We investigated the improvement of immuno-modulatory activities of sap of Acer mono and A. okamotoanum encapsulated with edible polymers. Anticancer activities and immune activities such as human B and T cell growth, secretion of cytokines and natural killer cell growth were observed. Both human immune B and T cells were increased up to 30~50% by the addition of nano particle sap of Acer mono and A. okamotoanum. The secretion of Interleukin-6 (IL-6) and Tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-a) from human immune B and T cells were also significantly increased compare to the control. Natural Killer (NK) cell growth was enhanced to $19.4{\times}10^5$ cells/mL in adding nano encapsulated sap of A.okamotoanum. The cytotoxicity of the sample on normal human lung cell (HEL299) was below 19.8% in adding 1.0 mg/mL of the nano particle sap of A. okamotoanum. Generally, the growth of all three human lung adenocarcinoma, human stomach adenocarcinoma and human liver adenocarcinama was inhibited up to 85% in adding 1.0 mg/mL of the encapsulated sap. Interestingly enough, the encapsulated sap was completely penetrated into human cancer cells within 30 min after addition. It showed that the encapsulation of the sap definitely increased its biological activities, which can expand its use to wide range of food industries.

This study is aimed to evaluate the protective effect of Gastrodiae rhizoma and steamed, dried & fermented Gastrodiae rhizoma on Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced hepatic injury in the mice model. Sample was selected to GR0F0 (not processed gastrodia rhizome) and GR6F4 (fermented with Saccharomyces cerevisiae before steamed and dried 6 times) based on 1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl, 2,2'-azinobis-3-ethyl-benzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid, and High-performance liquid chromatography analysis. Mice were randomly divided into 4 groups - Normal group, vehicle group (LPS treated), GR0F0 group (fed GR0F0 before LPS treated) and GR6F4 group (fed GR6F4 before LPS treated) with 6 mice in each group. GR0F0 group and GR6F4 group were fed each extract 200 mg/kg/day during 8 days. LPS 20 mg/kg injected to the experimental groups as abdominal injection. We measured aspartate aminotransferase, alanine amino-transferase in serum. GR0F0 and GR6F4 showed a significant decrease compared to the vehicle group. As a result of measuring the ROS, GR6F4 group showed a significant reduction in both the serum and liver tissues compared to the vehicle group. GR0F0 group showed a significant reduction only in the liver tissues. Activator protein-1, cyclooxygenase-2, and Inducible nitric oxide synthase were significantly decreased GR0F0 group and GR6F4 group. But tumor necrosis factor alpha only showed a significant reduction in GR6F4 group. GR0F0 and GR6F4 groups against liver damage in mice with LPS. That showed significant effects on anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory action. The effects of GR6F4 group showed superior results compared to GR0F0 group. Therefore, Steamed, dried & fermented Gastrodia rhizoma was might have a protective effect on liver injury.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the relevance of adjusting a urinary sample for urine hippuric correction value and its effects. Urinary biological monitoring data are typically adjusted to a constant creatinine and specific gravity concentration to correct for variable dilutions among spot samples. This study was conducted to evaluate the suitability of adjusting the urinary concentrations of urine creatinine and specific gravity(SG). Methods: We measured the concentrations of hippuric acid, in spot urine samples collected from control(119), case(120) individuals. The value of hippuric acid was adjusted by SG and urinary creatinine(HPLC & Jaffe). Results: The major results were as follows. The concentrations of urinary creatinine and SG for the control group were 1.84 g/L(SD 0.99) for arithmetic mean and 1.56 g/L(GSD 1.86) for geometric mean by HPLC method, 1.57 g/L (SD, 0.82) for arithmetic mean and 1.33 g/L(GSD 1.85) for geometric mean by Jaffe method, 1.028(SD 0.09) for arithmetic mean and 1.02(GSD 1.06) for geometric mean by refractometer. Hippuric acid levels were 0.40 g/L(SD 0.51) by arithmetic mean and 0.20 g/L(GSD 3.59). In that case the exposed group was 1.40 g/L(SD 0.58) for arithmetic mean and 1.28 g/L(GSD 1.55) for geometric mean by HPLC method, 1.27 g/L(SD 0.56) for arithmetic mean and 1.14 g/L(GSD 1.62) for geometric mean by Jaffe method, 1.045 L(SD 0.27) for arithmetic mean and 1.02(GSD 1.13) for geometric mean by refractometer(P<0.05). Hippuric acid levels were 0.67 g/L(SD 0.79) for arithmetic mean and 0.39 g/L(GSD 2.94)(p<0.05). The urine creatinine concentrations were affected by gender(p < 0.01) but SG levels were not affected by gender or age(p>0.05). After adjustment, urine hippuric acid was correlated with creatinine(HPLC & Jaffe)(r=0.723, P<0.05, r=0.708, P<0.05) and SG(r=0.936, P<0.05) and the control group shows significantly higher than the case group. In the case group for adjusted urine hippuric acid was correlated with creatinine(HPLC & Jaffe), (r=0.736, P<0.05), r=0.549, P<0.05), SG(r=0.549, P<0.05). After adjusting urine hippuric acid by urine creatinine(HPLC and Jaffe method) and specific gravity, significant associations were found between the control group and case group, respectively(r=0.832, P<0.05, r=0.845, P<0.05) and (r=0.841, P<0.05, r=0.849, P<0.05). Specific gravity adjustment appears to be more appropriate for variations in the urine creatinine method. Conclusion: we found that urinary creatinine concentrations were significantly affected by gender, and other factors and that care should therefore be exercised when correcting urinary metabolites according to the urinary creatinine concentration in spot urine. It is determined that additional study is needed for biological monitoring.
BACKGROUND: This study was performed to investigate the change of deltamethrin residue after spraying for control of hygienic insects in bush of levee at Bansuk-dong stream (A) and Juk-dong ditch (B) in Yuseong, Daejeon. The drop concentrations and disappearance of deltamethrin residue in stream water were determined to evaluate the toxic effects of stream ecosystem. METHODS AND RESULTS: Water samples were collected at 7 points including 0, 5, 10, 20, 40, 70 and 100 m downstream from the deltamethrin spraying point. Water sample was partitioned into dichloromethane, and was determined with GC/${\mu}$-ECD. Limit of Quantitation of deltamethrin was 0.04 ${\mu}g/L$. Recoveries of deltamethrin at two fortification levels of 0.4 and 2.0 ${\mu}g/L$ were $91.57{\pm}3.13%$(n=3) and $94.40{\pm}4.59%$(n=3) in A stream, and $88.24{\pm}3.33%$(n=3) and $85.20{\pm}3.73%$(n=3) in B stream, respectively. Residue of A stream were from <0.04 ${\mu}g/L$ to 0.48 ${\mu}g/L$ and B stream were from 0.08 ${\mu}g/L$ to 14.95 ${\mu}g/L$ under practice application condition. And residues were from <0.04 ${\mu}g/L$ to 0.2 ${\mu}g/L$ in A stream treated deltamethrin with 1.0 mg level at the upper region. CONCLUSION(S): Practice application of deltamethrin for the pest control of waterside was not much shown toxic effect to ecosystem of stream.
Visual monitoring is hard to apply on fish because they are living in a water system. To overcome this problem, acoustic telemetry, which is effective for underwater monitoring, is often used for studying fish behaviors, such as movement distance, route and patterns. In this study, in order to monitor the movement pattern of Squaliobarbus curriculus (family Cyprinidae), we used acoustic telemetry and identified the home range and movement distances. A total of nine individuals were released at two different locations: one is at the estuary barrage (Sc1~3) and the other is at the lower part of Baekjae Weir (Sc4~9), located in Geum River. Approximately, a 70 km section from the estuary barrage was investigated. Fish, which were released at the estuary barrage, utilized up to 12.7 km upstream as home range from the release site. At the lower part of Baekjae Weir, most of the fish moved and stayed within a 7.2 km downstream area, except for Sc6, which moved 53.4 km (linear maximum distance from release site) downstream from the release site. Relatively small sized fish (Sc7~9) did not show any movement. Accumulated movement distance significantly correlated with the standard length of S. curriculus ($r_s$=0.715, p=0.03). Moreover, the standard length of moving fish was significantly larger than that of not moving fish (Mann-Whitney U test, p=0.024). Therefore, the movement distance of S. curriculus has been correlated with fish size; movement distance was increased with the standard fish length. Although the sample size of monitored fish was small, various meaningful data were collected by acoustic telemetry. Consequently, this technique could be a method available for effectively monitoring the behavior and ecology of native Korean and endemic species.

Background : Most studies of the pituitary hormonal responses to electroconvulsive therapy(ECT) have used limited blood sampling schedules. Little is known about the precise sequence of neuroendocrine events immediately following en ECT application. or about the regulation of the hormonal responses. Methods : Blood was sampled at three minute intervals from eleven patients(two schizophrenics and nine affective disorder patients) undergoing ECT. Each sample was immunologically assayed for arginine vasopressin(AVP), adrenocorticotropic hormone(ACTH), prolactin(PRL), and cortisol. Baseline hormone concentrations and several measures of response were determined for each hormone. The temporal and quantitative relationships among the hormonal responses were determined. Correlations were calculated between seizure duration and secretory responses. Results : All four hormones demonstrated significant secretory responses to ECT, with AVP increasing from 1.2 to 33.3pg/ml(P<0.001), ACTH from 5.4 to 32.3fmol/ml(P<0001). PRL from 21.8 to 102.2ng/ml(P<0.005) and cortisol from 20.1 to 31.1ug/dl(P<0.001). The three pituitary hormones showed consistent time courses of secretion with onset of responses by three minutes but clearly differing peak times of 3, 6, and 12-15 minutes for AVP, ACTH, and PRL, respectively. Cortisol began to rise after 6minutes and pecked between 20-30minutes. There ware no significant correlations between seizure duration and any of the secretory response measures. Conclusions : 1) The pituitary hormone response to ECT is sequential rather than synchronous 2) The AVP response was extremely rapid and more massive than those of any other hormones. 3) The ACTH response of this study was more rapid and mare robust than thai revealed by the mast of past studies. 4) The results strongly suggest that the pituitary hormones are released as a result of the seizure rather tho, the electrical stimulus. 5) The sequential pattern of responses suggests that neuroendocine feedback-regulatory mechanisms determine the response profile.

This study is to investigate microbiological hazards which can be used as fundamental data to adequately control leeks hazards and develop leeks GAP model for those who want to get GAP system. The microbiological investigations on cultivation environments (soil and water), crops (leeks), personal hygiene (workers' hands, clothes and gloves) and working tools (boxes) have been conducted for one year, so the period was classified under non-cultivation, cultivation, and post harvest. Total bacteria was detected from soil (4.0~6.7 log CFU/g), leeks (4.6~5.1 log CFU/g), hands (ND~3.3 log CFU/hand) and gloves ($ND{\sim}5.4\;log\;CFU/cm^2$) while nothing was detected from the other samples. The coliform contamination of leeks (4.8~5.0 log CFU/g) was more high than that of soil (3.9~4.2 log CFU/g). In case of foodborne pathogens, only B. cereus was detected at the level of 0.5~4.6 log CFU/g (or hand, $100cm^2$). Fungi was observed at the level of 2.1~3.8 log CFU/g (or hand, $100cm^2$) excepting water and some working tools. These results demonstrate that the contamination of leeks is comparatively higher than that of soil sample. The reason may be the cross-contamination by biological hazards presenting on soil. Therefore, it is necessary to properly control soil and fertilizer for safety against biological hazards.

The objective of this study was to analyze hazards for the growing stage of 6 tomato farms (A, B, C; soli farms, D, E, F; Nutriculture farms) located in Gyeongsangnam-do to establish the good agricultural practices (GAP). A total of 144 samples for analyzing hazards collected from cultivation environments (irrigation water, soil, nutrient solution, and air) and personal hygiene (hands, gloves, and cloths) were assessed for biological (sanitary indications and major food borne pathogens) and chemical hazards (heavy metals). Total bacteria, coliform, and fungi were detected at levels of 0.2-7.2, 0.0-6.1, and 0.0-5.4 log CFU/g, mL, hand or 100 $cm^2$, respectively. Escherichia coli were only detected in the soil sample from B farm. In case of pathogens, Bacillus cereus was detected at levels of 0.0-4.4 log CFU/(g, mL, hand or 100 $cm^2$), whereas Staphylococuus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, E. coli O157, and Salmonella spp. were not detected in all samples. Heavy metals as a chemical hazard were detected in soil and irrigation water, but levels of them were lower than the permit limit. In conclusion, chemical hazard levels complied with GAP criteria, but biological hazards at the growing stage of tomato farms were confirmed. Therefore a proper management to prevent microbial contamination is needed.

In order to obtain mutagenic data of enzymatic browning reaction products, we investigated their mutagenicity. The rec-assay with Bacillus subtilis strains $H17(rec^+)$ and $M45(rec^-)$ were carried out with their spores. Detection of double strand breakage in calf-thymus DNA was investigated into sample solution with and without $Cu^{2+}$ by the agarose slab gel electrophoresis. In the rec-assay, catechol, pyrocatechol, DL-dopa, 3,4-dihydroxytoluene, hydroquinone, hydroxyhydroquinone with and without $Cu^{2+}$ in 0.05M ana 0.1M at the enzymatic browning reaction products stowed mutagenic action. And also browning solution of 0.05M hydroxyhydroquinone and catechol with $Cu^{2+}$, hydroquinone with and without $Cu^{2+}$ of 0.1M at the enzymatic browning reaction products were strong mutagenic action. The DNA breakability of the enzymatic browning reaction products of 0.1M pyrogallol was stronger than that of 0.05M pyrogallol browning solution with $Cu^{2+}$ and 3,4-dihydroxytoluene browning solution was stronger than that of 0.01M 3,4-dihydroxytoluene browning solution.
The pool size of plasma glucose, turnover rate and other concerned items for glucose metabolism in normal laying hen were investigated by a single-injection method using $U-C^{14}-glucose$. The 11.6 nCi of pure dose was injected to a hen normally fed through the wing vein. The glucose concentration in plasma sample taken at 5 minutes after injections was 214mgper 100ml. From the plottings of logarithmic standard specific activities of plasma taken from 5 to 120 minutes against the time after injection and from the regresion analysis, metabolic states were determined. The pool size was 1.07g, turnover rate was 0.024 per minute, turnover time was 41 minutes, utilization rate was 26mg/min. (0.83 g/hr/kg B.W. 3/4) and glucose space(extracellular fluid volume) was 25.3 per cent of body weight. The values obtained from. 10-50 minutes samples were similar to those described above, which we from 5-120 minutes samples.

제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.

1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
