  • We have studied the effect of head of the line blocking (HOLB) on session initiation protocol (SIP) session establishment delays. Our results are based on experiments performed in a test bed and on the public Internet. We used the stream control transmission protocol (SCTP) as a transport for SIP because SCTP can be configured to suffer or to avoid HOLB. Our experiments show that the effect of HOLB on session establishment delays generally starts to be significant starting at fairly low packet loss rates. However, there are scenarios where network conditions are good enough to make the effect of HOLB insignificant.

  • The digital substations are being built based on the IEC 61850 network. The cooperation and protection of power system are becoming more intelligent and reliable in the environment of digital substation. This paper proposes a novel method to prevent the malfunction caused by the Transformer Magnetizing Inrush Current(TMIC) using the IEC 61850 based data sharing between the IEDs. To protect a main transformer, the current differential protection(87T) and over-current protection(50/51) are used generally. The 87T IED applies to the second harmonic blocking method to prevent the malfunction caused by the TMIC. However, the 50/51 IED may malfunction caused by the TMIC. To solve that problem, the proposed method uses a GOOSE inter-lock signal between two IEDs. The 87T IED transmits a blocking GOOSE signal to the 50/51 IED, when the TMIC is detected. The proposed method can make a cooperation of digital substation protection system more intelligent. To verify the performance of proposed method, this paper performs the real time test using the RTDS (Real Time Digital Simulator) test-bed. Using the RTDS, the power system transients are simulated, and the TMIC is generated. The performance of proposed method is verified in real-time using that actual current signals. The reaction of simulated power system responding to the operation of IEDs can be also confirmed.

  • Korean melon (Cucumis melo L.) is an environment in which most farming work can affect the increase in musculoskeletal diseases, and the stems are attracted to the ground in order to grow no-heating cultivation. In this study, growth and productivity were compared according to the type of high-bed. The narrower the surface area at the bottom of the high-bed, the faster the initial growth, which was advantageous. The bed is which the height if 70 cm, the surface temperature has risen due to the increase in direct solar radiation inflow since April, requiring side light blocking to block the inflow of solar radiation. In terms of fruit quality, the 200 cm width treatment had higher fruit sugar content and better hardness than the 160 cm treatment. From April to September, the total yield was 6.8 kg/plant of treatment A, 8.7 kg/plant of treatment B, 5.8 kg/plant of treatment C, treatment B mainly 50% higher than treatment C, and 27% higher than treatment A. Therefore, the bed form suitable for Korean melon high bed is 200 cm wide, 40 cm high between the surface and the bed, and the surface of the passage between the beds is 30cm high from the ground to the bed.

  • The increase in the Internet and smart device users requires high-level network security. Network security consists of Web Firewall, Network Firewall, IPS, DDoS system, UTM (Unified Treat Management), VPN, NAC (Network Access Control), Wireless security, Mobile security, and Virtualization. Most network security solutions running on IPv4, and IPv6 network services are not sufficiently ready. Therefore, in this paper, this study designed and implemented important functions of Network Access Control (NAC), which include IPv6 host detection, isolation, blocking and domain assignment for the IPv6 network. In particular, domain assignment function makes 128 bits IPv6 address management easy. This system was implemented on a KISA IPv6 test-bed using well known devices. Finally, the test result showed that all IPv6 based wired and wireless devices were well-controlled (detection, blocking, isolation and domain assignment).

  • Purpose : The purpose of this study was to investigate the applicability of poly-L-guluronic alginate (PGA) gel in vascular embolization with angiography simulation. Materials and Methods : To prepare a gel-forming PGA from no guluronate-rich Laminaria japonica, a new acid hydrolysis method was employed with a lower HCL concentration (0.03 M) and a shorter treatment time (5 min). The obtained PGAs were selected based on gel stability and viscosity. Glass aneurysm model was used to simulate gel embolization in vitro. Then, finally, the PGA was used to embolize the renal vascular system by using a rabbit model and angiography. Results : Glass aneurysm model was made to simulate gel embolization procedure. PGA solution was injected from pump through 2-way catheter. Subsequent injection of $CaCl_2$ successfully formed gels inside aneurysm model that conforming to its inner contour. In rabbit model, first, renal artery and aorta leading to the right kidney were ligated to block blood flow, then conventional contrast agent was injected through aorta to check the arterial patency to the left kidney. In sequential artery injection method, PGA and $CaCl_2$ were injected through renal artery sequentially via a single catheter. Re-injection of contrast agent after removing ligated aorta showed blood flow to the right kidney but no flow in the left kidney. This result demonstrated a complete blocking of blood flow due to gel formation in vascular bed of the left kidney. Conclusion : Instillation of calcium alginate into aneurysm model and arterial system in vivo produced an embolization that better fills and conforms to the contour of aneurysms or blocking vascular bed completely. Therefore, PGA was effective endovascular occlusion materials and provide an efficiency of vascular angiography.

  • In this study, we developed a system that can change position to improve obstructive sleep apnea. Blocking of the breathing airway caused by obstruction of the apnea, lateral position is provided by the airway to improve the apnea. We used a pressure sensor (FSR402) in the form of an array to determine the position of patient. The air cylinder was controlled to raise and lower the bed. As a result of calculating the pressure difference between the supine position and the lateral position, it was $0.41{\pm}0.30$ and $1.09{\pm}0.73$. In other words, when the patient is lateral position, the difference between the sensor values on the right and left side is large. Therefore, it is confirmed that the system can maintain airway to breath for improvement of obstructive sleep.

  • Multipath TCP (MPTCP), which is a layer 4 protocol that can get the reliability and the efficiency of the transmission by using multipath transfer, was standardized by the IETF. MPTCP provides superior performance when compared to a single TCP when used in a homogeneous network with similar network characteristics. However, MPTCP degrades performance when used in heterogeneous networks with different network characteristics. In this paper, we propose 'Delay-alerted path-blocking scheduler'. It measures the delay of each path and blocks the path with a long delay to reduce the order of packets in the receive buffer. If the duplicated packet is sent to the blocked path to measure the delay and the congestion on the blocking path is reduced, the blocked path is unblocked. For performance analysis, the proposed scheduler was implemented in the Linux kernel and improved performance was obtained in the test bed. We also confirmed that the proposed scheduler reduces the degradation of MPTCP performance in real wireless networks with heterogeneous path characteristics.

  • Purpose: This study evaluated the awareness of physical therapists of community-based integrated care policies and their relevance to their roles. Their perceptions of these policies were examined in light of government initiatives, and the need for improved integration within community care frameworks was identified. Methods: The study surveyed physical therapists from various healthcare settings using a convenience sampling method and collected data online from September 1 to September 21, 2019. Analysis with SPSS Statistics 23 included frequency analysis, one-way ANOVA with Sheffe post-hoc tests, and Chi-square tests, with a significance level set to 0.05. Results: Among 419 physical therapists, 51.1% were male, and 48.9% were female, with the majority holding a bachelor's degree and working in nursing hospitals. The average perception of community-integrated care was 3.2±1.2, with significant variations according to the workplace (p=0.003), significantly lower in clinics. The social admission rates also varied significantly according to the type (p=0.039), with differences in the reasons for admissions, such as convenience in hospitals and patient anxiety in clinics. Conclusion: The perception of the community care system among physical therapists was relatively low. Therefore, it is essential to provide therapists who frequently engage with patients with opportunities to deepen their understanding of national healthcare policies. Enhancing this understanding will better align their practices with central healthcare objectives and improve their integration within the system.
