In this paper, we propose the development of high-sensitivity low-end radiation measuring sensor module. The proposed measurement sensor module is a scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design, amplification and filter and control circuit design for sensor driver, control circuit design including short-distance communication, sensor mechanism design and manufacturing, and GUI development applied to prototypes consists of, etc. The scintillator + photomultiplier(SiPM) sensor optimization structure design is designed by checking the characteristics of the scintillator and the photomultiplier (SiPM) for the sensor structure design. Amplification, filter and control circuit design for sensor driver is designed to process fine scintillation signal generated by radiation with a scintillator using SiPM. Control circuit design including short-distance communication is designed to enable data transmission through MCU design to support short-range wireless communication function and wired communication support. The sensor mechanism design and manufacture is designed so that the glare generated by wrapping a reflective paper (mirroring) on the outside of the plastic scintillator is reflected to increase the efficiency in order to transmit the fine scintillation signal generated from the plastic scintillator to the photomultiplier(SiPM). The GUI development applied to the prototype expresses the date and time at the top according to each screen and allows the measurement unit and time, seconds, alarm level, communication status, battery capacity, etc. to be expressed. In order to evaluate the performance of the proposed system, the results of experiments conducted by an authorized testing institute showed that the radiation dose measurement range was 30 𝜇Sv/h ~ 10 mSv/h, so the results are the same as the highest level among products sold commercially at domestic and foreign. In addition, it was confirmed that the measurement uncertainty of ±7.4% was measured, and normal operation was performed under the international standard ±15%.
The high-tech industry, a highly knowledge-intensive industry based on advanced technologies such as electronics, new materials, and IT, is developing rapidly centering on the semiconductor, display, and battery fields. The market size of this industry is continuously increasing, and various challenges are coming forward due to various factors such as changes in the market, changes in demand, and the requirements of the clients. Many strategies are being implemented to advance the start-up time of factories, such as fast-track construction and basic line construction. Therefore, construction of high-tech factory is required to respond to various types of construction plans and early decision making, and an accurate and reliable method of calculating construction costs is needed. In this study the existing construction type was classified into the overall line configuration considering the total production of the factory, and a basic line configuration for quick production start-up. The correction ratio/value for each detailed construction required to calculate the construction cost of the basic line configuration type was derived. Finally, reliability and accuracy were verified by applying the correction ratio suggested in this study to a new high-tech factory construction project.

Regardless of a trade-off relationship between energy density and safety, it is essential to improve both properties for future lithium secondary batteries. Especially, to improve the energy density of batteries further, not only thickness but also weight of separators including ceramic coating layers should be reduced continuously apart from the development of high-capacity electrode active materials. For this purpose, an attempt to replace conventional slurry coating methods with a deposition one has attracted much attention for securing comparable thermal stability while minimizing the thickness and weight of ceramic coating layer in the separator. This review introduces state-of-the-art technology on ceramic-coated separators (CCSs) manufactured by the deposition method. There are three representative processes to form a ceramic coating layer as follows: chemical vapor deposition (CVD), atomic layer deposition (ALD), and physical vapor deposition (PVD). Herein, we summarized the principle and advantages/disadvantages of each deposition method. Furthermore, each CCS was analyzed and compared in terms of its mechanical and thermal properties, air permeability, ionic conductivity, and electrochemical performance.

In this study, various plant-based biomass are recycled into carbon materials to employ as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries. Firstly, various biomass of rice husk, chestnut, tea bag, and coffee ground are collected, washed, and ground. The carbonization process is followed under a nitrogen atmosphere at 850℃. The morphological and chemical properties of materials are investigated using FE-SEM, EDS, and FT-IR to compare the characteristic differences between various biomass. It is noticeable that biomass-derived carbon materials vary in shape and degree of carbonization depending on their precursor materials. These materials are applied as anode materials to measure the electrochemical performance. The specific capacities of rice husk-, chetnut-, tea bag-, and coffee ground-derived carbon materials are evaluated as 65.8, 80.2, 90.6, and 104.7 mAh g-1 at 0.2C. Notably, coffee ground-based carbon exhibited the highest specific capacity owing to the difference in elemental composition and the degree of carbonization. Conclusively, this study suggests the possibility of utilizing as energy storage devices by employing various plant-based biomass into active materials for anodes.
To improve the performance of aluminum-air batteries, it is very important to understand the effect of electrolytes on the electrochemical properties of electrodes. In this study, the effects of electrolyte cations on the electrochemical redox reactions proceeding at the negative and positive electrodes were investigated using electrolytes having the same anion but different cations such as NaCl, LiCl, CaCl2, and ZnCl2. It was confirmed by discharge test, scanning electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis that electrolyte cations affect the discharge potential and specific capacity of the electrode. Precipitates were formed on the surface of the positive electrode by Ca2+ and Zn2+ ions, resulting in degradation of the performance of the positive electrode. In addition, Ca2+ ions passivated the negative electrode and accelerated the performance degradation. This suggests that the positive ions of the electrolyte have different effects on the electrochemical performance of the positive and negative electrodes.

The fundamental electrochemical properties and adsorption capabilities of the carbonized product derived from coffee grounds, a prevalent form of lignocellulose abundantly generated in our daily lives, have been extensively investigated. The structure and morphology of the resultant carbonized product, obtained through a carbonization process conducted at a relatively low temperature of 600 ℃, were meticulously examined using a scanning electron microscope. Raman spectroscopy measurements yielded a relative crystallinity (D/G ratio) of the carbon product of 0.64. Electrical measurements revealed a linear ohmic relationship within the carbonized product. Furthermore, the viability of utilizing this carbonized material as an anode in lithium-ion batteries was evaluated through half-cell charge/discharge experiments, demonstrating an initial specific capacity of 520 mAh/g. Additionally, the adsorption performance of the carbon material towards a representative dye molecule was assessed via UV spectroscopy analyses. Supplementary experiments corroborated the material's ability to adsorb a distinct model molecule characterized by differing surface polarity, achieved through surface modification. This article presents pivotal findings that hold substantial implications for forthcoming research endeavors centered around the recycling of lignocellulose waste.
Road surface monitoring is essential for maintaining road environment safety through managing risk factors like rutting and crack detection. Using autonomous driving-based UGVs with high-performance 2D laser sensors enables more precise measurements. However, the increased energy consumption of these sensors is limited by constrained battery capacity. In this paper, we propose a fusion sensor system for efficient surface monitoring with UGVs. The proposed system combines color information from cameras and depth information from line laser sensors to accurately detect surface displacement. Furthermore, a dynamic sampling algorithm is applied to control the scanning frequency of line laser sensors based on the detection status of monitoring targets using camera sensors, reducing unnecessary energy consumption. A power consumption model of the fusion sensor system analyzes its energy efficiency considering various crack distributions and sensor characteristics in different mission environments. Performance analysis demonstrates that setting the power consumption of the line laser sensor to twice that of the saving state when in the active state increases power consumption efficiency by 13.3% compared to fixed sampling under the condition of λ=10, µ=10.
Using $Na_2CO_3$ and $MeSO_4$ (Me = Ni, Co and Mn) as starting materials, the precursor of $[Ni_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}]CO_3$ has been synthesized by carbonate co-precipitation. The precursor was mixed with $Li_2CO_3$, and calcined at 750, 850, and$950^{\circ}C$ in air. Effect of calcinations temperature on characteristics of $Li[Ni_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}]O_2$ cathode materials was investigated. The structure and characteristics of $Li[Ni_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}]O_2$ were determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical measurements. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) results show that the intensity ratio of $I_{(003)}/I_{(104)}$ increased and the R-factor ratio decreased with the increase of calcinations temperature. And Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) result show that the primary particle size increased. Especially, the $Li[Ni_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}]O_2$ calcined at $950^{\circ}C$ for 24 H shows excellent electrochemical performances with reversible specific capacity of $165.3mAhg^{-1}$ [cut-off voltage 2.5~4.3 V, 0.1 C($17mAhg^{-1}$)] and good capacity retention of 95.4% after 50th charge/discharge cycles[cut-off voltage 2.5~4.3 V, 1 C($170mAhg^{-1}$)].

Layered Ni-rich NCM cathode materials $Li[Ni_xCo_{(1-x)/2}Mn_{(1-x)/2}]O_2$ ($x{\geq}0.6$) have advantages of high energy density and cost competitive over $LiCoO_2$. The discharge capacity of NCM increases proportionally to the Ni contents. However, there is a problem that it is difficult to realize the stable electrochemical performance due to cation mixing. In this study, synthesis conditions for the layered Ni-rich NCMs are investigated to achieve deliver the ones having good electrochemical performances. Synthesis parameters are atmosphere, lithium source, synthesis time, synthesis temperature and Li/M (M=transition metal) ratio. The degree of cation mixing gets worse as the Ni content is increased from $Li[Ni_{0.6}Co_{0.2}Mn_{0.2}]O_2$ (NCM6) to $Li[Ni_{0.8}Co_{0.1}Mn_{0.1}]O_2$ (NCM8). It is confirmed that higher level of cation mixing affects negatively on the electrochemical performance of NCMs. Optimum synthesis conditions are explored for NCMx (x=6, 7, 8) in order to reduce the cation mixing. Under optimized conditions for three representative NCMx, a high initial discharge capacity and a good cycle life are obtained for $180mAh{\cdot}g^{-1}$, 96.2% (50 cycle) in NCM6, $187mAh{\cdot}g^{-1}$, 94.7% (50 cycle) in NCM7, and $201mAh{\cdot}g^{-1}$, 92.7% (50 cycle) in NCM8, respectively.
The application of composite cathode materials including $LiFePO_4$ (lithium iron phosphate) of olivine crystal structure, which has high thermal stability, were investigated as alternatives for hybrid battery-capacitors with a $LiMn_2O_4$ (spinel crystal structure) cathode, which exhibits decreased performance at high temperatures due to Mn-dissolution. However, these composite cathode materials have been shown to have a reduction in capacity by conducting life cycle experiments in which a $LiFePO_4$/activated carbon cell was charged and discharged between 1.0 V and 2.3 V at two temperatures, $25^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$, which caused a degradation of the anode due to the lowered voltage in the anode. To avoid the degradation of the anode, composite cathodes of $LiFePO_4/LiMn_2O_4$ (50:50 wt%), $LiFePO_4$/activated carbon (50:50 wt%) and $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ (50:50 wt%) were prepared and the life cycle experiments were conducted on these cells. The composite cathode including $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ of layered crystal structure showed stable voltage behavior. The discharge capacity retention ratio of $LiNi_{1/3}Co_{1/3}Mn_{1/3}O_2$ was about twice as high as that of a $LiFePO_4/LiMn_2O_4$ cell at thermal stability experiment for a duration of 1,000 hours charged at 2.3 V and a temperature of $80^{\circ}C$.
