  • In an oil hydraulic piston pump, the cylinder block and valve plate in high speed relative sliding motion have the characteristics which should be extremely controlled for the optimization of leakage and friction losses, and pressure-resistance design of them is very important for high pressure performance. But the studies on the stress analysis of those parts have not been performed briskly. Therefore, in this paper, the stress and displacement distributions of the cylinder block and valve plate in the oil hydraulic piston pump with a swash plate type are discussed through the static stress analysis using CATIA V5. The stress and displacement of the cylinder block are more influenced by the axial pressure than by the radial pressure, and are larger by approximately 66% and 30%, respectively. The results show that a review of the material and shape of the valve plate is required.

  • In this paper, the extraciton method for individual and the recognition method for the printed dociments are discussed. In preprocessing is a technique to extract characters that are difficult to manage such as touching characters or overlapped chracters.Genrally in the existing segmentation methods, projection and edge detection are applied. However,in this paper an indvidual character is extracted by using connected pixel with one projection after the string extraction The maximum Blok Methld(MBM)is used for the recognition. The MBM is a method to enlarge the block to the last point the pixel that was found during projection. The maximum blocks are skeletonxied after the division into straight line block and oblique line block.Especially,in the recognition of chinese chracters compared to the existing method it showed improved recognition rate.

  • Background Pain in the postoperative body contouring patient has traditionally been managed with narcotic medication. In an effort to minimize side effects and prevent addiction, plastic surgeons are searching for novel ways to provide adequate analgesia, one of which is nerve blocks. This study was conducted with a meta-analysis that evaluates the efficacy of these blocks for patients who undergo breast surgery. Methods A search of the PubMed/MEDLINE database for articles including the terms "post-operative analgesia" OR "postoperative pain management" AND "in plastic surgery" OR "in cosmetic surgery" OR "in elective surgery" in February 2019 generated five studies on elective breast augmentation and reduction mammoplasty that reported pain scores and quantities of opioids consumed. Independent samples t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, and a random effects model were implemented for evaluation. Results A total of 317 patients were identified as having undergone body contouring of the breast, about half of which received a nerve block. Pain scores on a 1-10 scale and opioid dose-equivalents were calculated. Those who were blocked had an average score of 2.40 compared to 3.64 for those who did not (P<0.001), and required an average of 5.20 less narcotic doses (P<0.001). Pain relief following subpectoral augmentation was best achieved with type-II blocks as opposed to type-I and type-II with serratus plane (P<0.001). Conclusions The opioid epidemic has extended to all surgical specialties. Implementation of a nerve block seems to be an efficacious and cost-effective mechanism to not only help with post-operative pain, but also lower the need for narcotics, especially in subpectoral augmentation.

  • Synthetic aperture radar (SAR) is a promising active remote sensing technique to obtain large terrain information of the earth in all-weather conditions. SAR is useful in many applications, including terrain mapping and geographic information system (GIS), which use SAR display images. Usually, these applications need the enormous data storage because they deal with wide terrain images with high resolution. So, compression technique is a useful approach to deal with SAR display images with limited storage. Because there is some indispensable data loss through the conversion of a complex SAR image to a display image, some applications, which need high-resolution images, cannot tolerate more data loss during compression. Therefore, lossless compression is appropriate to these applications. In this paper, we propose a novel lossless compression technique for a SAR display image using one-step predictor and block arithmetic coding.

  • Quality characteristics of frozen cylindrical pork loin were evaluated following different tempering methods: 27.12 MHz curved-electrode radio frequency (RF) at 1000 and 1500 W, and forced-air convection (FC) or water immersion (WI) at $4^{\circ}C$ and $20^{\circ}C$. The developed RF tempering system with the newly designed curved-electrode achieved relatively uniform tempering compared to a parallel-plate RF system. FC tempering at $4^{\circ}C$ was the most time-consuming process, whereas 1500 W RF was the shortest. Pork sample drip loss, water holding capacity, color, and microbiological quality declined after WI tempering at $20^{\circ}C$. Conversely, RF tempering yielded minimal sample changes in drip loss, microstructure, color, and total aerobic bacteria counts, along with relatively uniform internal sample temperature distributions compared to those of the other tempering treatments. These results indicate that curved-electrode RF tempering could be used to provide rapid defrosting with minimal quality deterioration of cylindrical frozen meat block products.

  • In the global IT market, a lot of issues for responding to various environmental regulations emerged. In case of the data centers, it is consuming huge amounts of energy to maintain. So there have been various technical attempts as Consolidation, Virtualization, Optimization to efficiently manage energy and data storage to fix the problems. In this paper, we propose a new RAID(Redundant Array of Independent Disks) mechanism which is differing the intensity of power consumption and works to provide data protection and disaster recovery(backup, mirroring etc.) to stratify multiple volumes. G-RAID minimize the power consumption and the lower of I/O performance by selecting the volume depending on the frequency of data access while classifying the power consumption between volumes in storage system. Also, it is possible that a filesystem and block map information of G-RAID is processed by basic unit which is group located in a row for the blocks to work efficiently and can minimize the performance degradation of block mapping load by the access frequency in each groups. As a result, we obtained to elevate a little bit of response time caused by block relocation work, but showed the decrease of power consumption by 38%.

  • Recent studies demonstrate that machine learning has expanded in the field of seismic interpretation. Many convolutional neural networks have been developed for seismic sequence identification, which is important for seismic interpretation. However, expense and time limitations indicate that there is insufficient data available to provide a sufficient dataset to train supervised machine learning programs to identify seismic sequences. In this study, patch division and data augmentation are applied to mitigate this lack of data. Furthermore, to obtain spatial information that could be lost during patch division, an artificial channel is added to the original data to indicate depth. Seismic sequence identification is performed using a U-Net network and the Netherlands F3 block dataset from the dGB Open Seismic Repository, which offers datasets for machine learning, and the predicted results are evaluated. The results show that patch-based U-Net seismic sequence identification is improved by data augmentation and the addition of an artificial channel.

  • Sr, Nd, Pb isotopic compositions of the Cenozoic basaltic rocks distributed in Pyeongtaek-Asan area display significantly enriched values compared with mid-ocean ridge basalts just like other Cenozoic basalts of Korea. The isotopic compositions of most of the Cenozoic basaltic rocks of Korea including those from Pyeongtaek-Asan area can be explained as mixing between enriched mantle component with relatively low $^{206}Pb/^{204}Pb$ ratios and depleted mantle component. In contrast, Jejudo basalts can be explained as mixing between enriched mantle component with realtively higher $^{206}Pb/^{204}Pb$ ratios and depleted mantle componsnt. Combined with that very similar division of enriched mantle components is applied to the Cenozoic basalts of northeast China and southeast China, it is suggested that subcontinental lithospheric mantle of central and southern parts of Korea represents eastern extension of North China Block and South China Block respectively. The indentation model for the late Paleozoic to early Mesozoic continental collision of China contradicts to such an interpretation, because it cannot explain occurrence of subcontinental lithospheric mantle component of South China Block-affinity under the Jejudo area. Instead, it is more probable that suture zone of the two continental blocks crosses between central and southern Korea and its location is further south from the Pyeongtaek-Asan area. Such distinct location compared with Imjingal belt, supposedly collisional boundary suggested before, suggests that mantle boundary may not be coincide with crustal boundary for the continental collision.

  • Multiple antennas can provide huge capacity gains when the transmitter knows the channel state information (CSI). Precoding is a technique that exploits CSI at the transmitter side. In this paper, an adaptive precoding scheme is proposed, called a hybrid multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) precoding (HMP). HMP is a combination of linear and nonlinear precoding. The number of transmit antennas less than or equal to four is as same as the conventional antenna selection scheme. Therefore, the HMP scheme uses more than four transmit antennas. The good channel means that the channels must be selected to maximize the channel capacity among the given channels, and the rest channels are called bad channel. In HMP scheme, we use the nonlinear precoding in the good channels and the linear precoding in the bad channels. The well-known Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) is considered as nonlinear precoding. The system throughput and MSE (minimum square error) are shown for the performance of HMP scheme compared to the conventional schemes which are BD (block diagonalization), antenna selection and THP.

  • Recently, system studies using tokens and block chains for authentication, access control, etc in IoT environment have been going on at home and abroad. However, existing token-based systems are not suitable for IoT environments in terms of security, reliability, and scalability because they have centralized characteristics. In addition, the system using the block chain has to overload the IoT device because it has to repeatedly perform the calculation of the hash et to hold the block chain and store all the blocks. In this paper, we intend to manage the access rights through tokens for proper access control in the IoT. In addition, we apply the Tangle to configure the P2P distributed ledger network environment to solve the problem of the centralized structure and to manage the token. The authentication process and the access right grant process are performed to issue a token and share a transaction for issuing the token so that all the nodes can verify the validity of the token. And we intent to reduce the access control process by reducing the repeated authentication process and the access authorization process by reusing the already issued token.
