새로운 Black Color의 합성;화장품에서 블랙 색소로서 Meso-pore Silca에 캡슐레이션된 Carbon-black Silica (Synthesis of New Black Pigment; Carbon Black Pigment Capsulated into the Meso-pore of Silica as Black Pigment in Cosmetic)

  • 카본 블랙은 매우 낮은 밀도로 화장품에는 사용되지 않고 있지만 독성이 없고 안정한 물리적 특성과 검은색의 특성으로 이용 가치가 있다고 사료되는 바이다. 본 연구에서는 TEOS, a) PEO/ lecithin, b) PEO/polyethylene glycol, c) lecithin/polyethylene을 ethanol/water 수용액상에서 계면활성제를 탄화시켜 sol-gei반응에 의해 meso-porous silica샘플을 얻었고 N2 조건하 50$0^{\circ}C$에서 열처리된 organic-inorganic hybrid silica를 합성하였다. Pore안에 카본 블랙을 함유하는 meso-porous silica는 친수성, 소수성 용매에서 모두 좋은 분산성을 보여준다. 이 샘플은 BET에 의해 specific surface area (750$m^2$/g)과 pore size (4-6 nm)이고, XRD측정으로 pore structure (cylindrical type)를, 샘플의 SEM촬영으로 morphology(0.1-0.5$\mu\textrm{m}$ 입자 크기를 갖는 spherical powder)를 갖는다는 것을 알아냈다. 이렇게 합성한 카본-실리카 블랙 컬러를 마스카라에 적용하면 일반적으로 마스카라에 사용되던 블랙 컬러 사용시 보다 좀더 검은색을 보여주는 것은 물론이고 우수한 분산성도 갖는다. 무엇보다 이 파우더의 밀도 조절이 가능하여 마스카라 뿐 만 아니라 모든 화장품에의 사용이 가능하다.

계룡산 석간주를 사용한 흑색 안료 개발 (Development of Black Pigment Using Seokganju of Mountain Gyeryong)

  • We collected Seokganju minerals (regions in Gyeryong Mountain, Sangsin-ri, Banpo-myeon, Gongju Chungcheongnam-province), which were used as natural color pigments for grayish-blue during the 15th~16th centuries of the Joseon era, and investigated their crystallographic features to develop a black pigment having a spinel structure. By a Raman analysis, the color of Seokganju under transparent glaze as a pigment for painting was black because hematite ($Fe_2O_3$) in Seokganju was converted to magnetite ($Fe_3O_4$) However, Seokganju into the transparent glaze as a pigment was brown because of hematite ($Fe_2O_3$) and small amounts of maghemite (${\gamma}-Fe_2O_3$) in Seokganju minerals. Only Seokganju mineral is used, it is not suitable for black pigment into the transparent glaze. This study tried to develop a spinel crystal black pigment stabilized by Seokganju with CoO, $Cr_2O_3$, NiO, and $MnO_2$ at $1280^{\circ}C$. A Raman spectroscopy analysis was performed to verify the presence of Mn The results showed that it existed as spinel, and two crystal phases $CoFe_2O_4$ and $MnFe_2O_4$ were mixed. $CoFe_2O_4$ spinel has a dark grayish black color and $MnFe_2O_4$ spinel has a greenish black color, and these two appeared as black. The color of a specimen calcined by adding 6 wt% of pigment mixed with 5 wt% of $MnO_2$ added to lime glaze was analyzed with a UV spectrophotometer. When applying the color pigment, it appeared black stabilized with $L^*$24.23, $a^*$ 0.12, $b^*$ -2.29 at $1260^{\circ}C$ oxidative calcination, With $1240^{\circ}C$ reduction firing, it is appeared black stabilized with low brightness of $L^*$ 23.13, $a^*$ -1.12, $b^*$ 0.54.

Mn 도핑이 Fe2O3 쿨 안료의 흑색도 및 NIR 반사율에 미치는 영향 (Mn-doping Effect on the Blackness and NIR Reflectance of Fe2O3 Cool Pigments)

  • A high NIR-reflective black pigment is developed by Mn doping of Fe2O3. The pigment powders are prepared by spray pyrolysis, and the effect of the Mn concentration on the blackness and optical properties is investigated. Mn doping into the crystal lattice of α-Fe2O3 is found to effectively change the powder color from red to black, lowering the NIR reflectance compared to that of pure Fe2O3. The pigment doped with 10% Mn, i.e., Fe1.8Mn0.2O3, exhibits a black color with an optical bandgap of 1.3 eV and a Chroma value of 1.14. The NIR reflectance of the prepared Fe1.8Mn0.2O3 black pigment is 2.2 times higher than that of commercially available carbon black, and this material is proven to effectively work as a cool pigment in a temperature rise experiment under near-infrared illumination.

검은과부거미 (Latrodectus mactans) 피부 색소의 미세구조에 관한 연구 (Fine Structure of the Cutaneous Pigments in the Black Widow Spider, Latrodectus mactans)

  • Fine structure of the cutaneous pigments in the black widow spider, Latrodectus mactans are studied with light and electron microscopes. The cutaneous pigments are only observed in epidermal layer just beneath the cuticle. These pigments are compactly distributed around the spinnerets which located at caudal area of the abdomen. According to the fine structural characteristics of the pigment granules, two main types of guanine pigment granules-carotenoid vesicles and reflecting platelets - are observed in the cytoplasm of the epidermal cells. Morphological features of these pigment granules are characterized as the electron dense carotenoid vesicles and the electron lucent reflecting platelets. Marginal electron density of the carotenoid vesicle is different from that of internal region, whereas the reflecting platelets have laminated crystalline granules. Typiral structures of these pigment granules are very similar to those of invertebrate's chromatophores, especially erythrophores and iridophores. Moreover differentiation of these pigment granules are also originated from the small vesicles of Golgi complexes similarly to those of cutaneous chromatophores.

고추씨 기름 대체 향미유 개발에 관한 연구: 치자, 고량을 이용한 유용성 천연 검정색소의 제조 (Study of Research and Development for Seasoning Oil as Red Pepper Seed Oil Substituted: Manufacturing of oil soluble natural black pigment from Gardenia and Kaoliang)

  • 치자로부터 청색 및 황색색소, 고량으로부터 암갈색 색소를 주정을 이용하여 추출ㆍ농축하여 60$^{\circ}$Brix 농도의 추출물을 회수하였는데, 각각의 수율은 0.68, 1.97, 0.63% (w/w)였다. 이들을 대두유: 물: 유화제: 치자청: 치자황: 고량색소=8: 22: 42: 10: 15: 13 (w/w)의 비율로 혼합하고 균질화하여 유용성 천연 검정색소를 얻었다. 이 색소를 대두유에 용해시킨 결과 대두유의 품온이 30∼4$0^{\circ}C$ 범위에서 가장 높은 용해도를 나타내었다. 대두유에 한 번 용해된 색소물질은 혼합 대두유의 품온을 2$0^{\circ}C$ 이하로 유지하여도 재분리현상이 발생하지 않는 것으로 확인되었다

  • 한국산 검정콩 종피의 천연색소로의 이용가능성을 알아보기 위하여 온도, 당류, 유기산류, 비타민 C 그리고 금속 이온의 영향을 살펴보았다. 검정콩 색소의 열안정성은 다른 안토시아닌 계열의 색소와 비교할 때 유사하거나 더 안정한 것으로 나타났다. 당류의 영향에서는 타 색소와는 달리 농색화 현상은 일어나지 않았고 저장성에서는 모두 포도당에서 양호하였다. 유기산에서는 모든 첨가구에서 색의 강도가 증가하였으며 비타민 C 첨가의 경우 안토시아닌 색소에 부정적인 영향을 나타내었고 금속이온의 영향에서는 $Cu^{2+}$$Zn^{2+}$ 이온에서 안정하였으며 $Mn^{2+}$에서는 불안정하였다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 볼 때 검정콩 종피색소는 pH 3에서 다른 색소와 비교하여 상당히 안정한 색소임을 알 수 있었다.

An Analysis Study of Wall Painting Pigment Excavated at Iksan Jeseoksaji Dumpsite

  • The fragments of a wall painting excavated from among the historical remains of Jeseoksa Temple in Iksan. The extent of the damage to the fragments was examined and an analysis of the components of the pigment was conducted. The results of the component analysis of the pigment confirmed that the white pigment consisted of alkali feldspar and mullite. Although the results of the visual inspection revealed differences in color in the red and black pigments, the main component of the two colors was confirmed to be iron oxide. Red and black pigments are found at the same position. Although differences of color is obvious, those are identified as hematite and magnetite of oxidized steel's affiliation. It is judged that Differences of ingredients happened by external environment's factors.

안료 잉크용 바인더의 입자 크기가 직물의 태에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Particle Sizes of Polymer Binders for Pigment Inks on Touch of Fabrics)

  • This study investigated effect of particle sizes of polymer binders for digital textile printing(DTP) pigment inks on touch of fabrics. The polymer binders were synthesized via miniemulsion polymerization of methyl methacrylate(MMA), butyl acrylate(BA), N-ethylolacrylamide(NEA) and methacrylic acid(MAA). The prepared binders were applied to black pigment inks and those black pigment inks were used to dye cotton fabrics. Then, color strength, rubbing fastness, stiffness, surface and bending properties of the dyed fabrics were investigated. Depending on the particle size of the polymer binder used, color strength, friction fastness, stiffness, surface and bending properties change. Generally, the larger the particle size of the polymer binder, the softer properties.
