외기온도와 환수온도를 이용한 보일러의 공급수온도설정 (Boiler Supply Water Temperature Setting by Outside Air Temperature and Return Water Temperature)

  • Condensing gas boiler units may make a big role for the reduction of energy consumption in heating industries. In order to decrease the energy consumption of a boiler unit, the effective operation is necessary. In this study, the supply water temperature algorithm of a condensing gas boiler was developed. This includes the setpoint algorithm and the control algorithm of the supply water temperature. The setpoint algorithm was developed by the fuzzy logic and the control algorithm was developed by the proportional integral algorithm. In order to analyse the performance of the supply water temperature algorithm, the dynamic model of a condensing gas boiler system was used. Simulation results showed that the supply water temperature algorithm developed for this study may be practically applied for the control of the condensing gas boiler.

  • This paper describes a duplexed process control system for a boiler-turbine system of power plant, which is composed of supervisor, controller, and simulater subsystems. Its embeded POL(Problem oriented language) as a structured control language enables this system to do a real-time distributed control and fault diagnosis by simple programming with the actual implementation of advanced control algorithms such as PID autotuning and GPC, etc, the performance of overall system has been greatly enhanced.

  • The control objective of drum level of boiler in thermal power plant is to maintain drum level at constant setpoint regardless of disturbance such as main steam flow. The initial response of the drum level loop process is in a direction opposite to the final response. The drum level loop shows inverse response when the power is changed abruptly. We adopt fuzzy controller using knowledge base considering system dynamics for controlling drum level. Finally, the simulation result using the digital simulator for boiler system in Seoul Power Plant Unit 4 shows the validity of fuzzy controller.

  • I보일러-터빈 설비는 화력발전소의 주전원설비 내지 자가발전설비로서 보일러는 연료를 연소시켜 그 열을 수관내의 물에 전달하여 필요한 증기를 얻는 설비이고, 터빈은 보일러에서 보내온 고온, 고압의 증기를 팽창시켜 기계적 에너지로 변환하여 그 에너지로 발전기를 회전하여 전기를 얻는 장치이다. 보일러-터빈 설비는 전기적 출력과 드럼내의 증기압 및 수위를 적절히 조절함으로써 발전소의 안정된 운전을 도모하고 발전용 연료의 절감 및 이를 통한 공해 저감을 이루어야 할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 보일러-터빈 설비에 대한 제어시스템을 설계하는 한 방법으로서 기준모델 추종형 퍼지 시스템을 제안한다. 보일러-터빈 설비는 다변수 비선형 시스템으로서 일반적인 제어시스템 구성이 힘들지만, 오버슈트가 없으며 속응성이 좋은 기준모델을 선정하고 이 기준모델을 추종하도록 하는데 일반적인 1입력-1출력 퍼지제어기만을 적용하여도 기준신호에 대한 추종성 및 외란제거 능력 그리고 모델링 오차에 대한 강인성까지 나타내는 제어시스템의 설계가 가능하게 되었다. 따라서 전원설비로서의 보일러-터빈 설비에 대한 효율적인 제어시스템 설계방법으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Boiler design should be desinged to maximize thermal efficiency of the system under imposed load requirement and a boiler should be validated for transient operation. If a proper prediction is possible on the transient behavior and transient characteristics of a boiler, one may asses the performance of boiler component, control logics and operation procedures. In this work, dynamic modeling method of boiler is presented and dynamic simulation of load runback scenario was carried out on suprecritical oil-firing boiler.

  • In this paper, the decentralized adaptive control scheme is applied to the control of drum type boiler system. Because the scheme requires the stability of interconnections, static feedback is used to satisfy the requirement of the scheme. From a priori knowledge of the system, system parameter estimates are bounded to prevent parameter drifting. Computer simulation shows that the decentralized adaptive control is suitable for the control of drum type boiler system and robust in the presence of disturbance.

  • As a means of improving the reliability of a process control system, a FTCS(Fault Tolerant Control System) is designed and applied to the boiler controller of a thermal power plant. The proposed FTCS has capabilities of fault detection and diagnosis as well as back-up control and bumpless switching. A prototype of FTCS is implemented on an IBM PC as an add-on system and it is experimentally verified by using a boiler process simulator together with simplified analog controllers and a switching unit that an one-fold fault is detected in real time and back-up controller takes over the role of the original controller, controlling the faulty loop.

  • Because the existing control system has been operating for about 20 years, it is necessary to upgrade the system for stable and efficient operation. But, there is a difficulty in maintenance by difference of manufacturer of each main control systems for boiler, turbine and generator. This developed IMCS(Integrated Monitoring and Control System) consists of more than 10,000 inputs and outputs for large scale thermal power plant. This paper consists of the development journey of IMCS MBC(mill and burner control) ; core binary protection & monitoring logic including prevention circuit of boiler explosion & implosion. In this project, the IMCS for boiler, turbine and generator was developed on basis of one communications platform. In this paper, the whole journey of development of IMCS MBC is dealt with designing software and hardware, coding application software, and validating software and hardware.

  • This paper proposes a new approach of plant fault diagnosis which is based on detecting the characteristic pattern signals and associating them with the corresponding faults. The new approach does not require analytic modeling of the target system but best reflects the expertise embedded in the experienced human operation by mimicking them in a systematic way. This paper intends to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed by developing the algorithms to detect and estimate the typical characteristic pattern signals, I. e., oscillatory patterns, and applying them to the diagnosis of various faults of a 500MW boiler control system including tube rupture, feed-water leak, and controller failure.

  • In this paper, a control system using robust H.inf. controller based on convex parametrization is presented for nonlinear system with uncertainty. accounting for the time delay, noise and linearization error by frequency analysis, the suboptmal controller is designed to meet robust stability and performance for uncertainty. The desinged control system is applied to a nonlimear boiler moderl to test its performances.
