  • Emergency numbers, such as 112 and 119, are used in many countries to connect people in need with emergency services such as police, fire, and medical assistance. We describe development directions of intelligent response technology for emergency calls. The development of this technology refers to enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of response systems by using advanced methods such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and big data analytics. We focus on a system that assists the receptionist of an emergency call. In the future, the recognition rate and decision-making accuracy of intelligent response technologies should be improved considering characteristics of public safety and emergency domain data. Although the current technology remains at the level of assisting a receptionist, a fully autonomous response technology is expected to emerge in the future.

  • Evaluating the adequacy of facility safety inspection and diagnosis services performed by private enterprises is a time-consuming and administratively complex process. This study aims to analyze the determinants that could influence the rating of these safety inspection and diagnosis services using data analytics approach. Through a comparative analysis of several machine learning algorithms suitable for multi-class classification, we selected the model with the best performance (Random Forest) and identified the main determinants using the permutation importance technique. Among the variables examined, "contract value," "days of service performed" and "adherence to fair market value" were found to be strongly correlated with the rating assessments. Furthermore, we discovered that the skills and expertise of service performing personnel significantly impacted the rating. The results of this study can contribute to the enhancement of the current post-evaluation administrative processes and offer valuable insights into rating assessments by incorporating previously unexplored variables pertaining to both service providers and the services itself.

  • The importance of efficient enterprise network management has been emphasized continuously because of the rapid utilization of Internet in a limited resource environment. For the efficient network management, the management policy that reflects the characteristics of a specific network extracted from long-term traffic analysis is essential. However, the long-term traffic data could not be handled in the past and there was only simple analysis with the shot-term traffic data. However, as the big data analytics platforms are developed, the long-term traffic data can be analyzed easily. Recently, enterprise network resource efficiency through the long-term traffic analysis is required. In this paper, we propose the methods of collecting, storing and managing the long-term enterprise traffic data. We define several classification categories, and propose a novel network resource efficiency through the multidirectional statistical analysis of classified long-term traffic. The proposed method adopted to the campus network for the evaluation. The analysis results shows that, for the efficient enterprise network management, the QoS policy must be adopted in different rules that is tuned by time, space, and the purpose.

  • Artificial intelligence is closely linked to our real lives, leading innovation in various fields. Especially, as a means of transportation possessing artificial intelligence, autonomous unmanned vehicles are actively researched and are expected to be put into practical use soon. Autonomous cars and autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles are required to equip accurate navigation system so that they can find out their present position and move to their destination. At present, the navigation of transportation that we operate is mostly dependent on GPS. However, GPS is vulnerable to external intereference. In fact, since 2010, North Korea has jammed GPS several times, causing serious disruptions to mobile communications and aircraft operations. Therefore, in order to ensure safety in the operation of the autonomous unmanned vehicles and to prevent serious accidents caused by the intereference, rapid situation judgment and countermeasure are required. In this paper, based on big data and machine learning technology, we propose a countermeasure system for GPS interference that supports decision making by applying John Boyd's OODA loop cycle (detection - direction setting - determination - action).

  • With the advancement of big data analysis, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc., data analytics technology has developed to help with optimal decision-making. However, in certain areas, the lack of data restricts the use of these techniques. For example, real estate related data often have a long release cycle because of its recent release or being a non-liquid asset. In order to overcome these limitations, we studied the scalability of the existing time series through the TimeGAN model. A total of 45 time series related to weekly real estate data were collected within the period of 2012 to 2021, and a total of 15 final time series were selected by considering the correlation between the time series. As a result of data expansion through the TimeGAN model for the 15 time series, it was found that the statistical distribution between the real data and the extended data was similar through the PCA and t-SNE visualization algorithms.

  • Recently, the satellite industry has been paying attention to the private-led 'New Space' paradigm, which is a departure from the traditional government-led industry. The space industry, which is considered to be the next food industry, is still receiving relatively little attention in Korea compared to the global market. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to explore future signals that can help determine the market entry strategies of private companies in the domestic satellite industry. To this end, this study utilizes the theoretical background of future signal theory and the Keyword Portfolio Map method to analyze keyword potential in patent document data based on keyword growth rate and keyword occurrence frequency. In addition, news data was collected to categorize future signals into first symptom and early information, respectively. This is utilized as an interpretive indicator of how the keywords reveal their actual potential outside of patent documents. This study describes the process of data collection and analysis to explore future signals and traces the evolution of each keyword in the collected documents from a weak signal to a strong signal by specifically visualizing how it can be used through the visualization of keyword maps. The process of this research can contribute to the methodological contribution and expansion of the scope of existing research on future signals, and the results can contribute to the establishment of new industry planning and research directions in the satellite industry.
