인지행동 스트레스관리 프로그램이 제2형 당뇨병 환자의 자가간호 이행과 당대사에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Cognitive Behavioral Stress Management Program on Diabetic Self-Care and Glycemic Control with Diabetes Mellitus Type II)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a cognitive behavioral stress management program on diabetic self-care and glycemic control with type 2 diabetic patients. Methods: Thirty three diabetic patients who were older than 40 were recruited from a public health center and conveniently assigned into both experimental(n=16) and control groups(n=17). Participants in the experimental group had attended the weekly cognitive behavioral program for 8 weeks. Data were collected from June 2005 to August 2006 and analyzed by independent t-test using the SPSS WIN program. Results: After an 8 week intervention, participants in the experimental group reported on increasement of diabetic self-care behaviors and an increasement of blood glucose levels, which were significantly different from those in the control group. Conclusion: On the basis of those findings, we concluded that the cognitive behavioral stress management program has positive effects on diabetic self-care and glycemic control for the patients with DM. Further research is needed to identify the long-term effects of the cognitive behavioral program.

시간관리 행동치료 프로그램이 학교부적응 청소년들의 자아존중감, 스트레스 대처에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Time Management Behavioral Therapy Program on Self-Esteem, Stress Coping of School Maladjusted Adolescents)

  • 본 연구는 생활시설에서 도움을 받고 있는 학교부적응 청소년 8명을 대상으로 16주간의 시간관리 행동치료 프로그램을 적용하여 학교부적응 청소년들의 자아존중감과 스트레스 대처의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 달성하고자 자아존중감 검사와 스트레스 대처방식 척도를 적용하여 중재전후 변화를 비교분석하였다. 본 연구결과 시간관리 행동치료 프로그램 실시 전후에 학교부적응 청소년들의 자아존중감 점수가 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였고, 스트레스 대처방식 중 적극적 대처방식과 소극적 대처방식의 점수 모두 중재 전후에 유의하게 증가하였으며 단기간의 프로그램 중재효과에서도 스트레스 적극적 대처방식이 유의하게 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 시간관리 행동치료 프로그램이 학교부적응 청소년들의 자아존중감과 스트레스 대처에 긍정적인 효과가 있음을 보여주었다.

  • This study examines how the cognitive-behavioral group counseling influence on the career stress, the self-efficacy and the optimism for the coping of the career stress of students in department of aeronautical science and flight operation of H Aerospace University. The subjects of this research were 27 freshmen in the department of aeronautical science and flight operations of H Aerospace University. They were divided into 2 groups: experimental group and control group. The experimental group got the group counseling program 7 times for 3 weeks. The results show that the cognitive-behavioral group counseling program can be a very useful tool to reduce career stress and to enhance self-efficacy and optimism of students.

아토피 피부염 아동의 문제행동, 자아 역량 인식, 사회적 능력과 양육 스트레스와의 관계 (Behavioral Problem, Self-Perceived Competence, Social Competence, and Parental Stress in Children with Atopic Dermatitis)

  • Atopic dermatitis is the fastest growing skin disorder among children from infancy to adolescence in Korea. The side-effects of atopic dermatitis not only include physical discomfort, but also psychological trauma which ultimately affects the developmental growth of children. This study was conducted in order to investigate the behavioral characteristics of an atopic dermatitis sufferer. As part of this research, the relative influence of behavioral problems and, self-perceived competence were analyzed in relation to the social competence of an atopic child. In total, 301 atopic and non-atopic children, between 2 and 6 years of age, and their mothers and teachers participated in the study. From this number, 109 children had atopic dermatitis, while 192 children did not. Mothers were asked to complete a parent-report questionnaire that required information on parental stress, according to the scale parenting methodology of Abbdin(1990) and Cho(1999). Teachers were subjected to teacher-report questionnaires which included topics on social competence, socia-emotional assessment and behavioral problems of an atopic child. Furthermore, children also completed questionnaires on self-perceived competence. According to analysis on K-CBCL, ITSEA, social competence, self-perceived competence and parental stress, children with atopic dermatitis showed higher scores in depression/anxiety and depression/withdrawal, compared to children in the normal control group. In relation to parental stress, daily stress, parental role stress, and stress related disease, mothers with atopic dermatitis children exhibited higher scores. In establishing relationships among the related variables, atopic children who demonstrated more social competence were more likely to suffer less from withdrawal, attention problems, and depression/anxiety. Stress related disease in mothers with atopic children was positively related to attention problems of the child. In terms of relative influences, behavioral problems was the most significant variable, accounting for 23% of variance. Lower behavioral problems was positively related to more social competence. In summation, this study investigated the general characteristics of atopic children. In conclusion, atopic children and their mothers had difficulty in dealing with this disease. It is our belief that an atopic child would not only require physical treatment, but also need appropriate psychological care.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of a cognitive behavioral stress management program on perceived stress, coping strategies, and cortisol in people with Diabetes Mellitus Type 2. Method: Patients with type 2 diabetes were recruited from of a public health center in an urban area. Thirty-five participants (experimental group=17, and control group=18) enrolled. The experimental group received small group-based cognitive behavioral stress management training for eighty minutes per session, once a week for eight weeks. Data were collected at baseline and ninth week for perceived stress, affect-oriented coping, problem-oriented coping, and cortisol. The data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Results: The experimental group had significantly less perceived stress (t=-9.82, P<.001) and cortisol (t=-2.14, p=.040) than the control group. No significant group differences were found in affect-oriented coping (t=-.43, p=.673) or problem-oriented coping (t=1.40, P<.170). Conclusion: These results suggest that a cognitive behavioral stress management program can have positive effects on perceived stress and cortisol in patients with diabetes mellitus type 2. Further research with a larger sample and for a longer period is needed to expand our understanding of the effects of the program for patients with diabetes mellitus type 2.

일부 작업치료(학)과 학생들의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 임상실습 스트레스 및 대처방식의 차이에 관한 연구 (Study on the differences in the stress and the strategies for coping with such stress arising from clinical fieldwork in accordance with the DISC behavioral style of some of the students of occupational therapy department)

  • 본 연구를 통해 일부 작업치료(학)과 학생들의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 임상실습 스트레스 차이를 알아보고, DISC 행동유형에 따른 대처방식의 차이를 알아봄으로써 학생들의 행동유형에 따라 임상실습 시 발생할 수 있는 스트레스 대처방안을 제시할 수 있는 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 2015년 9월 1일부터 9월30일까지 부산, 울산, 경남 지역에 위치한 작업치료(학)과가 있는 대학교를 직접 방문하여 DISC 행동유형검사를 실시하고 임상실습 스트레스와 스트레스 대처방식에 관한 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과, DISC 행동유형에 따라 임상실습 스트레스 세부항목에 차이가 나타났고, DISC 행동유형에 따라 스트레스 대처방식의 차이가 나타남을 알 수 있었다. 주도형은 임상실습 기관의 물리적 환경, 임상과제의 양, 환자에 대한 수행평가, 다른 실습생과의 비교 항목에서, 사교형은 SOAP 노트와 일지작성 항목에서, 안정형은 자신의 능력수준, 실습지와 집과의 거리, 과제에 의한 수면부족 항목에서, 신중형은 할당받은 환자의 상태, 환자의 성별 항목에서 각각 다른 유형에 비해 스트레스가 높게 나타났다. 또한 주도형은 다른 유형에 비해 문제중심 대처방식을 많이 사용하고, 신중형은 정서중심 대처방식을 많이 사용하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 추후 추가적인 연구를 통해 작업치료(학)과 학생들의 임상실습 시 학생들의 행동유형을 고려하여 임상실습 스트레스를 대처할 수 있도록 실습지도 및 상담 매뉴얼 개발을 고려해볼 필요가 있다.

  • Physical and psychological events can produce stress response in various degrees. Stress affects many aspects of physiology including both brain and peripheral elements which is represented as hypothalamus-pituitary-adrenal axis. Brain elements consist of corticotropin-releasing hormone(CRH), locus ceruleus(LC)-norepinephrine(NE)/autonomic system. Peripheral elements include pituitary-adrenal axis and the autonomic nervous system, which coordinate the stress response. Current trend of the stress researches is emphasizing the mechanisms of the stress response which is adaptive or become maladaptive. This review introduces 1) the concepts of stress, 2) physiological and behavioral aspects of stress responses, 3) the consequences of stress response, 4) the measurements of stress and 5) stress management for those interested in stress research.

소방공무원에서 탄력성이 외상후스트레스 증상과 해리에 미치는 영향 : 우울의 매개 효과 (Depression as a Mediator of the Relationship Between Resilience and Posttraumatic Stress Symptoms and Dissociation in Firefighters)

  • 연구목적 본 연구는 소방공무원에서 탄력성이 외상후스트레스 증상 및 해리에 미치는 영향과 함께, 탄력성과 각 외상후스트레스 증상 및 해리의 관계에서 우울의 매개효과에 대해서 알아보고자 하였다. 방 법 총 115명의 소방공무원을 대상으로, 생활사건 체크리스트, 사건충격척도-개정판, 해리경험척도, 벡 우울척도, 코너-데이비슨 탄력성 척도를 시행하였다. 탄력성이 외상후스트레스 증상과 해리에 미치는 영향 및 우울의 매개효과를 확인하기 위해 구조방정식모형(Structural equation modeling)과 경로분석(path analysis)을 실시하였다. 결 과 탄력성이 높을수록 낮은 외상후스트레스 증상과 낮은 해리를 보였으며, 각 탄력성과 외상후스트레스 증상 및 해리의 관계는 우울이 완전 매개를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 탄력성이 외상후스트레스 증상 및 해리에 대해 직접적인 영향이 아닌 우울을 통해 간접적으로 각 증상을 감소시킴을 보여주었다. 결 론 본 연구는 소방공무원에서 외상후스트레스 증상 및 해리의 예방과 치료에 있어 탄력성 강화와 우울 증상 감소를 목표로 한 임상적 개입이 중요함을 시사한다.

간호대학생의 DISC 행동유형에 따른 임상실습스트레스와 정신건강 (Stress of Clinical Practice and Mental Health According to DISC Behavioral Styles in Nursing University Students)

  • Background: Many nursing university students were stressed during clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to identify the difference between stress of clinical practice and mental health according to behavioral styles in nursing university students. Methods: The participants of this study were 233 junior and senior nursing students who had experienced clinical practice. Data were collected by self-report questionnaires in online from November 2017 to March 2018. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS/WIN 25.0 using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients. Results: The most frequent DISC behavior style of the subjects was conscientiousness (43.8%), follewed by steadiness (19.7%), influence (18.9%), and dominance (17.6%). The participants'scores for stress of clinical practice and mental health were $3.35{\pm}0.55$ and $1.13{\pm}0.65$. The stress of clinical practice of the subjects was different according to DISC behavior styles(F=2.86, p=.038). The results show that the higher the score of stress of clinical practice was the higher the score of mental health(r=.51, p<.001). Conclusion: This study found that the difference of DISC behavioral styles can be attributed to stress of clinical practice. Therefore, nursing intervention program considering with the subjects'DISC behavior styles needs to be developed to reduce their stress of clinical practice.

Stress related activities of Sun-ginseng in SD Rats and ICR Mice

  • The main aim of this study was to investigate stress related activities of Sun-ginseng extract as a candidate for anti-stress-related functional supplement by comparing its effect to those of red ginseng, which is also known to alleviate stress. Normal group was not exposed to stress while the control group was exposed to stress. Rats were orally administered once a day with 200 mg red ginseng (RG) extract, 100 or 200 mg Sun-ginseng (SG) extract/kg body weight. Mice were given water containing 400 mg red ginseng extract, 200 or 400 mg SG/100 mL potable water. Rats were given supplements for 5 days without stress, and 5 days with restraint and electroshock stress. After final stress, stress-related behavioral changes of experimental animals were recorded and levels of blood corticosterone were measured. Mice were given supplements for 5 days through drinking water, and then fatigue related motor activity were recorded. SG-supplementation partially blocked stress effect on locomotion and elevated plus maze test in rats, and also partially blocked stress-induced behavioral changes such as freezing, burrowing, smelling, facewashing, grooming and rearing behavior in rats. SG-supplementation decreased blood corticosterone level which is increased by stress in rats. Effects of SG may not be modulated by GABAnergic nervous system. SG-supplementation prolonged swimming time and staying time on the wire and rotarod wheel in mice. These results suggest that SG partially protects living organisms from stress attack in some cases and thus has the potential to be used as a functional food to alleviate stress response.
