As per the recent technology related to safety of vehicles, Active safety system is being developed in combination withthe technology of electronic system. For example, ABC(Active Body Control), ABS(Antilock Brake System), ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) are representative of this system. This technology is based on an electronic system, and shares a lot of data through network-system invehicles. Therefore, the control-algorism and the practicable application are realized in this research in order that CAN, network system for vehicles can run the brake device, which is composed mechanically and hand-operated. Additionally the possibility is confirmed that this control-system can be compatible with the existing electronic system in vehicles.

The power consumption of wearable sensors and electrocardiogram regulators should be very low to extend the network lifetime and anticipated QoS( : Quality of Service) control such as error correction and authentication of data processed by WBAN( : Wireless Body Area Network) nodes is important. Therefore, QoS control is the most urgent concern to implement WBAN in health monitoring regulations. For optimal QoS control, we compare the energy efficiency and the average number of transmissions with IEEE 802.15.6 and the error correction method considering energy efficiency. The performance of the proposed error correction technique shows that the energy efficiency and the transmission rate are improved by adjusting the coding rate appropriately using the channel estimation.

The cardiovascular syndrome is the dominant reason for death and the number of deaths due to this syndrome has greatly increased recently. Regular cardiac monitoring is crucial in controlling heart parameters, particularly for initial examination and precautions. The quantity of cardiac patients is rising each day and it would increase the load of work for doctors/nurses in handling the patients' situation. Hence, it needed a solution that might benefit doctors/nurses in monitoring the improvement of the health condition of patients in real-time and likewise assure decreasing medical treatment expenses. Regular heart monitoring via wireless body area networks (WBANs) including implantable and wearable medical devices is contemplated as a life-changing technique for medical assistance. This article focuses on the latest development in wearable and implantable devices for cardiovascular monitoring. First, we go through the wearable devices for the electrocardiogram (ECG) monitoring. Then, we reviewed the implantable devices for Blood Pressure (BP) monitoring. Subsequently, the evaluation of leading wearable and implantable sensors for heart monitoring mentioned over the previous six years, the current article provides uncertain direction concerning the description of diagnostic effectiveness, thus intending on making discussion in the technical communal to permit aimed at the formation of well-designed techniques. The article is concluded by debating several technical issues in wearable and implantable technology and their possible potential solutions for conquering these challenges.
This paper deals with the implementation of walking for a humanoid robot by ZMP measurement using wireless sensor network. ZMP is measured by FSR sensors which are mounted at each corner of a sole. The wireless sensor network collects the sensor data according and exchanges robot information between host PC and a robot system. The master controller mounted on robot body receives trajectory data from the host PC via sensor network and drives the joint motor based on trajectory data. The time scheduler of the master controller controls the events at the ratio of 100ms. With this configuration, the walking of the humanoid robot KHR-1 could be realized successfully.
The advances in mass spectrometry-based proteomics technologies have enabled the generation of global proteome data from tissue or body fluid samples collected from a broad spectrum of human diseases. Comparative proteomic analysis of global proteome data identifies and prioritizes the proteins showing altered abundances, called differentially expressed proteins (DEPs), in disease samples, compared to control samples. Protein biomarker candidates that can serve as indicators of disease states are then selected as key molecules among these proteins. Recently, it has been addressed that cellular pathways can provide better indications of disease states than individual molecules and also network analysis of the DEPs enables effective identification of cellular pathways altered in disease conditions and key molecules representing the altered cellular pathways. Accordingly, a number of network-based approaches to identify disease-related pathways and representative molecules of such pathways have been developed. In this review, we summarize analytical platforms for network-based protein biomarker discovery and key components in the platforms.
It is essential to investigate the structure and the main characteristic of Home USN (Ubiquitous Sensor Network) technologies in built ubiquitous environment while designing bio-sensors. For this study, Thermistor elements and Thermopile black body have been selected to implement ubiquitous technologies for bio-sensors and wireless network such as WiBro has been used to transfer sensing data to the BSN (Bio-Sensor Network) gateway. It is certain that efficiency of ubiquitous space design is improved if main components of each specific sensor network are analyzed precisely in digital way and corresponding communication modules are prepared accordingly. Ubiquitous technology, in conclusion, has to be applied not only with systematical mechanism or electronic setting but in human-centered atmosphere as well, keeping with deep consideration for bio-housing service factors in eco-friendly surrounding.
The purpose of this study was to find out the characteristics of the direct workers and the organizations delivering services to the children in low-income families, and to identify major factors that affect the number and degree centrality of service network. The research sample was 141 organizations. and the data were collected by a survey questionnaire and analyzed by UCINET V and multiple regression. The results show that the classification of organizations, the work-autonomy, the license of social welfare have a significant effect on the number of network organization, and the license of social welfare, the subjective body of organizations, the number of children in charge have a significant effect on the degree centrality of service network, among the independent variables. Based on the research results, implications for the future practice are discussed.
A thirty-month-old male Moluccan Cockatoo (Cacatua moluccansis) with mild anorexia was referred. Through physical examination, fireign body was palpated at the crop region. Radiopaque, lineal foreign body was visualized on the lateral radiographs of the thoracic esophageal region. The patient was definitively diagnosed esophageal foreign body which is ingested feeding tube. The foreign body removal was undertaken using a flexible endoscope and a grasping forcep without any other complications. This case report demonstrated that successful esophageal foreign body removal with endoscopy in birds.

In this paper, a modified Alford loop antenna for on-body communication system is proposed. The proposed antenna operating in the ISM band is designed with consideration of human body effect. One of advantages of the Alford loop antenna structure is low-profile, however the Alford loop antenna is not suitable for on-body devices since it does not have a ground plane for other electronic part of on-body system and requires balanced feeding structure. To be embedded on on-body devices, the proposed antenna is design with the unbalanced feed structure and ground. The performance of the proposed antenna is simulated and measured when it is placed on the human body phantom to consider the effect of the human body. The proposed antenna a 10 dB return loss bandwidth over the ISM band and monopole-like radiation pattern with low-profile. The antenna has the surface of appropriate for on-body communication environment.

The field of body sensor networks has attracted interest of many researchers due to its potential to revolutionize medicine. These sensors are usually implanted inside the human body and communicate among themselves. In the process of receiving, processing, or transmitting data, these devices produce heat. This heat damages the tissues surrounding the devices in the case of prolonged exposure. In this paper, to reduce this damages, we have improved and evaluated two protocols-the least temperature routing protocol and adaptive least temperature routing protocol-by implementing clustering as well as a leadership rotation algorithm. We used Castalia to simulate a basic body area network cluster composed of 6 nodes. A throughput application was used to simulate all the nodes sending data to one sink node. Simulations results shows that improved communication protocol with leadership rotation algorithm significantly reduce the energy consumption as compared to a scheme without leadership rotation algorithm.
