adjusting a proportion between a bond contribution and bearing contribution.

This study includes the experimental investigation on the fatigue-bond behavior with respect to the various rates of steel corrosion. Major criteria of test variables are the rates of steel corrosion by chloride ion and the ratio of the applied stress to the bond failure stress. According to the test results, the slip versus number of load cycles relation was found to be approximately linear in double logarithmic scale, not only without steel corrosion but also with steel corrosion. This research will be helpful for the realistic durability design and condition assessment of reinforced concrete structures.
The transfer of forces across the interface by bond between concrete and steel is of fundamentul importance to many aspects of reinforced concrete behavior. Bond stress-slip relationships were studied using a symmetri¬cal tension test specimen. This type of test is intended to simulate conditions in the tension zone of a concrete beam between primary cracks and below the neutral axis. These relationships between local bond stress and local slip are found to be quite different at different locations along the bar. The bond behavior under cyclic lo¬ading is also studied in the present study, and the increase of bond slip and steel strains is clarified from those tests.
This paper reports the experimental and analytical investigations for evaluating the flexural strength of a RC slab strengthened with carbon fiber sheet (CFS). The evaluation of the ultimate flexural strength of a slab is tried under the assumption that the failure occurs when the shear stress mobilized at the interface between the concrete bottom and the glued CFS reaches its bond strength. The shear stress is evaluated theoretically and the bond strength is obtained by a laboratory test. The ultimate flexural strength is obtained by flexural static test of the slab specimen, which corresponds to the part of a real slab. From the results, the new approach based on the bond strength between concrete and CFS looks feasible to evaluate the flexural strength of the CFS and RC composite slab.

Plasma silicon oxynitride film has been applied as a final passivation layer for semiconductor devices, because it has high resistance to humidity and prevents from alkali ion's penetration, and has low film stress. Structure properties of plasma silicon oxynitride film have been studied experimentally by the use of FT-IR, AES, stress gauge and ellipsometry. In this experiment,Si-N bonds increase as NS12TO/(NS12TO+NHS13T) gas ratio increases. Peaks of Si-N bond, Si-H bond and N-H bond were shifted to high wavenumber according to NS12TO/(NS12TO+NHS13T) gas ratio increase. Absorption peaks of Si-H bond were decreased by furnace anneal at 90$0^{\circ}C$. The atomic composition of film represents that oxygen atoms increase as NS12TO/(NS12TO+NHS13T) gas ratio increases, to the contrary, nitrogen atoms decrease.

The bonding of steel bar to concrete is closely related to the roughness and corrosion degree of steel bar surface. The accelerated corrosion of concrete specimens with different reinforcement diameters was carried out in this test. Through the pullout test of the corroded concrete specimens, the relationship between the bond stress and the displacement of the corroded concrete specimens under the corresponding corrosion degree was obtained. The bond stress of reinforced concrete with different size and corrosion degree are compared and analyzed to find out the influence of corrosion on the bonding property of reinforced concrete.

An analytic study on the bond stress between steel tube and concrete in concrete filled steel(CFT) tublar column is presented in this paper. Recently buildings need members which are enhanced durability and ductility. Concrete filled tublar column system is proposed as alternative plan. In this paper, ABAQUS/Standard Version 5.8 which is identified as usefulness for finite element analysis and has various element library is used. The variables in this study are the location and type of shear-connector. The modeling ell contact problem practiced by Contact Pair and Contact Pressure method. In the step of physical bond, it is practiced by Change friction option. After yielding of models, analytic results is less than that of experimental results.
