A Suggestion of New Approach for Measurement of Remaining Prestress (잔존프리스트레스 측정을 위한 새로운 접근법 제안)

  • The new approach is a kind method of restoring temporary defect. Here, it is important for the defect not to occur problems of both local effect and global system. A basic concept is that it measures remaining prestress of PSC structures during the defect is restored. This study suggested new approach for measurement of remaining prestress. Two important results are obtained. First, safety problems, local stress concentration and global system, are very satisfied. Second, measurement value exists within error bound $\pm$ 1% in comparison with known value.

  • We in this note introduce the concept of g-IFP rings which is a generalization of IFP rings. We show that from any IFP ring there can be constructed a right g-IFP ring but not IFP. We also study the basic properties of right g-IFP rings, constructing suitable examples to the situations raised naturally in the process.

  • This paper presents the design study of a rotary MRF(Magneto-Rheological Fluid) damper that can be conveniently used in the joints to control the damping torques. The basic design concept is to determine the geometric design variables allowing the magnetic flux to flow across the same sectional areas under volume constraint condition. The effects of each design variables for generating the torques were investigated by magnetic field analyses.

  • The basic concept of ‘gear profile modification’ is to change a part of the involute profile to reduce the load in that area and appropriate profile modifications can help gears to run quietly and resist scoring., pitting, and tooth breakage. In this study, the modification of tooth profile to make a smooth transmission of the normal loads in spur gears has been developed. The modified tooth profile has been determined by the total deflection at contact points. We also compared our results with other experimental results.

  • Molodtsov [8] introduced the concept of soft set as a new mathematical tool for dealing with uncertainties that is free from the difficulties that have troubled the usual theoretical approaches. In this paper we apply the notion of soft sets by Molodtsov to the theory of subtraction algebras. The notion of soft WS-algebras, soft subalgebras and soft deductive systems are introduced, and their basic properties are derived.

  • Korean Naval Ship acquisition processes are very complicate. There are 4 phases, Feasibility Study, Concept Design, Basic Design, Detail Design and Construction. A number of organizations and support groups exist to acquire naval war ships. Thus, It is very important how to establish traceability about requirements. This work has investigated how to improve traceability about requirements using Shipboard Work Breakdown Structure.

  • In 1998, Thakur and Singh introduce the concept of fuzzy $\beta$-continuity (Fuzzy Sets and Systems, 98(1998), 383-391). In this paper we introduce and study the notion of fuzzy slightly $\beta$-continuity. Fuzzy slightly $\beta$-continuity generalize fuzzy $\beta$-continuity. Moreover, basic properties and preservation therems of fuzzy slightly $\beta$-continuous functions are obtained.

  • We in this note introduce the concept of NCI rings which is a generalization of NI rings. We study the basic structure of NCI rings, concentrating rings of bounded index of nilpotency and von Neumann regular rings. We also construct suitable examples to the situations raised naturally in the process.

  • Railway is huge traffic system which is operated organically combining all the elements; vehicle, track, electric power, signal/communication, operation, etc. Safety level has ben improved steadily by learning lessons from past accident. But with rapid progress in high-speed, massive, high-frequency transit fresh idea of accident prevention is now in order. In quest of effective and efficient countermeasure, we aim to establish an adequate safety evaluation/management method. Our proposals are basic concept relating to safety analysis of fatal accidents, AHP of Saaty, Fuzzy AHP.
