공증착법으로 제작한 BSCCO 초전도 박막의 부착계수 해석 (Analysis of Sticking Coefficient in BSCCO Superconductor Thin Film Fabricated by Co-deposition)

  • BSCCO thin films are fabricated via a co-deposition process by an ion beam sputtering with an ultra-low growth rate, and sticking coefficients of the respective elements are evaluated. The sticking coefficient of Bi element exhibits a characteristic temperature dependence : almost a constant value of 0.49 below 730$^{\circ}C$ and decreases linearly with temperature over 730$^{\circ}C$. This temperature dependence can be elucidated from the evaporation and sublimation rates of bismuth oxide, Bi$_2$O$_3$, from the film surface. It is considered that the liquid phase of the bismuth oxide plays an important role in the Bi 2212 phase formation in the co-deposition process.

  • Well oriented Bi2212 superconductor thick films were formed successfully on a copper substrate by liquid reaction between a Cu-free precursor and Cu tape method in which Cu-free BSCO powder mixture was' printed on copper plate and heat-treated. And we examined the effect of heat-treatment atmosphere for the superconducting properties and microstructure of Bi2212. The composition of Cu-free BSCO powder mixture was Bi$_2O_3$ : SrCO$_3$ : CaCO$_3$ = 1.2~2 : 1 : 1 and the heat-treatment for the superconducting formation reaction was performed in air, oxygen, nitrogen and low oxygen pressure. At heat-treatment temperature, the printing layer partially melt by reacting with CuO of the oxidizing copper plate, and the nonsuperconducting phases present in the melt are typically Bi-free phases and Cu-free phases. Among the nonsuperconducting phases, it is known that the (Sr,Ca)CuO$_3$ phase restrain the formation of the Bi2212 superconducting phase. Because a kind of the nonsuperconducting phases is controled by the oxygen partial pressure, the optimum condition in which the remnants of the second phases don't leave in the fully processed conductor was determined by XRD and the critical tempera to re (Tc) analysis.

  • BSCCO 2212 HTS was fabricated by CFP(centrifugal forming process). The powder was initially ground in the mixing ratio of 2:2::1:2 with 10% of SrSO$_4$. The temperature increased up to 1035$^{\circ}C$ and 1200$^{\circ}C$ for melting. The melt was poured into the preheated and rotating copper mould from 200 to 600$^{\circ}C$. The specimen was not broken by thermal impact when the melting temperature was over 1050$^{\circ}C$ and copper mould was preheated over 400$^{\circ}C$ for 30min. A tube type of specimen was annealed at 840$^{\circ}C$ or 860$^{\circ}C$ in oxygen atmosphere for 24hours. Typical microstructure was analyzed in terms of CFP parameters by XRD, SEM, and EDS and also superconducting characteristics were compared.

  • Superconductor material $Bi_2Sr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_x$(Bi-2223) powders were synthesized by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis method. It is clear that Bi-2223 phase more than Bi-2212 phase was acquired at sufficient synthesized time. Best condition for Bi-2223 phase was synthesizing temperature at $860^{\circ}C$. We also investigated the effects for concentrations and viscosities of starting liquid precursor as well as temperature distribution of reacting furnace. The size of synthesized powder was decreased by decreasing the concentration of starting liquid precursor. Modified reacting furnace with four different temperature heating zones gave us successful results for desirable nano-powder including $Bi_2Sr_2Ca_2Cu_3O_x$ phase. Citric acid addition to starting liquid precursor showed increasing of the size for synthesized powder. Bi-2223 single phase was acquired from Bi2223 and Bi-2212 mixed phases through heat treatment in box furnace at 24 hours.

  • Temperature (T) dependence of the sheet resistance (R$\_$$\square$/) has been investigated an the c-axis oriented thin films of the (Bi2212/Bi2201) mixed crystal with different molar fractions. The R$\_$$\square$/-T superconducting characteristic deteriorated with reduction of the Bi2212 fraction, and almost disappears at 48 mol% where a superconductor-to-insulator transition too k place, with the resistance on the normal state, R$\_$N/, reaching 4.1 kΩka at 80 K. This R$\_$$\square$/ value is close to the universal quantum number, h/(2e)$_2$≡ 6.5 kΩ predicted by the Kosterlitz-Thouless (KT) transition theory. The R$\_$$\square$/-T characteristics of the 48 mol% thin film can be elucidated as a competitive process of KT transition brought about by charge or vortex in the two-dimensional layer structure.

  • 110 K 상의 산화물 고온초전도체를 B $i_{1.84}$P $b_{0.34}$S $r_{1.91}$C $a_{2.03}$C $u_{3.06}$ $O_{10+}$$\delta$의 출발조성비로 고상반응법에 의해 합성하였다. 합성된 Bi계 110 K 상의 산화물 고온초전도 물질을 다시 분말 상태로 만든 후, MgO 금속산화물 분말을 5~50 wt%의 각 비율로 혼합하였다. MgO 금속산화물 분말이 혼합된 시편들을 820~86$0^{\circ}C$로 24시간동안 최종 소결시켰다. 그 후, 각 시편들에 대하여 x-선, $T_{c}$, SEM 등을 측정하여 MgO 금속산화물 혼합량에 대한 초전도특성 및 표면의 입자 크기 변화 등에 대한 조사를 진행하였다. MgO 금속산화물의 혼합량이 증가됨에 따라 MgO 관련 피크들의 강도 및 2212 상들의 피크들의 비율은 증가되었고, 시편 내 2223 상의 비율은 감소하고 2212상의 비율은 증가되었다.다.은 증가되었다.다.

  • High-temperature Superconductor(HTS) tubes were fabricated in terms of different chemical compositions and various SrSO$_4$additions by centrifugal forming method. For powder melting by induction the optimum range of melting temperatures and preheating temperature were 1050$^{\circ}C$, 1100$^{\circ}C$ and 550$^{\circ}C$ for 30 min, respectively. The mould rotating speed was 1000 rpm. A tube was annealed at 840$^{\circ}C$ for 72 hours in oxygen atmosphere. The plates like grains more than 20 $\mu\textrm{m}$ were well developed along the rotating direction of mould regardless of initial chemical compositions and the amounts of SrSO$_4$in Bi2212. The specimen with Bi2212 composition exhibited T$\_$c/ of 83 K, while the specimens fabricated with other compositions are lower than 60 K. The measured I$\_$c/ and J$\_$c/ at 77 K(B = 0 T) in Bi2212 with 7 % SrSO$_4$ composition were about 680 A and 380 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$.

  • Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O superconductor thin films were prepared on MgO and LaAlO3 substrates by MOCVD technique. The films deposited on MgO and LaAlO3 substrates became superconducting at 64 K and 70 K respectively. The measured critical current density of thin film deposited on LaAlO3 substrate was around 104 A/$\textrm{cm}^2$. After annealing at $700^{\circ}C$ for 3 hours, the critical transition temperature(Tc) of films deposited on LaAlO3 was changed from 70 K to 74 K.

Bi계 초전도체의 도우핑 특성 (Doping Characteristics of Bi System Superconductor)

  • We investigated the effects of doping elements on the Bi system superconductor. The doping elements can be classified into two groups depending on their supeconducting characteristics in the Bi-Sr-Ca-Cu-O structure. The first group of doping elements(P and K) have a tendency to decompose the superconducting phase and reduce the optimal sintering temperature. The second group of doping elements(B, Si, Sn and Ba) almost uneffected the superconductivity of the 2223 and 2212 phase.
