Design of Clustering based Smart Platform for 3D Position (클러스터링 기반의 3D 위치표시용 스마트 플랫폼설계)

  • In this paper, the 3D positioning of IoT sensors with the Unity engine of android platform based home-hub was proposde for IoT(Internet of Things) users. Especially, the monitoring of IoT sensor and battery status was designed with the clustering of IoT sensor's position. The 3D positioning of RSSI(received signal strength indicator) and angle for new IoT sensor according to clustering method was described with the cooperation of beacon and received arrival signal time. This unity engine based smart hub platform can monitor the working situation of IoT sensors, and apply 3D video with texture for the life-cycling of many IoT sensors simultaneously. rs was described with RSSI(received signal strength indicator) and received angle.

  • 무선 센서 네트워크의 표준인 IEEE 802.15.4는 전력소모를 줄이기 위해 비컨을 사용하는 슈퍼프레임 구조를 지원하는데 이를 멀티 홈 네트워크 환경에 적용시킬 경우 비컨의 충돌이 발생한다. 네트워크의 정보를 담은 비컨이 충돌되면 노드간의 통신에 장애가 발생하고 새로 네트워크에 참여하고자하는 노드도 수용할 수 없게 된다. 이와 같은 문제를 개선하고자 본 논문에서는 현재 제안되어있는 비컨 충돌 회피 방법들을 분석하고 이를 바탕으로 이웃 노드의 정보를 이용하여 다수의 센서 노드가 중복된 시간에 비컨을 전송할 수 있도록 하여 전체 네트워크에 비컨이 전송되는 시간을 줄이는 방법을 제시한다.

Design and Implementation of Healthcare Game Content in IOT Environment

  • In Recently, as the interest in health has increased and the spread of smart phones has become common, the development of smart health care related contents has been active. In this paper, we introduce the design, implementation and effects of game-based content that can make walking exercise fun in the Internet of Things environment. This content calculates the consumed calories by walking the stairs with the Beacon installed, and incorporates games to encourage continuous fun activities. It also provides event functions that enable on-off-line coordination. The goal of this content is to enable busy modern people to exercise lightly, funly, and constantly in the surrounding activity space. The effect of this content has been confirmed through the review of many users participating in offline events. This content is expected to be able to converge with various types of healthcare systems with the expansion of the application space.

  • 다수의 일반 카메라로 촬영한 영상들로 360도 영상을 제작하는 경우 다수의 영상 간 동일한 영역을 찾고 기하학 보정을 위한 영상 스티칭 기술이 필요하다. 영상 스티칭 기술은 여러 영상에서 추출한 특징점들의 유사도를 비교하여 영상들을 이어 붙여 큰 하나의 영상으로 만드는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 비콘이 부착된 공연장을 가정하여, 비콘을 통해서 촬영자의 위치를 대략적으로 파악하고, 사용자가 어플리케이션을 통하여 전송한 영상과 영상의 방위각, FOV(Field Of View)들을 이용하여 실내에서 촬영된 영상들을 스티칭 대상 영상들로 필터링하는 방법을 제안한다.

A Latency-Secured Algorithm for Delay-Sensitive Large-Scale Sensor Networks (지연에 민감한 대규모 센서네트워크에서 지연시간 보장을 위한 알고리즘)

  • When a sensor network is used for monitoring environments in large area or transmitting information in a u-City the number of nodes becomes very large. One of the problems with this application is the increased time delay, especially in reverse direction. In this paper, we propose a new algorithm that can minimize the latency of reverse packet in large sensor network. Analysis shows that the proposed scheme can reduce the latency by more than 90% when compared to Zigbee, while the energy consumption is maintained.

  • With the advent of the ubiquitous technology age, the progress of network technology has enabled a robust sensor communication, not just in cities, but also in poor surroundings such as deserts, polar regions, or underwater environments. In this paper, we propose a Multiple Acknowledgement (MA) technique to replace the conventional Automatic Repeat request (ARQ) technique. The MA mechanism is to send an Ack to many receivers simultaneously. The CH (master, coordinator) of the unit cluster broadcasts a Beacon frame where Ack information of the previously transmitted data is included. This technique can reduce the number of transmissions and overhead significantly. The proposed technique is a scheme improving the efficiency of an underwater sensor network where the uplink data transmission is the mainstream. The Performance of the ARQ, Block Ack, Pervasive Block Ack and the proposed method were compared with one another and analyzed. The proposed method showed significant performance improvement as compared with the ARQ, BA, and PBA in its channel efficiency.

  • In an environment of IoT services, sensors to track things and human activities are included as an essential element and smart phone is actively used as a means of collecting and processing information from sensors. Especially, wireless communication and NFC provided by the smart phone are key technologies for exchanging information between participants of IoT service. In this paper, we propose and implement the smart attendance checking system based on BLE using a beacon for improving the quality of a university lecture by processing attendance information automatically. Proposed system uses the beacon sensor for being aware of attendance information and the smart phone for receiving and processing this information. The implemented system has the benefit to improve the lecture quality because a professor can minimize attendance checking time and spend a lot of time on the lecture.

Adaptive Link Quality Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks (무선 센서 네트워크에서 적응적인 링크 품질 측정)

  • In the wireless sensor networks using a multi-hop, quality variation of links occurs irregularly due to the hardware restriction and environmental factor. If an appropriate route, which is affected by the quality variation, is not selected. Traditionally, a beacon is periodically broadcasted and the link quality is estimated. However, the periodically beacon based scheme cannot efficiently estimate the quality of the link changing irregularly. In this paper, a scheme to estimate the link quality adaptively according to network state is proposed. When the link quality changes, the scheme adapts to a change agilely and packet losses are reduced. When there is no change of the link quality, the link quality is estimated in the long period and the energy consumption is reduced. Through performance evaluations, we prove that our adaptive link estimation scheme improves the energy efficiency and packet reception ratio than the periodic estimation scheme.

  • In this paper, a routing algorithm for wireless sensor networks is proposed to improve the efficiency of energy consumption in sensor nodes. Each sensor node has the value called ‘Flooding Level’ obtained through the initial flooding from a sink node instead of sending beacon messages in multi-hop sensor field. This value can be used for guaranteeing the sensor nodes to connect with a sink node and determining the roles of cluster-head and cluster-gateway node efficiently and simply during the clustering. If different algorithms are added to our protocol, it will work better in the side of energyefficiency. This algorithm is evaluated through analysis and extensive simulations.

  • In this paper, Medium Access Control(MAC) protocol designed for Wireless Body area Sensor Network(Bio-MAC) is proposed, Because in WBSN, the number of node is limited and each node has different characteristics. Also, reliability in transmitting vital data sensed at each node and periodic transmission should be considered so that general MAC protocol cannot satisfy such requirements of biomedical sensors in WBSN. Bio-MAC aims at optimal MAC protocol in WBSN. For this, Bio-MAC used Pattern -SuperFrame, which modified IEE E 802.15.4-based SuperFrame structurely. Bio-MAC based on TDMA uses Medium Access-priority and Pattern eXchange -Beacon method for dynamic slot allocation by considering critical sensing data or power consumption level of sensor no de etc. Also, because of the least delay time. Bio-MAC is suitable in the periodic transmission of vital signal data. The simulation results demonstrate that a efficient performance in WBSN can be achieved through the proposed Bio-MAC.
