자동차용 고무부품에 대한 대변형 유한요소해석 (Large deformation finite element analysis for automotive rubber components)

  • The objective of this study is to analyze the static and dynamic characteristics of automotive rubber components by computer simulation. Bush / rectangular type engine mounts and wind shield weather strip are analyzed by using the commercial code ABAQUS and the results are verified by experiments. Large deformation static response is analyzed in order to get the information about the deformation pattern and static stiffness of engine mounts, and about the seperation force of wind shield weather strip from body. The isothermal steady-state dynamic response of components which have been subjected to an initial static pre-load is analyzed for the dynamic stiffness of engine mount rubber components. There are good agreements between simulation and experiments. So it is possible to apply the computer simulation to the design of automotive rubber components.

DYNAMIC ANALYSIS AND DESIGN CALCULATION METHODS FOR POWERTRAIN MOUNTING SYSTEMS

  • A method for dynamic analysis and design calculation of a Powertrain Mounting System(PMS) including Hydraulic Engine Mounts(HEM) is developed with the aim of controlling powertrain motion and reducing low-frequency vibration in pitch and bounce modes. Here the pitch mode of the powertrain is defined as the mode rotating around the crankshaft of an engine for a transversely mounted powertrain. The powertrain is modeled as a rigid body connected to rigid ground by rubber mounts and/or HEMs. A mount is simplified as a three-dimensional spring with damping elements in its Local Coordinate System(LCS). The relation between force and displacement of each mount in its LCS is usually nonlinear and is simplified as piecewise linear in five ranges in this paper. An equation for estimating displacements of the powertrain center of gravity(C.G.) under static or quasi-static load is developed using Newton's second law, and an iterative algorithm is presented to calculate the displacements. Also an equation for analyzing the dynamic response of the powertrain under ground and engine shake excitations is derived using Newton's second law. Formulae for calculating reaction forces and displacements at each mount are presented. A generic PMS with four rubber mounts or two rubber mounts and two HEMs are used to validate the dynamic analysis and design calculation methods. Calculated displacements of the powertrain C.G. under static or quasi-static loads show that a powertrain motion can meet the displacement limits by properly selecting the stiffness and coordinates of the tuning points of each mount in its LCS using the calculation methods developed in this paper. Simulation results of the dynamic responses of a powertrain C.G. and the reaction forces at mounts demonstrate that resonance peaks can be reduced effectively with HEMs designed on the basis of the proposed methods.

7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA) 투여에 의한 랫드 유선암 모델에서 ex-vivo 면역치료 효과 (Effects of the ex-vivo Immunotherapy on the Mammary Gland Tumorigenesis Induced by 7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene(DMBA) in rats)

  • This study was examined on the effect of ex-vivo immunotherapy in 7, 12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA)-induced rat mammary carcinogenesis. Sprague-Dawley female 40 rats were divided into Jour groups. As a positive control, Group I was intubated with DMBA, 5 mg /100 g body weight and single dose, at experimental onset. Group II was treated ex-vivo immunotherapy with polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid (Poly I : C) and Group III was treated with Interleukin-2 (IL-2). Group IV was negative control. All rats were sacrificed at 16 weeks after DMBA intubation. Mammary gland wet weight, dry fat free tissue weight, incidence of tumor, and the number of lobules, alveolar buds, terminal end buds, and terminal ducts were examined. Morphological changes of the mammary gland after treated with DMBA were analyzed by whole mount and histopathological method. As results, the induced mammary tumors of Group I, II and III were 60%, 33% and 0%, respectively. Histopathological types of induced-mammary tumors were adenoma, adenocarcinoma and carcinosarcoma. In analysis of the whole mount method, the number of the terminal end buds, terminal ducts and lobules were significantly lower in Group II (p<0.01) and III (p<0.01) than DMBA alone treated Group I. In microscopic observation, hyperplastic alveolar nodules were significantly lower in Group III than Group I (p<0.01). In conclusion, IL-2 had strong inhibitory effect on the mammary gland tumorigenesis induced by DMBA in rats. Whole mount method may be a useful technique to assess the mammary carcinogenesis. Moreover, hyperplastic alveolar nodules were very sensitive parameter to assess the mammary carcinogenesis.

방탄시험의 효과적 운영을 위한 시료거치 시스템 개발 (Development of Item Mounting System for Effective Operation of Bulletproof Test)

  • 본 연구는 방탄시험의 효과적인 운영을 위해 시험절차를 분석하여 문제점을 도출하고, 개선방안으로 시료거치 시스템을 개발하였다. 기존 시스템에서 도출된 문제점은 다양한 시료 형태 및 다양한 시험규격의 적용이 불가능한 점과 장비조작의 불편함 및 과다한 시험 준비시간이었다. 이를 개선하기 위한 시료거치 시스템은 기본베이스, 거치대, 각종 조절부로 구분된다. 다목적 거치대와 헬멧 거치대는 다양한 크기와 형상의 시료를 거치 및 다양한 규격을 시험할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 다목적 거치대는 방탄복 시험을 위한 후면재 지지대와 호환된다. 시료 고정틀은 내부에 위치하여 별도의 탈/부착 과정이 없이 수직 이동 및 고정을 통해 다양한 크기와 형상의 시료를 거치할 수 있도록 설계하였다. 기본베이스는 표준화하여 거치대와 호환이 용이하도록 설계하였고, 탄착점 위치 조절부는 자동으로 높이와 수평 이동조정이 가능하여 신속하고 정확하게 탄착점 설정이 가능하도록 설계하였다. 시스템의 경제성을 분석하기 위해 시스템 도입 전과 후를 기준으로 실제 운영데이터를 비교/분석한 결과, 시험 건수, 장비활용률은 대폭 증가하고 시간당 비용은 감소하였다.

『전경』에 기록된 사명당(四明堂)의 풍수 물형(物形) 연구 (A Study on the Fengshui Shapes of the Four Propitious Sites Recorded in The Canonical Scripture)

  • 본 논문은 『전경』에 기록된 사명당의 물형을 토대로 역대 풍수고서 등에서 말하는 풍수적 명당의 조건인 용, 혈, 사, 수의 이치에 부합하는지를 현장답사와 전통적인 풍수서의 이론을 토대로 전반적인 국세의 부합 여부를 살펴보았다. 전통적인 풍수 이론을 토대로 살펴볼 때, 첫번째로 순창 회문산의 오선위기형의 용맥은 단단한 토질과 암반으로 구성되어 있고 거미줄처럼 얽히고설켜 전후좌우로 구불구불 꺾이고 끊어질 듯 이어지는 산줄기가 엎드리고 일어나기를 반복하는 변화의 산세를 이루고 있다. 두 번째로 무안 승달산의 호승예불형의 풍수적 특징은 승달산의 정상부에서 뻗어 나간 용맥의 좌우로 골을 형성하며 받쳐주는 지각과 견고하게 산맥을 지탱해주는 요도가 잘 발달 되어 있다. 이는 마치 용이 좌우로 꿈틀거리듯 굴곡의 변화가 높고 낮게 엎드리고 일어나는 용맥의 변화가 뛰어남을 알 수 있다. 세 번째로 장성 손룡선녀직금형의 형세는 전반적으로 산과 물이 유정하고 주산과 안산이 단정하며 물이 나가는 수구가 꽉 잠긴 듯하여 기운이 새어나가지 않고, 청룡, 백호, 주작, 현무가 서로 다정하여 물줄기가 길게 감싸는 곳이다. 흙과 암반이 뒤섞인 사이로 혈이 맺힌 손룡 일대는 뛰어난 풍수적 대명당의 적지로 볼 수 있다. 네 번째로 태인 배례전의 군신봉조형의 풍수적 특징은 주산과 안산의 주객이 분명하다. 마을 앞을 흐르는 물줄기가 횡수국으로 마을을 감싸며 산수음양의 기운이 합하여 생기를 품은 지기가 살아 숨 쉬는 국세를 이루고 있다. 산줄기인 용맥은 인체의 혈관과 같고 용은 인체의 수족에 비유됨으로 태인 배례전의 군신봉조형은 하늘과 땅이 스스로 이룬 명당대지임을 알 수 있다.

자유경계 조건에서의 질량선에 의한 강체특성 규명 (Identification of the Rigid Body Properties using the Mass-line of F.R.F. in Free-boundary Condition)

  • The rigid body properties of a structure may be estimated easily if the mass-line of the structure could be taken exactly. However, the exact mass-line cannot be obtained experimentally. In the past years, the modal analysis for which the structure is mounted on the flexible supporter is frequently used to acquire the mass-line. Unfortunately, it is difficult not only to mount the structure but also to decouple the coupled 6 dof mode. If the structure is pended by very long and flexible rope to act free, the rigid-body modes influenced by the rope will be eliminated and the improved mass-line will be obtained. In this paper, the method using the mass-line of F.R.F. for rigid body in free-condition is suggested. The robustness of the suggested method was tested and verified numerically. The experimental results also showed a good agreement with the true value.

평행봉 Basket to Handstand 기술 훈련 프로그램 적용을 통한 향상도 평가 (Improving Evaluation of the Basket-to-Handstand Mount by a Technical Training Program on Parallel Bars)

  • 본 연구는 Basket to hdst. 기술에 대한 훈련 프로그램을 적응하고 프로그램 전과 후의 차이를 3차원 영상분석법을 사용하여 운동학적으로 비교 분석하여 과학적인 자료를 제시함으로써 기술 동작의 향상도를 규명하고자 실시하였으며, 그 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. Basket to hdst. 동작에서 P1 하강 스윙 시, 신체중심을 후방에 두면서 고관절을 빠르게 굴곡 시켜주고, 견관절각은 최대한 일정하게 유지하도록 지도하여야 하며, 적용 결과 다소 향상된 것으로 나타났다. P2에서는 신체중심이 전방으로 향하지 않도록 하고 빠른 상하 속도를 유도하여 수직 상승으로 이어질 수 있도록 하며 Tap swing의 탄력을 최대한 이용하여 견관절과 고관절을 빠르게 신전시켜 주어야 하는 것으로 나타났다. P3에서는 안정된 공중 동작을 위해 수직 속도를 증가시키는 것이 중요하며, 양 손이 평행봉을 다시 잡을 때, 견관절과 고관절을 신전시켜 물구나무서기에 가까운 자세로 동작을 마무리해야 하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 위해서는 지도자가 보조하여 수직 상승 할 수 있도록 지도하는 것이 중요하다.

Physical Traits Versus the Buck's Reproductive Abilities

  • Highly significant correlation (p < 0.001) was found between body weight and chest circumference of the local Katjang and cross-bred (local Katjang ♀ ${\times}$ German Fawn ♂ bucks under study. Increase in body length, chest circumference, depth of chest and height at withers (p < 0.001) reflected significantly the increase in body weight of the bucks. At the same age the cross-breds were bigger than the indigenous breed. No significant correlation was detected between body weight and scrotal circumference, or the latter with sperm counts in both buck types under study. However, the fluid portion of the semen increased in acidity and volume, the latter being significant (P < 0.01) in the local Katjangs, with increase in scrotal circumference. Although the effects of body condition on buck libido of both groups were not significant, the reaction time taken to mount the teaser females were significantly diminished (p < 0.001) with better body condition, at least in the local Katjangs. The reaction time gad an inverse, though not necessarily significant, relationship with semen characteristics such as volume, pH (in local Katjangs, p < 0.05), concentration, color (in cross-breds, p < 0.05), agglutination and mass movements in both phenotypes.

PROCESS OF DESIGNING BODY STRUCTURES FOR THE REDUCTION OF REAR SEAT NOISE IN PASSENGER CAR

  • This study analyzes the interior noise that is generated during acceleration of a passenger car in terms of car body structure and panel contribution. According to the transfer method, interior noise is classified into structure-borne noise and air-borne noise. Structure-borne noise is generated when the engine's vibration energy, an excitation source, is transferred to the car body through the engine mount and the driving system and the panel of the car body vibrates. When structure-borne noise resonates in the acoustic cavity of the car interior, acute booming noise is generated. This study describes plans for improving the car body structure and the panel form through a cause analysis of frequency ranges where the sound pressure level of the rear seat relative to the front seat is high. To this end, an analysis of the correlation between body attachment stiffness and acoustic sensitivity as well as a panel sensitive component analysis were conducted through a structural sound field coupled analysis. Through this study, via research on improving the car body structure in terms of reducing rear seat noise, stable performance improvement and light weight design before the proto-car stage can be realized. Reduction of the development period and test car stage is also anticipated.

IGRINS : Mirror Mounts Optomechanical Design

  • The Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI) and the Department of Astronomy at the University of Texas at Austin (UT) are developing a near infrared wide-band high resolution spectrograph, IGRINS (Immersion Grating Infrared Spectrograph). The white-pupil design of the instrument optics uses 7 cryogenic mirrors including 3 aspherical off-axis collimators and 4 flat fold mirrors. Two of the 3 collimators are H- and K-band pupil transfer mirrors and they are designed as compensators for the system alignment in each channel. Therefore, their mount design will be one of the most sensitive parts in the IGRINS optomechanical system. The other flat fold mirrors are designed within the limited area. Each of those includes the features of 3 axial hard points and 2 radial hard points with one spring plunger in order for the proper deflection of the mirror. The design work will include the computer-aided 3D modeling and finite element analysis (FEA) to optimize the structural stability and the thermal behavior of the mount models. The mount body will also include a tip-tilt and translation adjustment mechanism to be used as the alignment compensators.
