Three important books in the oriental medicine are Huangjenaekyung (medical book), Sanghanron (pharmacological book) and Shinnongbonchokyung (herbal book). Chang, joong-kyung who is the writer of Sanghanron would be recommended as a saint physician and his book, Sanghanron is granted for a best book in this field by Chinese people. Also, Japanese physicians would estimate Sanghanron as the most magnificent book ever written by a human being. Sanghanron contains a lot of confirmations (證) of diseases, their progressing courses and exact therapeutic ways. Therefore modern physicians and pharmacists who are interested in the oriental medicine might study and practice more scientific approach of therapy for patients. The aim of this bibliographical study on Sanghanron is to explain systematically theories of this book and harmonize them with the modern medicinal study: In this study we have acquired three main results, the first is that we could get the coincidence between western & oriental way on the five therapeutic principles-sweating, vomiting, harmonizing, excreting and bleeding : the second, notice the exclusion of the Five Element Theory(the fundamental one in oriental medicine) and the third, found out the possibility of the immunological and neuroscientific explanation for pharmacological application to the oriental medicine.

The aim of this thesis is to attempt a bibliographical analysis of mathematical materials that were published during Yi-Dynasty. In this study, matters that were treated concretely are the same as follows: 1. Formulation of a system about mathematical materials that were published from Three Kingdoms to Yi-Dynasty. 2. Background of each period about compilation and publication of mathematical materials. 3. Investigation to transition, block book and domain of subject of mathematical materials through analysis on each period of publication. But it was not easy to contrast materials on each catalogue with existed books one by one. In further, we must a new chance for better a n.0, ppreciation about Yi-Dynasty's mathematical materials through continuous studies to this field.

This study tries to analyze the problems of rules for cataloging currently used n Korea such as KCR 3rd ed., KORMARC Description Rules, and KORMARC format, and to propose the methods solving the non-standardization of Korean cataloging records as follows: 1) No-main heading principles should be established so as to be applied to MARC format. 2) Description rules of cataloging currently used in Korea should be coordinated in accordance with MARC system and principles of bibliographical description. 3) Description rules of cataloging currently used in Korea should be coordinated in accordance with MARC system and principles of bibliographical description. 4) Unifying the format for CRT screen to display online catalog records are needed. 5) Conventional cataloging rules and MARC format should be coordinated.

[Sinpyon-jejong-kyojang-chonglok] is a bibliography and subject catalog, called [Sokjangkyoung-catalog], which was introduced in Coryo dynasty. It was developed by [Degakguksa Yuichun] in 11th century(1090) and holds an important feature in Korean cataloging history as well as in the world cataloging history as the first [Sokjangkyoung-catalog]. This study investigates the entry description of [Kyojang-chonglok] and analyzes it in the contemporary perspective of Cataloging Rules. The study has found that the [Kyojang-chonglok] Follows the 'title main entry method'. Since the modern a n.0, pproach a n.0, pplies direct method which utilizes title, rather than indirect method which utilizes author name, we could safely assume that [Kyojang-chonglok] follows the modern principles such as standardization of cataloging and unification of bibliographical description. We could also extend our findings to conclude that [Sinpyon-jejong-kyojang-chonglok] created a foundation for modern 'title main entry system' such as ISBD and KCR3. This paper presents a consolidated patent index to measure national technology innovation and science technology activation, as well as index for the main constituent such as corporation, research organization by comprehensive analysis of existing patent index. It is classified by macroscopic index and analytical index in the consolidated patent index, in which macroscopic index is to present a degree of innovation in national scientific innovation and is divided into the Consolidated Patent Index and Index for comparison between countries. The analytical index basically designed to measure R&D activity by the main constituent is divided to present by quantitative index utilizing bibliographical data in patent and other technical publication related therein, and qualitative index for analysis of bibliographical data. In this paper, the Consolidated Patent Index is presented by adding Creation Index representing for patent by developing excellent technology, Evaluation Index representing valuable technology thereof, and Utility Index representing applicability diffused.

Design of experiments (DOE) is a method that has been applied in the industry to improve value for many decades. This study provides an overview of 115 cases of statistical DOE applications in the field of chemical engineering. All cases were published in important scientific journals for the last ten years. The applied design type, the experiment size, the number of factors and levels affecting the response variable, and the area of application for the design were all analyzed. Obviously, the number of publications related with statistical DOE increased over time.
