Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of BLS training in nursing students and their retention period. Methods: The participants were 48 nursing students enrolled in M University in Mokpo. Data were collected from September, 2009 through September 2010. Nursing students were tested for their knowledge, attitude, confidence before, immediately after, 4 weeks after, 8 weeks after, 6 months after, and 1 year after BLS training. In addition, their knowledge and skill of cardiopulmonary resuscitation were tested 5 times. Data were analyzed using the SPSS/PC 12.0 statistical program Results: Knowledge, attitude and confidence were significantly increased immediately after compared to before BLS training. Knowledge and confidence 6 months after, and attitude, performance ability and technical precision for ventilation and compression 4 weeks after BLS training were significantly decreased compared to immediately after. Conclusion: Overall retention of BLS training effects among nursing students, without reinforcement, decreases significantly after six months following initial training. BLS training in nursing students should be repeated every six months, especially performance training of BLS should be repeated every 4 weeks. In addition, to maintain the knowledge and skills of BLS, appropriate renewal time of certification and improvement of training programs are necessary.

The purpose of this study is to provide a brief overview of the helicopter pilot training system applied to the Army, and to examine what factors positively affect the successful flight training of helicopter pilots. For this purpose, we analyzed the correlations between various factors such as individual characteristics, selection factors, flight aptitude evaluation, theoretical subjects test, and self-life evaluation. As a result, it was found that only the flight experience was influential on the individual characteristics at the beginning of the training course, and the learning achievement represented by the test of theoretical subjects was positively influenced throughout the flight training course. This reaffirms the fact that an individual's high level of motivation or effort influences his flight training performance. These results are expected to be useful indicators for future development of pilot selection system and pilot training system.

In accordance with the stipulations of the STCW Convention, simulation training has been enforced in order to develop practical skills so as to prevent accidents by predetermining the risks in special marine environments. Simulation training is a useful way to acquire navigation abilities, and can continuously measure the ability of a trainee by applying an appropriate evaluation. However, the result of training is evaluated by the instructor's subjective judgment without quantitative criteria. Therefore, this study aims to quantitatively evaluate the effectiveness of simulation training. For this purpose, evaluation items were derived by analyzing legal standards, earlier studies, and the current status of MET institutions. The simulations were then performed three times in the same scenarios and analyzed the results. As a result, it has been shown that the objectively analyzed ability to keep the route and to make safe passage with other vessel, as well as subjectively evaluated ability by the apprentice officer has been improved as training progressed. Through the evaluation of simulation training results, it can be derived that simulation education needs supplementation, and can be provided as a basic form of data to quantify the evaluation results of the simulation training in the future.
This paper describes establishment of a pilot training plan, training and an outcome for Human Powered Aircraft which can take off, landing and fly using the energy generated by only human muscle without using mechanical power. To achieve these, a special trainer made a plan by considering physical trait of each pilot and each pilot was performed an indoor training for principle physical improvement, an outdoor training for generating sustainable power, a simulation training to learn maneuver ability. The pilot mastered the basic maneuver ability needed to fly and each pilot was lose their weight and experienced their improved physical strength via the training.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of climbing training combined with coordinative locomotor training on muscle thickness in normal adults and to provide basic data regarding its applicability to clinical practice. Methods: Coordinative locomotor and climbing training was conducted three times per week for six weeks. Each exercise session consisted of ten minutes of warm-up and 40 minutes of the main exercise. A post-test was conducted six weeks after the training began, and a follow-up test was done two weeks after the training ended. Results: There were significant differences in the participants' external and internal oblique abdominis muscles over time (p<0.05). There were also significant interactions in the external and internal oblique abdominis muscles over time and according to group (p<0.05). Conclusion: The findings indicate that coordinative locomotor training with climbing had positive effects in normal adults, including increased thickness of the external and internal oblique abdominis muscles. The findings hold value for patient rehabilitation and clinical applications and interventions using coordinative locomotor training in combination with climbing.

The purpose of the study is to investigate the effect of a simulation training of BLS in paramedics in pre-hospital situation. This a nonequivalence control quasi-experimental study. The study subjects were 8 paramedics of experimental group and 8 paramedics of control group in K fire department. An informed consent was written by the subjects after explaining of the purpose of the study. The study methods consisted of conventional education and practice training. The conventional education was done for 30 minutes and the practice training was taken by four trainees of one group and the instructor demonstrated Basic Iife Support (BLS) performance for three minutes. Each trainer peformed BLS for ten minutes. In the beginning of the course, two paramedics got off from the ambulance and performed BLS including 5 cycles of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Soon after the BLS, another two paramedics performed pre-hospital BLS survey. The education was guided by two professors of emergency medical technology, two Basic Iife Support instructors, and two emergency rescue directors. Pre-hospital BLS was measured by a 5-point Likert scale. Higher score means higher performance skills. The data were analyzed using SPSS/WIN 22.0 program set at significance level of p<05. The effect of simulation education was much more significant than the conventional education in BLS. The simulation education is very important and effective in improving the clinical performance skills of paramedics than the conventional education. The simulation education can provide the virtual environment of cardiac arrest to the paramedics. In conclusion, the simulation education can provide the effective teaching methods for various practice performance skills and solution by critical thinking in the paramedics and healthcare providers in the future.
Purpose: This research is based on experiments practiced with 6th grade students in primary school as subjects. They were trained in basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation theory and received actual training in CPR. Methods: The subjects were randomly sorted into two classes of the 6th grade students. The experimental group was composed of 35 students. The control group was composed of 32. The experimental group received basic CPR theoretical and practical education once and received a practical evaluation three times, with 4 weeks in between evaluations. The control group received CPR theoretical education before the study. The data was analyzed by ${\chi}^2$-test and t-test using the SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Results: Hypothesis 1 was that the basic CPR knowledge score would begin to decrease right after the education and continue to decrease as time passed. The experimental group's knowledge score continued to increase 12 weeks after education, but there was no decrease in the control group's knowledge score (F=5.870, p=.000). Hypothesis 2 was that the basic CPR attitude score would decrease right after the education and continue as time passed. There was no significant difference in the experimental group's score after education, nor was there any change in the control group's score on this measure (F=3.986, p=.004). Hypothesis 3 was that the subjects' confidence in practicing CPR would decrease right after education and continue as time passed. There was a significant decrease in the experimental group's score, but no significant change in the control group's score on this measure (F=75.574, p=.000). Hypothesis 4 was that the practical accomplishment evaluation score of CPR would decrease as time passed. There was a significant decrease in the experimental group's score on this measure right after education (F=38.368, p=000). Conclusion: Retraining for basic CPR education will be needed in all aspects of the education/training at least every 4 weeks, to preserve the students' retention of learned material/training. This is because students' scores fell significantly four weeks after education/training.
This paper presents a concept of training coursework for engineers in cooperation with the industry combining system, comparing Korea with France. The students, after first two years in a university for the foundation/basic courses, will be centered in the industry, rather than at an academic institution, where field training engineering coursework will be offered in structured or capstone design(problem based learning) formats through the industry. This study on the improvement of the concept has several advantages including the followings ; 1) Industry hiring local-area students who have the potential to be long-term employees; 2) Industry's immediate access to employees with developing engineering skills; 3) On-the-job training reduced industry training costs after graduation; 4) More effective learning through observing complex operations; 5) Students and industry input for continuous improvement of the curriculum; 6) Greater amenability on the part of industry to actively participate in research and development; 7) Increasing in the flow of real research problems for engineering. Finally, the implications for student quality, accreditation, assessment of partnership, academic freedom, and fundraising for scholarships and researches are discussed briefly.

Recently, the need of RPA(Remotely Piloted Aircraft) pilots is increasing rapidly with many requirements in order to be a beginner RPA pilot, including basic flight training, instrument flight qualification training, and aircraft type switching training. When RPA pilot gets disqualified, there will be generated much waste of efforts and expenses of trainees those pilots who are disqualified. Therefore, the methodology of pre-verifying those pilots who are not proper as RPA pilots through various scientific methods will save time and expenses with pre-reducing the pilots who will get disqualified later on. The methodology of aptitude test of RPA pilots is laid out as a consideration of pre-study of RPA pilots work analysis, and select types of aptitude test. A suitability of aptitude test is verified. In order to diagnose the flight aptitude precisely, it requires to be developed. Flight aptitude test tools might be connected with training program which could foster piloting aptitude with pre-diagnosing RPA pilot trainee selecting process. For that reason, we made an experiment in order to verify credibility and suitability of these selected programs with developing RPA pilot aptitude test tools. And also, we analyzed relationships among characteristics, analysis of data, and variables to verify the efficiency of data from prior experiment. Through this thesis, we expect to raise efficiency of flight training by providing pre-flight aptitude test information of RPA pilots.

Yuri Vasilyev - actor, director and drama teacher. Russian meritorious artist, winner of the stage "Medal of Friendship" awarded by Russian President Vladimir Putin; academician of the Petrovsky Academy of Sciences and Arts in Russia, professor of the Russian National Academy of Performing Arts, and professor of the Bavarian Academy of Drama in Munich, Germany. On the basis of a systematic understanding of performing arts, Yuri Vasiliev created a unique training method of speech expression and skills. From the complicated art training, we find out the most critical skills for focused training, which we call basic skills training. Throughout the whole training process, Professor Yuri made a clear request for the actor's lines: "action! This is the basis of actors' creation. So action is the key! Action and voice are closely linked. Actor's voice is human voice, human life, human feeling, human experience and disaster. It is also the foundation of creation that actors acquire their own voice. What we are engaged in is pronunciation, breathing, tone and intonation, speed and rhythm, expressiveness, sincerity, stage voice and movement, gesture, all of which are used to train the voice of actors according to the standard of drama. In short, Professor Yuri's training course is not only the training of stage performance and skills, but also contains a rich view of drama and performance. I think, in addition to learning from the means and methods of training, it is more important for us to understand the starting point and training objectives of Professor Yuri's use of these exercises.
