The purpose of this research study is to analyze the effect of servicescape on customer orientation of skin beauty professionals. To attain the purpose, this study conducted self-administered survey of skin beauty professionals who have been working in Seoul cities and Gyeonggi provinces. by handing out total 438 copies of questionnaire. But 400 copies except for 38 ones of those respondents deemed to be unfaithful responses were analyzed and researched. A total of 400 questionnaire responses were used for data analyses. According to the results of factor analysis, Factor analysis revealed five factors of servicescape-surrounding factors, functionality, aesthetics, safety, and convenience- and three factors of customer orientation of beauty professional-understanding customer needs, beauty professional needs to offer services and meeting customer needs of beauty professionals. The result of regression analysis revealed that as for understanding customer needs of skin beauty professionals, convenience and functionality, safety and aesthetics has significant effects. All five factors of servicescape, safety, aesthetics, functionality, surrounding factors and conveniences, have significant effects on meeting customer needs. Regarding beauty professional needs to offer services, safety, functionality and convenience factor were significant factors. The study is to provide preliminary data on information useful in developing the method for managing and improving servicescape.
The purpose of this study is to research the achievement motivation of beauty industry professionals. The research method involved one-on-one, in-depth interviews with 7 hair professionals, 7 make-up professionals and 7 skincare professionals. The in-depth interviews were recorded in their entirety, and the recorded content was transcribed and organized. Analysis of the transcribed data involved encoding, deconstructing and re-composing the interview content. Research results revealed 5 factors that were extracted to explain the achievement motivation of beauty industry professionals. Four of the 5 factors were similar to the results of precedent studies, but the remaining factor presented unique characteristics. The 4 common factors were "motive to pursue success", "motive to avoid failure", "motive to meet challenges" and "goal-oriented motive". The factor discovered in this study was "relationship-oriented motive", which is characterized by the tendency to place importance in relationships with superiors, colleagues and customers based on the working characteristics of beauty industry professionals. Based on the results of this study, beauty industry professionals can learn about goals that must be met in various stages in order to establish a system for accomplishing those goals, implement an emotional education program for mental balance, introduce a competitive team system, and carry out a relationship improvement program to increase work efficiency.

The image of beauty professionals who have wide contact with consumers is an important factor that can increase satisfaction and loyalty in consumers by exerting a positive influence on them. The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of, and relationships among, self-esteem, positive thinking, and job commitment on image-making efficacy in beauty professionals. The method and scope of this study were carried out by theoretical research related to image-making efficacy, positive thinking, self-esteem, job engagement, and survey research with beauty professionals located in Seoul and the Gyeonggi-do area. We used SPSS v. 23.0 and Amos v. 23.0 to analyze demographic characteristics, the coefficient of internal consistency of the survey items, descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and the Sobel Test. The results of the study show that the image-making efficacy of beauty professionals had a positive (+) effect on self-esteem, positive thinking, and job commitment. Second, self-esteem in beauty professionals was found to exert a positive effect (+) on their positive thinking and job commitment. Third, positive thinking by beauty professionals contributed to a positive effect (+) on job commitment. Fourth, the study found that self-esteem and positive thinking mediated the relationship between beauty professionals' image-making efficacy and job commitment.
The purpose of this study is to empirically research the effect of jaycustomers behavior perception on emotional dissonance, job enthusiasm, and management performance. The sample was 327 beauty workers. The research methods were conducted by frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis. First, the study shows it was confirmed that the perception of jaycustomers behavior causes emotional dissonance and loss of job enthusiasm for beauty professionals. Second, it was confirmed that the perception of the behavior of jaycustomers had a statistically significant effect on emotional dissonance. Third, the perception of the behavior of jaycustomers had a statistically significant effect on management performance. Fourth, emotional dissonance had a statistically significant effect on job enthusiasm. Fifth, it was confirmed that management performance had a statistically significant effect on job enthusiasm. Therefore, it is believed the perception of jaycustomers behavior negatively affects beauty professionals.

The survey targeted 270 men and women in their from their 20s-50s who live in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the vocation of beauty worker on job satisfaction and self-development. The questionnaire was administered from January 5th to March 10th, 2020, and 243 responses were used for statistical analysis. 27 unanswered or unfaithful questionnaires were disregarded. Using SPSS WIN 21.0 was applied for statistical processing. First, the data was analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis, factor analysis, and reliability verification, For validity verification, one-way variance analysis, correlation analysis, and simple regression analysis were used. The results of this study are as follows. First, upon examining the hypothesis that vocation has a positive (+) effect on job satisfaction, a significant positive (+) influence was shown, and it was found that it was determined vocation is an important factor in job satisfaction for beauty industry professionals. Second, upon examining the hypothesis that vocation has a positive (+) effect on self- development, a significant positive (+) correlation was found between the self-development of beauty industry professionals and job satisfaction. Third, upon examining the hypothesis that occupational vocation has a positive (+) effect on self- development, a significant positive (+) correlation was shown between self-development and job satisfaction of beauty industry professionals.
This study was carried out after the author experienced different personalities according to blood type over many years and thus have attempted to find out the relationships between blood type and each occupation in the industry. This study aims to analyze employees in the beauty industry (hair design, skin care, nail art and makeup) in Seoul with regard to their blood types. The significance of this study is to provide baseline data for entrants and managers in the beauty industry in order to help them choose the right occupation and reduce turnover rates through analyzing employee personalities by blood type. Research topics include the following: first, to understand the characteristics of employees in the beauty industry; and second, to find out the relationships between blood types and types of professions. After conducting an inquiry into the relationships between blood type and profession in the industry, a significant portion of skin care (49.3%) and nail art (43.8%) professionals was blood type A; nail artists (43.8%), type AB; hair designers (54.7%), type B; and makeup artists (50.0%) and hair designers (29.2%), type O. In conclusion, these results reflect the personalities of people within the beauty industry by blood type. Skin care and nail art shops are quiet environments, whereas hair salons are relatively louder with contemporary music along with the sounds of various equipment.

In this study, we tried to investigate the relationship between the cosmetology major student's major satisfaction and the professionals by analyzing the effect of the cosmetology major student's major satisfaction on the beauty professional hall. The purpose of this study is to define the relationships among the emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention of beauty industry workers. The data for this study were collected through a survey, and a total of 197 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The survey items were classified into 4 domains: demographic characteristics, emotional labor, job satisfaction, and turnover intention. This study extracted factors that compose each measurement domain to define the impact of emotional labor on job satisfaction or turnover intention. According to the research results, 3 factors - positive norm, sincere behavior, and emotional incongruity - were extracted for emotional labor. Individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction were extracted as the factors for job satisfaction, whereas a single factor was extracted for turnover intention. By analyzing the effect of factors related to the emotional labor of beauty in dustry workers on factors related to job satisfaction, results showed that positive norm positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction, sincere behavior positively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction and work environment satisfaction, and emotional incongruity negatively influenced individual aptitude satisfaction. Among factors related to emotional labor, positive norm and sincere behavior negatively affected turnover intention, whereas emotional incongruity positively influenced turnover intention. With regard to the effect of job satisfaction on the turnover intention of beauty industry workers, results showed that individual aptitude satisfaction and job environment satisfaction negatively (-) affected turnover intention. The results of this study show that people presenting a high level of individual aptitude satisfaction displayed positive job satisfaction, whereas people showing serious emotional incongruity for work presented high turnover intention. This implies that in order to increase the work efficiency of beauty businesses, it is essential to examine and manage the emotional labor of workers as a measure for increasing job satisfaction and lowering turnover.

This study's research method was to investigate the effects of career development in the field of beauty on organizational commitment. A survey targeted 271 beauty workers living in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. For data analysis, SPSS 21.0 was used for statistical processing. First, descriptive statistics were analyzed, followed by a factor analysis and reliability analysis, third, correlation analysis, and finally linear regression analysis. Detailed research results are as follows. First, the effect of career development of beauty workers and organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. The independent variables, self-development, goal orientation, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, were found to have a statistically significant positive effect. Second, the effect of career development of beauty workers on co-workers' organizational commitment was investigated. The result is as follows. By the independent variable, self-development, and career orientation, which are sub-variables of career development, are found to have a significant positive effect. However, goal orientation had no effect. Therefore, based on the results of this study, the implications are as follows. As beauty is a creative pursuit, it is often done in collaboration rather than alone, and therefore camaraderie plays an important part in the foundation of a commitment to a company. It is a field that goes after a goal after committing to a community mindset, instead of pursuing a goal alone.
The K-Beauty beauty industry is emerging as a future-oriented growth industry that creates high added value. Therefore, this study analyzed the trends of the K-Beauty beauty industry, the latest cosmetics industry trends, and previous studies and reports related to global competitiveness with the purpose of suggesting a direction to develop into a promising industry with future value needs and competitiveness of consumers. First, it is necessary to induce the demonstration of social and economic value as an export-beneficial industry by enabling division of roles between industries and governments by sector based on innovation and creativity. Second, it is expected to succeed only when beauty and IT are fused to form and expand an innovation network. Finally, if legal and institutional improvements are preceded to solve the task of creating new jobs and fostering professionals that meet the goals of industrial development, it will be possible to strategize the revitalization of the future-oriented K-Beauty beauty industry.
