In this paper, we develop the Grobner-Shirshov basis theory for the representations of associative algebras by introducing the notion of Grobner-Shirshov pairs. Our result can be applied to solve the reduction problem in representation theory and to construct monomial bases of representations of associative algebras. As an illustration, we give an explicit construction of Grobner-Shirshov pairs and monomial bases for finite dimensional irreducible representations of the simple tie algebra sl$_3$. Each of these monomial bases is in 1-1 correspondence with the set of semistandard Young tableaux with a given shape.

This study deals with the standardization of anthropometric terms related to body measurement points and lines that are to be the basis in body measurement. It investigates the state-of-the art of anthropometric terms used among middle and high schools, universities, dressmaking schools, and experts and set up the directions of standardization. According to the directions, 39 body measurement points and 9 body measurement lines were studied and a draft standards on anthropometric terms was suggested.

An improved K-means document clustering method has been presented, where a concept vector is manipulated for each cluster on the basis of cosine similarity of text documents. The concept vectors are unit vectors that have been normalized on the n-dimensional sphere. Because the standard K-means method is sensitive to initial starting condition, our improvement focused on starting condition for estimating the modes of a distribution. The improved K-means clustering algorithm has been applied to a set of text documents, called Classic3, to test and prove efficiency and correctness of clustering result, and showed 7% improvements in its worst case.

Two-dimensional slow viscous flow on infinite half-plane past a perpendicular infinite cavity is considered on the basis of the Stokes approximation. Using complex representation of the two-dimensional Stokes flow, the problem is reduced to solving a set of Fredholm integral equations of the second kind. The streamlines and the pressure and vorticity distribution on the wall are numerically determined.

A combinatorial description of the crystal $\mathcal{B}({\infty})$ for finite-dimensional simple Lie algebras in terms of certain Young tableaux was developed by J. Hong and H. Lee. We establish an explicit bijection between these Young tableaux and canonical bases indexed by Lusztig's parametrization, and obtain a combinatorial rule for expressing the Gindikin-Karpelevich formula as a sum over the set of Young tableaux.

This paper describes eye detection algorithm using edge information and Support Vector Machine (SVM). We adopt an edge detection and labelling algorithm to detect isolated components. Detected candidate eye pairs finally verified by SVM using Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernel. A detection rate over the test set has been achieved more than 90%, and compared with template matching method. this proposed method significantly reduced FAR.

As the effective use of information has gained greater attention over the decade, various conventional AI techniques have been applied to develop expert systems for business applications. Case-based reasoning (CBR) makes data more accessible by organizing it as a set of examples from past experience that can be generalized and applied to current problems. This paper illustrates basic concepts of CBR and addresses the system discussed in this paper can provide a basis for building more flexible and adaptable expert systems for business applications.

This paper presents a quasi-steady model of vibrations of two cylinders in a side-by-side arrangement. The cylinders have flexible support and equal diameters. The model assumes that both cylinders participate in the process of vibration, each of them having two degrees of freedom. The movement of cylinders is described by a set of four non-linear differential equations. These equations are evaluated on the basis of a numerical simulation and experimental data. Moreover many features of cylinder vibrations are found from numerical results and are described in this paper.

Recently, the Korean women has been steadily growing in number of wearing slacks , therefore the measurement data on lower part of body for slacks pattern construction have become needed. Thus, in order to obtain the measurement data, 304 of sophomore and junior classes form universities and colleges in Seoul city area were selected on purposed and , set to the object of study. In the course of measurement , thirteen items on lower part of body which is the basis of slacks pattern construction were measured, and then average balue, standard deviation and the mutual correlation were obtained.
