The Life Cycle Cost Estimation for Domestic Products Motor Block of KTX-1 Considering Periodic Maintenance (유지보수정보 주기를 고려한 KTX-1 모터블럭 개발품의 수명주기비용 예측)

  • This paper presents the result of life-cycle cost (LCC) estimation for domestic products propulsion control system (motor block unit) of KTX-1 considering periodic maintenance. Life cycle costing is one of the most effective approaches for the cost analysis of long-life systems such as the KTX-1. Life cycle costing includes the cost of concept design, development, manufacture, operation, maintenance and disposal. To estimate LCC for domestic products motor block unit, it was analyzed physical breakdown structure (PBS) on motor unit in view of maintenance cost and unit cost etc. As a results, life cycle cost on motor block unit increased moderately expect for periodical time when major parts are replaced at the same time. hereafter this results will be reflected in the domestic products being developed.

  • Recently, The flexible moving block system in train operation has been introduced to the worldwide rail transportation markets. This paper is a comparative study of the conventional fixed block systems effects and the flexible moving block system on train operating time saving. Based on the literature review, the new algorithm is developed. It is to calculate the optimum headway time of the train. The proposed algorithm can overcome some of the existing algorithm problems, such as the limits of the data and unaware of the rail characteristic. The total travel time saving effect has been analyzed by applying the skip stop scheduling system to the each block system. The results of this study indicated that the total travel time is approximately 40% decreased and the schedule velocity is approximately 24% improved when the moving block system is applied. The results of this study could be used as a theoretical basis for the selection of rail signal system in Seoul's subway number 2 line.

  • Recently, the research for IoT technologies has been established actively, however the structure of centralized network has been pointed out as the vulnerable points. To solve these problems such as system load and security vulnerability, the research to introduce block chain technology is needed. In this paper, we propose the network domain for convergence of block chain and IoT platform, and describe the advantages from the convergence and various and applicable fields.

  • Based on non-completely hybrid flow line scheduling of panel block in shipbuilding, several uncertain factors influencing the problem were analyzed in a real environment, and a nonlinear integer programming model was built for each sub-scheduling problem. To narrow the difference between theory and application, rolling horizon and rescheduling methods are proposed. Moreover, with respect to the uncertainty of processing time, arriving time and due time, we take the minimizing of the early and delayed delivery costs as the objective, and establish an evaluation with a global penalty function. Finally, numerical experiments and a simulation analysis were undertaken to demonstrate the effectiveness of the model and algorithm.

  • Safety, livability, and efficiency are the three prominent problems of tall buildings, which are also the severe challenges to designers. We proposed the idea of building the sky town to solve these problems, which can be summarized in two sentences, one is tall building multi-storised, and another one is vertical facilities municipal-infrastructurised. The tall building can be horizontally cut into several multi-storey buildings by some large platforms. The platform extends a certain width to block the fire from spreading. Tall buildings are connected together as a group. One of them is a traffic core, which is used for vertical transportation and MEP. It connects to traffic center such as metro, while most of the other tall buildings' cores can be very much released, so as to achieve maximum efficiency of floor usable area and to give good traffic organization. By combining traffic core, platforms, and multi-storey buildings' inner traffic, a transportation network is formed. Finally, we refer to the design of Raffles City Chongqing to make a sketch of sky town.

  • A comparative study on the turbulent flaw simulation and the potential flaw analysis has been performed. A law Mach number preconditioned Navier-Stokes solver, using the multi-block grid method and a panel method based on the velocity potential, have been developed and validated by comparison to the experimental data. The present numerical analysis methods are applied to the ground effect problem around the NACA 4412 airfoil. It has been confirmed that the potential flaw analysis on the ground effect, using the image method, is consistent, to some degree, with the viscous calculations for high Reynolds number flows.

  • 이 논문에서는 비휘발성 메모리 (NVRAM)과 DRAM을 결합하여 고속의 신뢰성 있는 하이브리드 블록 스토리지를 개발한다. 기존의 DRAM을 기반으로 하는 리눅스의 RAM 디스크는 고속의 입출력성능을 제공하지만, 시스템 고장이 발행할 경우 모든 데이터를 잃어버리게 된다. 일부에서 DRAM과 하드디스크를 결합하여 시스템 고장에도 안정적으로 데이터를 유지하기 위한 방법이 제안된바 있지만, 입출력 성능이 RAM 디스크에 비해 상당히 저하된다. 이 논문에서는 DRAM, NVRAM, 하드디스크를 결합하여 DRAM의 입출력 성능에 가까우면서 안정적으로 데이터를 저장할수 있는 블록 스토리지를 개발한다.

Petrological Classification and Provenance Interpretation of the Sungnyemun Stone Block Foundation, Korea PDF icon (숭례문 육축 구성석재의 암석학적 분류와 원산지 해석)

  • This study focused on distribution ratio of stone properties based on material characteristic analysis, provenance presumption and transportation route interpretation of the Sungnyemun stone block foundation. The stone block foundation is composed of pinkish granite (56.0%), reddish granite (4.5%) and leucocratic granite (26.2%) of original stones and pinkish granite of new stones(13.3%). The rock-forming minerals for granites are consisted mainly of quartz, alkali-feldspar, plagioclase and biotite, and are similar geochemical evolution trend of major, rare earth, compatible and incompatible elements. Therefore, it is clear that the rocks are genetically same origin. As a result of magnetic susceptibility measurement, the pinkish and reddish granite of original stones and pinkish granite of new stones showed normal distribution around about 4.00(${\times}10^{-3}SI\;unit$). But the leucocratic granite of original stones were confirmed ilmenite series under about 1.00(${\times}10^{-3}SI\;unit$). As a result of provenance interpretation and transportation route analysis based on the petrological results, the provenance of pinkish granite and reddish granite of original stones are presumed the north slope in Namsan mountain and Naksan mountain. Also, the leucocratic granite of original stones and the pinkish granite of new stones are strongly possible furnished from the south and north slope in Namsan mountain and Naksan mountain, respectively.

  • The most change in this century is supposed to be declination of ideology, and block of world economy. Addition to down full of cold war atmosphere around Northeast Asia, not only economic and social mood in this region is dramatically changed, but also it gave birth to the block of Northeast economy that accerlated new hub of world economy. According to dramatic change of economic surroundings the dynamic potential of growth in this region will be guided to enlarge inter-regional trade and increase volume of trade, thus suggests to grow steadily transportation. cargos in this region will have to arrange the system of delivery and inner transportation, accessary facilities, inter-regional harbors if North America and EC has connected easily. As have accerlated GATT and UR represented multilateralism and regionalism, it has regulated to increase trades of region due to relief of the trade barrier through specific areas has agreed with separately. The flow of regionalism of world economy has appeared to realize EC and NAFTA centered U.S.A, and also has presented to free trade region or one-size market agreement in Asia as APEC, EAEG in Malaysia, and etc. In defense to this block and internationalism of world economy, Pusan has to come forward to the hub of Northeast others has proposed a project to dominate the Northeast, Economy Association Agreement as Far East comprehensive development project in USSR, Hunchun development project in NK, and East Sea development project in PRC, Niigate regional development in Japan, Duman River development project in NK, and East Sea development project in Korea. As this exercise has proceed, Pusan also have arranged development strategy definitely and prepared provisions systematically. Engaging to participate center of delivery system is meant to be completed complex functions, namely the transfer storage processing & assembly function of international commodity. Pusan has ability to be terminal point of TSR. it had been connected to EC as the biggest economy block and TKR as complex transportation root to Far East, it would be the center of inground and seabase delivery terminal to Rotterdom as the biggest container pier and major piers to North-East and South East Asia. In order to provide a Role of 21 century's internationalization, Pusan has appealed to participate in management information research and development connected to Pohang-Ulsan-Changwon-Masan, and has utilized efficiently the resources such as man, material, money and information.

Comparison of canal transportation in simulated curved canals prepared with ProTaper Universal and ProTaper Gold systems

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to assess the ability of ProTaper Gold (PTG, Dentsply Maillefer) in maintaining the original profile of root canal anatomy. For that, ProTaper Universal (PTU, Dentsply Maillefer) was used as reference techniques for comparison. Materials and Methods: Twenty simulated curved canals manufactured in clear resin blocks were randomly assigned to 2 groups (n = 10) according to the system used for canal instrumentation: PTU and PTG groups, upto F2 files (25/0.08). Color stereomicroscopic images from each block were taken exactly at the same position before and after instrumentation. All image processing and data analysis were performed with an open source program (FIJI). Evaluation of canal transportation was obtained for two independent canal regions: straight and curved levels. Student's t test was used with a cut-off for significance set at ${\alpha}=5%$. Results: Instrumentation systems significantly influenced canal transportation (p < 0.0001). A significant interaction between instrumentation system and root canal level (p < 0.0001) was found. PTU and PTG systems produced similar canal transportation at the straight part, while PTG system resulted in lower canal transportation than PTU system at the curved part. Canal transportation was higher at the curved canal portion (p < 0.0001). Conclusions: PTG system produced overall less canal transportation in the curved portion when compared to PTU system.
