  • In this paper, we propose an efficient cooperative diversity technique, which partition the codewords of each mobile and transmit portions of each codeword through independent fading channels using duo-binary turbo codes. A coded diversity technique can achieve high cooperative diversity gain by decoding and transmitting of the re-encoded signal, while this can also cause high performance degradation due to failure of the decoding. In this paper, we introduce various coded diversity technique using duo-binary turbo codes which are defined as channel coding schemes in the IEEE WiMax specification, and also demonstrate performance simulation results with the analysis. We also propose a cooperative diversity technique using rate-compatible duo-binary turbo codes, where user terminals with different parity symbols cooperate each other. Simulation results investigated in this paper reveal that the proposed scheme show high diversity gain at a reasonal SNR range.

  • Because output of multi-code CDMA system adapted high speed data transmission becoming multi-level system use linear amplifier in output stage and complex output signal. Therefore, Multi-Code CDMA system has shortcoming of high price, high complexity etc.. Binary CDMA technology that allow fetters in existing CDMA technology to supplement this shortcoming proposed. In binary CDMA system When correlator process high speed data, bottle-neck phenomenon is happened on synchronization acquisition process, it is very important parameter. Because existent correlator must there be advantage that power consumption is small but flow addition of several stages to receive correlation's value, the processing speed has disadvantage because the operation amount is much. Therefore in this paper, proposed correlator has characteristic such as data is able to high speed processing, chip area is independent and power consumption is constant in structure in binary CDMA system.

  • Internet routers forward an incoming packet to an output port toward its final destination through IP address lookup. Since each incoming packet should be forwarded in wire-speed, it is essential to provide the high-speed search performance. In this paper, IP address lookup algorithms using binary search are studied. Most of the binary search algorithms do not provide a balanced search, and hence the required number of memory access is excessive so that the search performance is poor. On the other hand, binary-search-on-range algorithm provides high-speed search performance, but it requires a large amount of memory. This paper shows an optimized binary-search-on-range structure which reduces the memory requirement by deleting unnecessary entries and an entry field. By this optimization, it is shown that the binary-search-on-range can be performed in a routing table with a similar or lesser number of entries than the number of prefixes. Using real backbone routing data, the optimized structure is compared with the original binary-search-on-range algorithm in terms of search performance. The performance comparison with various binary search algorithms is also provided.

  • In ubiquitous society, there have been increasing demands on safety and security issues with infrastructures and services based on wireless technology. In this paper, we first introduce our own developed technology Binary CDMA to meet those demands. Then we present a wireless A/V surveillance system based on the Binary CDMA technology. The implemented wireless A/V surveillance system is composed of wireless terminals, wireless multiple channel processors, and an A/V management server, and the system gives a hint that the Binary CDMA technology can be adopted in practical ubiquitous systems to handle safety and security issues.

  • This paper presents a sensorless speed control of cylindrical permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSM) using an adaptive integral binary observer In view of composition with a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the binary observer has a property of the chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. However, the steady state estimation accuracy and robustness are dependent upon the width of the constant boundary. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, the binary observer is formed by adding extra integral dynamics to the switching hyperplane equation. With the help of integral characteristic, the rotor speed can be finely estimated and utilized for a sensorless speed controller for PMSM. Since the Parameters of the dynamic equations such as machine inertia or a viscosity friction coefficient are lot well known, there are many restrictions in the actual implementation. The proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme so that observer may overcome the problem caused by using the dynamic equations and the rotor speed is constructed by using the Lyapunov function. The observer structure and its design method are described. The experimental results of the proposed algorithm are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • High interest for the wireless network is going on the research to apply the related technologies in one's real life. Among these wireless network technologies, local area wireless network, Binary CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access), is the method transferring the data by using RF band based on 2.4Ghz. Binary CDMA has longer transmission distance than Bluetooth. Also, it is of benefit to an inexpensive price because the circuit is simple as compared with being similar to the performance of the existing CDMA. Though Binary CDMA has these benefits, one problem is a frequency overlap, and anther problem is to generate the sections with the shorter distance. To solve these problems, We propose the clustering method that can cover wide area.

  • Binary cure system is composed of different two cure accelerators, which can cause a synergy effect to delay the scorch time and to increase the cure rate. In this study, binary cure systems between 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzylthiocarbamoyldithio)-hexane (DBTH) and benzothiazole sulfenamides were investigated using carbon black-filled natural rubber compounds. N-Cyclohexyl-2-benzothiazole sulfenamide (CBS), N-tert-butyl-2-benzothiazole sulfenamide (TBBS), and 2-(morpholinothio) benzothiazole (MOR) were employed as benzothiazole sulfenamides. The binary cure systems show scorch safty at high temperature. The binary cure systems have faster cure rate and better reversion resistance than the single cure system of the benzothiazole sulfenamides. DBTH is found to be more effective to decrease the viscosity of a compound than the benzothiazole sulfenamides. Physical properties of the vulcanizates with the binary cure system are better than those of the vulcanizates with the single one.

  • The traditional robot manipulators are actuated by continuous range of motion actuators such as motors or hydraulic cylinders. However, there are many applications of mechanisms and robotic manipulators where only a finite number of locations need to be reached, and the robot’s trajectory is not important as long as it is bounded. Binary manipulator uses actuators which have only two stable states. As a result, binary manipulators have a finite number of states. The number of states of a binary manipulator grows exponentially with the number of actuators. This kind of robot manipulator has some advantage compared to a traditional one. Feedback control is not required, task repeatability can be very high, and finite state actuators are generally inexpensive. And this kind of robot manipulator has a fault tolerant mechanism because of kinematic redundancy. In this paper, we solve the inverse kinematic problem of a binary parallel robot manipulator using neural network and test the validity of this structure using some arbitrary points m the workspace of the robot manipulator. As a result, we can show that the neural network can find the nearest feasible points and corresponding binary states of the joints of the robot manipulator

  • A control approach for the sensorless speed control of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor(IPMSM) based on adaptive integral the binary is proposed. With a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the binary observer has a property of the chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. However, the width of the constant boundary limits the steady state estimation accuracy and robustness. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, the binary observer is formed by adding extra integral augmented switching the hyperplane equation. By mean of integral characteristics, the rotor speed can be finely estimated and utilized for a sensorless speed controller for IPMSM. The proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme, because the parameters of the dynamic equations such as the machine inertia or the viscosity friction coefficient is not well known and these values can be easily changed generally during normal operation. Therefore, the observer can overcome the problem caused by using the dynamic equations, and the rotor speed estimation is constructed by using the Lyapunov function. The experimental results of the proposed algorithm are presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach.

  • This paper presents sensorless speed control of a cylindrical permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) using the adaptive integral binary observer. In view of the composition with a main loop regulator and an auxiliary loop regulator, the normal binary observer has the feature of chattering alleviation in the constant boundary layer. However, the steady state estimation accuracy and robustness are dependent upon the thickness of the constant boundary layer. In order to improve the steady state performance of the binary observer, a new binary observer is formed by the addition of extra integral dynamics to the existing switching hyperplane equation. Also, because the parameters of the dynamic equations such as machine inertia or viscosity friction coefficient are not well known and these values can be changed during normal operations, there are many restrictions in the actual implementation. The proposed adaptive integral binary observer applies an adaptive scheme so that the observer may overcome the problems caused by using dynamic equations. The rotor speed is constructed by using the Lyapunov function. The observer structure and its design method are described. The experimental results of the proposed algorithm are presented to prove the effectiveness of the approach.
