Objectives : This study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bee Venom acupuncture therapy on chronic arthritis of ankle, Methods : We divided chronic arthritis of ankle patient into 2 group; one group combined bee venom acupuncture therapy and acupuncture therapy, another group was only acupuncture therapy. To estimate the efficacy of treatment that applied for two groups, we used visual analog scale(VAS). We compared the VAS score of two groups statistically. Results : 1. As a result of evaluation by using visual analog scale(VAS), treatment score at final was marked more higher than score before treatment on each groups. 2. treatment at final, acupuncture and bee venom acupuncture therapy group had significant result on visual analog scale(VAS) compared with acupuncture therapy group. Conclusion : Bee Venom acupuncture therapy can be used with acupuncture therapy for highly effective treatment for chronic arthritis of ankle.

Objectives : This report was performed to evaluate the treatment of acupuncture Therapy. Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion In Chronic lschial bursitis. Methods : We treated 1 case of chronic Ischial Bursitis with acupuncture therapy, Bee Venom Acupuncture therapy, herbal medication and Moxibustion Results : After 8 weeks of acupuncture Therapy. Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion. a remarkable improvenment was made for Chronic lschial bursitis. The patient couldn't feel painful swelling over the center of the buttock and down the back of the leg. Conclusion : Acupuncture Therapy, Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medication and Moxibustion were effective In reducing the symptoms. We think that it need the further study and clinical trial for Chronic lschial bursitis.

Objectives : This report was performed to evaluated the treatment of Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medicaion and Moxibustion in herniation of inter-vertebral disc. Methods : We treated 1 case of herniation of inter-vertebral disc with Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medicaion and Moxibustion. Results : After 12 days of Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medicaion and Moxibustion, a remarkable improvement was made for herniation of inter-vertebral disc. The patient couldn't feel pain on walking. Conclusion : Bee venom acupuncture Therapy, acupuncture Therapy, Herbal medicaion and Moxibustion were effective in reducing the symptoms.

Objective : There are little report on treatment of Diffuse Idiopathic Skeletal Hyperostosis(DISH) in Traditional Korean Medicine. We suggest to treat DISH with a Korean Bee-Vonom Therapy and would like to suggest treatment plan for the further treatments. Methods : Under the assumption that Korean Bee-Venom Therapy may be affective for treatment DISH, the following points were administreted :Hua-Tuo-Jia-Ji-Xue Results : After 14 weeks of treatment-especailly Korean Bee-Venom Therapy, a remarkable improvement was made for DISH. Conclusion : Significant improvement in DISH was obtained with through Korean Bee-venom Therapy, Four needle technique, Common Acupucture Treatment and Herbal medication. Although this case yielded favorable result, more study should be made to prove the effectiveness of Korean Bee-Venom Therapy for treating DISH.

Objective : To report seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp which is treated by Bee-venom Acupuncture therapy. Methods : Under the assumption that Be-venom Therapy may be effective for treatment seborrheic dermatitis, Bee-venom acupuncture was injected subcutaneously into the lesion including Gv24(神庭), Gv23(上星), Gv22, Gv20(白會), B4(曲差), B5(五處), B6(承光), S8(頭維), etc. Results : The symptoms including erythematous plaque, scale, itching were resolved clearly except a little scale by Bee-venom acupuncture Therapy. Conclusions : Bee-venom acupuncture Therapy is effective in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis. if more clinical trials like this are proved to be effective in seborrheic dermatitis, we can expect that Bee-venom acupuncture Therapy is used to treatment of seborrheic dermatitis as good method.

Objectives : This study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Bee Venom acupuncture therapy on patients with cervical spondylosis. Methods: We investigated 29 cases of patients with cervical spondylosis. We divided patients into two groups: Bee venom Acupuncture was performed at one group, and the other group we did acupuncture therapy. To evaluate the effectiveness of treatment applied for two groups, we used visual analog scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI). We compared the VAS and NDI score of two groups statistically. Results : As a result of evaluation by using visual analog scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI), treatment score at final was significantly different from that at the baseline in each groups. Treatment at final, Bee venom acupuncture therapy group showed significant difference on visual analog scale(VAS) and neck disability index(NDI) compared with acupuncture therapy group. Conclusions : Bee Venom acupuncture therapy can be used with acupuncture therapy for highly effective in the patient with cervical spondylosis.

Objective : The purpose of this study is to report the efficiency of Bee Venom Therapy by managering of radial nerve palsy patients. Method : Three patients were treatmented by Bee Venom therapy and acupucture therapy. And we took pictures of someone's wrist and checked the power of muscles by the improving phase. Results : Almost cases shows the improvement in the movement of wrist and the numbness of hand. By using acuputure and Bee Venom therapy, the symptoms of radial nerv palsy was more fastly recovered.

Objectives To evaluate the evidence supporting the effectiveness of Bee Venom therapy for traumatic injury. Methods We conducted search across 3 electronic databases (Pubmed, CAJ and Oasis) to find clinical trials that used Bee Venom therapy as treatment for traumatic injury. The methodological quality of RCTs (Randomized controlled clinical trials) were assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias (RoB) tool, while NRCTs (Non-Randomized controlled clinical trials) were assessed using the Cochrane Risk of Bias Assessment tool for Non-randomized Study (RoBANS) tool. Results Among 87 articles that were searched, 10 RCTs and 19 NRCTs were finally selected. Among 19 selected studies, all studies showed that Bee Venom therapy has significant effect on traumatic injury. Conclusions Our systematic review found encouraging but limited evidence of Bee Venom therapy for traumatic injury. We recommend clinical trials which compare the effectiveness of Bee Venom therapy with other pharmacopuncture therapies to clarify the effectiveness of Bee Venom therapy from other pharmacopuncture therapies.

Objectives : This study was designed to evaluate the effects of Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture therapy in patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods : We investigated 16 patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. We divided patients into two groups : Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture was performed with acupuncture therapy for one group, and the other group received acupuncture therapy only. To evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment applied to the two groups, we used the Visual Analog Scale(VAS) and the Oswestry Low-back Pain Disability Index(ODI). We compared the VAS and ODI scores of the two groups statistically. Results : The Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture group received more effective relief than the acupunctureonly group as measured by decreasedpain and disability reported on the VAS and ODI by patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Conclusions: Bee Venom Pharmacopuncture therapy can be used in addition to acupuncture therapy for highly effective treatment of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Further clinical studies are needed to verify these findings.

Objective : This study was designed to find out the effects of Korean bee-venom therapy on neck pain due to soft tissue damage. Methods : This study was carried out for 34 patients who had neither structral defectiveness of cervical spine nor neural injury but simple soft tissue damage among poeple who visited Hye-dang Oriental Hospital from March 4, 2002 to September 30, 2002. Group A of 17 patients was taken Korean bee-venom therapy Group B of 17 patients was taken common acupuncture therapy. Results : We have found out the good effects of Korean bee-venom therapy on the patients due to soft tissue damage. Conclusions : The Korean bee-venom therapy is useful on the patients of neck pain due to soft tissue damage.
